Getting S Voice on the Epic Touch. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I tried it but my system app folder only has 14 megs if space and the file is 30 megs. So, anyone know how to change the size of the folder?

Not that I know of, I don't think its possible. You'll have to delete some stuff to make room. Things like the wallpaper APK's if you don't use. The touchwiz social things, stock widgets etc. There is plenty you can remove that you probably never use.

Same same, and it works great just don't try to change the "Hi Galaxy" line. If you did that, then uninstall and re-install.

I hope there's more cool apps from the gs3 that I can benefit from. Installed and worked for me the first time

i kind of have to agree. its pretty much the same as voice commands already except there is a voice that talks back. however, the talking voice only works on occassions for me on top of it FC and/or lagging. and i've tried every install method possible, it just doesnt seem to like my phone. plus i've noticed it drains the heck out of my battery.

It was wise marketing/defensive move by Samsung. Now a sales person can say if you only want an iPhone because of SIRI you can check out the galaxy s3 as it has more extensive voice commands over other Android phones.

Swype

AmI the only one havinga problem with swype? Notice how it doesn't always space between words? And it isn't as accurate asI am used to. Swype was way better on the epic whichI don't understand. What have they done.

It looks like there is an issue with automatic spacing in between and word and a single letter word. So every time you type something like "hey I" it ends up "heyi"

[APP] Android 4.2 Keyboard old version

Here is a link to the android 4.2 keyboard. It has gesture typing/ swype capabilities. According to DroidLife they think it's an earlier build than what was shown off by Google the other day. It's not quite as polished but nonetheless it's pretty neat. I like the aosp keyboard layout better than the swype layout, but I love the swype capabilities so this keyboard is awesome. Give it a try.
All thanks to DroidLife for putting this up for grabs! and of course Google for developing it!

I haven't tried the zip, but you should be able to do it either way. The problem mentioned on the site has to do with whether the ROM you are running has the stock android keyboard as an option. If it does you just need to clear data for the the stock keyboard and delete it from /system/app before installing the new 4.2 keyboard in /system/app.
edit:^^^What he said. For our phone just installing it like a normal 3rd party app will work.

Ignore most of that. I made it more complicated than necessary. It pertains mostly to nexus devices (might be necessary on some AOSP based ROMs). If you really want a better explanation, I was getting that info. from android police.

You can download it on your phone/ transfer it from your computer to wherever you want it saved. Then yes you can use a file explorer to find it, tap on it, and install it. Although, if you download it directly to your phone you can click on it from the notification bar.

And that is why the OP details are always important.. Would have save a few clicks of the mouse.
See it on a few devices so unless someone is willing to port it over and test.. but the short search of ports looks like a TW base would be the way you'd have to go. Breaks the actual puzzle and all you'd get is a touch location.. Desire Z folks, sidekickers, mezmorized peeps, Evos.. failed.
Seeing how it's on the Galaxy S, maybe someone here will try.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but I'd never would have suggested an app if the OP would have stated you were on CM10. Hopefully you can uninstall it and get back to normal.
Ask for a port, revamp your OP. State your current setup, details, and what you're looking for. It never hurts to ask and it never hurts to provide as many details as you can.
