Yes... ;-) Good to see you over here.
There might be a wifi issue with the build bot build. I'm building my own as a bandaid while I fix the aokp source. So if that official build doesn't work I'll have one up soon. Sit tight boys. I'll get you one.

Nice, I can't believe AOKP team restarted adding new devices to the list of the officially supported ones since they said they won't. Good news, thanks for the thread .

I can be very persuasive ;-)
Check the test builds link for a build with working wifi. You guys can peak in there from time to time at your own risk. I post builds with stuff I'm working on that is ready for peeps to play with. They are built from my repo which means they have extra goodies too.

Glad to see this over here, since I use your AOKP build on my Fascinate. Just curious, what kernel is this using? Most of the ICS ROMs for the KF are using Hashcodes' 3.x kernel (or a variation of it) as it enables things like hardware acceleration. I know the Fascinate ROM uses the Glitched kernel, so I was curious how that translated over to the KF.

Hashcodes kernel it's the best kernel for the fire right now so we are using that. If we decide to get glitchy we will probably push changes his way and let him do his thing. No point in remaking the wheel.

Looks nice
this looks very nice. What are the current issues (as of 5/24/12)? Sorry if this is a repeat.
Im very nervous about flashing a rom

I think the Build bot build (Official Build has wacky wifi due to an old kernel) The test build I put up has everything working but usb as far as I can tell. It's my wifes kindle so I only get it at night when she goes to sleep to work on it...
I'll be pushing the updated Hashcode kernel to AOKPs gerrit tonight so the Official build bot will put out good builds from here on out.

Thank you. There's a couple of things I noticed might be missing (or maybe different between CM9 and AOKP):
1. I can't find the Hold Back to Kill option anywhere. I know it's on the Fascinate build, so I'm probably just missing it.
2. On the CM9 roms I've used (like the stock one Hash uses with his kernel), there's an option to Hide Status Bar (I think it's typically somewhere under Display). It allows a few apps to actually use full screen (Netflix and Google Play Books are two I can think of). Without the option, the buttons on the status bar basically become dim circles, but are still present. Not really a big deal, but thought I'd mention it.
Thanks again for the great work.

1) Romcontrol/Nav bar set long press to anything you want. Including kill app.
2) romcontrol/powermenu show navigation bar toggle. Long press power button press the little power button to hide/unhide
There are many many things different. Go exploring.

Use the build from the test link the build bot isn't building the most up to date kernel... Already been stated.

Love AOKP on my RAZR and have tried a couple of AOKP roms from months ago that were kinda iffy. Glad to see the kindle supported officially (unlike cm9 yet) and as a crackflasher i appreciate the timely updates from the AOKP branch..Thank you for compiling this rom!!!

[ROM][4.1.1] Unofficial CM10 Nightly

This build of CM10 will only keep up with what is actually merged into the code for CM10. Primarily this was made because of how infrequent the building goes with the official nightlies, but now i continue on regardless of anything...

as per usual:
Code:
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, for any bugs in the rom,
or if your cat decides to eat your phone because its now full of awesome.
This build is very much identical with the official build, u can switch from official and my build without any fear of having to wipe your phone.. the only difference is that i have the build script change the cyanogenmod version to more reflect like a nightly
I'll start build in the evenings, probably take a little bit depending on how much is new and the real wait is me actually uploading it.. (I have terrible upload speeds!)
Known Issues:
None
Instructions:
Download rom
Go to recovery
Wipe rom if coming from another rom, u dont have to wipe if ur coming from official nightly
Flash rom
Flash gapps, this u dont have to do every time just when u first come to the rom (the rom backs up gapps)
Boot into rom
???
Profit!
the torrent file only contains the rom, it uses a webseed, code.google.com. u can use this if u ever have to pause to download or such.. u dont have to seed, i dont mind.. but others might like u to

toro is CDMA, and this is also a thread posted in the CDMA subforum, so I'm guessing CDMA and not GSM.
Thanks for the contributions, OP!
Quick question, though -- should Facebook contact sync be working with this build? I still don't see it...
yes, just CDMA.. I would make a universal but I don't have a maguro off hand.. I load this rom up myself while I'm uploading it, and I won't post it if the build isn't working

no, cyanogenmod himself took it out because of how buggy it is.. and believe me when i say it was rather buggy.... x.x if i remember correctly he said he will reimplement it as soon as facebook gets theyre app working properly.. cant seem to find where i read this, so take that with a grain of salt..
Sorry to bug, but I'm not seeing the option to enable the search key in the 3/6 build. Am I missing something or is it gone? (Oh please don't let it be gone)

do you mean in the navigation bar? this rom is based upon what is actually merged into cyanogenmod code, that ability hasn't merged yet.. i was playing around with that last night tho.. the way the developer is doing it is rather interesting..
i am now committing the way the maintainer does it, as he has solved the my verizon app issue, it just doesnt work to well on wifi.. im now using koush's proprietary toro repo
also to note, after he solved this he made a new official nightly.. i wouldn't be to upset if u grabbed it, but its exactly how mine is currently.. my build tonight should be almost identical to this but with whatever has merged since then, if anything
I do mean in the Nav bar, apologies for being unclear.
I just came from an outdated kang from Winner, and the option was in the old Cyanogen Settings app. I see that most of the options had been merged in to the main settings application.
This build seems very nice, but I may have to roll back/try out AOKP, because I have a hard time operating without the search key.

i understand, mainly on the fact that i love my keys in reverse (recent apps, home, back) and i do miss this feature.. as were u, i came from winner00's rom too, i changed from that to the official nightly because id rather stay in line with whats being merged, not things that could be merged but isn't.. i am really excited for this feature and i really cant wait...

I'm on the official nightly and it rejects my Verizon login but the widget data use display is accurate so the official nightly isn't 100% right yet.

This is a self-compiled kang of CM12 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, most comparable to a CM nightly build. You need not apply if you’re not comfortable with testing out new and possibly broken features. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.

Intro...
Some of you may already know me. I build for several other devices with Euroskank. I don't have manta, yet, but compiled for a friend and figured why not add it to the list. This is not officially supported yet (as of 11-29-2012) by the CM team on 4.2.1, so please bare in mind as you stumble across "issues."
Our builds are available directly from the site, and also via Goo Manager and Rom Manager.
The fastest notification for new builds is via twitter. All builds tweet immediately upon upload.
Enjoy!
Sweet!!! I just finished a CM10 build... if only I waited a bit!!

This is great to see this here. I have been running this since last night without issue. Been a long time Skank fan. I am also running this on my gnex, n7, and n10. Can we maybe move this over to the Original thread? Seems a bit more fitting place for this. I am excited and look forward to future builds. Thank you.

I'm the first to admit that I don't fully understand the difference between the 2 development threads. I saw Craig's aosp build in this section, so I parked my thread here, too. Not sure I see how it matters.

Haven't noticed anything. I did lose wifi after applying darkjelly theme. Rebooted and still no wifi so I hit forget password retyped it & rebooted again and wifi came back on. Not sure what caused it but heres a log. http://db.tt/0YhU5sWE also happened to me applying Black exodus but I just did it now and it never lost wifi...
Seems to me on "some" of the themes after applying them, wifi wont come back on unless hit forget on password and re-enter pw and reboot. Definitely no biggy just figured I'd mention something about it.. Am I the only person this has happened to? Strange if so I did a full wipe and had md5 checked..

UPDATE-
Update:
The next build has been synced to Atinm's repo, which should more closely approximate the repo being currently synced to the official CM. Please let me know if there are any issues readily noticeable, as I'm certain that he will want to know ASAP. Additionally, the wallpaper hack was updated and then merged. Please assess the dock divider (or any other launcher related) issue, and report back.
Cheers! :good:
UPDATE-
I reverted the merged "wallpaper hack" and have been told that the trebuchet issue has been corrected. This is present in the new-newest build.

OmniRom - Praise and Appreciation

Hey Guys,
With OmniRom in the news recently, just thought i'd try and give them some credit for their work. Remind some of you that might have forgotten about it... since there isn't an official thread for our device, but they are nice enough to provide nightlies for the M7
(Pons had one when he was making the homebuilds though, and it was greatly appreciated http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2574641 ) ,
It's been my go to for quite a while. and it's always my go to when another rom gets buggy.
Stable, great battery life, some awesome features.
Plus it's open, they share everything.
I flash every update of just about every ROM available. But i always have an Omni nandroid backup saved.
List of the innovative features:
New - Google hotwords customization from the home screen (launcher3 needed, haven't tested it yet myself)
OmniSwitch
Open Delta - Download / flash only new updates for nightlies. No need for a 200+mb file everyday.
Flash after update - part of Open Delta - flashes whatever zips you want after update.. keep SU, xposed, etcetera
Sound Packs - change all sounds on your device with one file (usually a theme..IE Zelda Sounds)
Also includes a bunch of other options i'm sure you've come to expect - Contextual Headers and Header Shortcuts, DSP manager, active display, Custom button actions... ect.
There aren't as many options as say, AICP, LiquidSmooth or PAC (all awesome, amazing roms in their own way)
It's vanilla android, but stable and reliable (not saying the others aren't by any means!)
Just my personal opinion and would like to know if others feel the same.
Nightly Changelog. https://changelog.omnirom.org/#/m7vzw/next
Download: http://dl.omnirom.org/m7vzw/ (be patient.. little slow)
XDA General Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/omni
Thanks team Omni!

That is weird keyboard voice recognition works fine for me I did flash bucks kernel though so idk if that has something to do with it.
If your going to try and use his kernel it Bork's data so you have to flash it boot the ROM then go back into recovery and dirty flash the rom again.

Hey guys so I finally got cm11 to build for me so I was looking around for a ROM we Dont have for our phone yeah hard to do in terms of what we Dont already have official support for. Anyways I ran across a ROM called eos been running about 24 hours now and really liking it. Its a very basic aosp ROM and @buckmarble 5/27 kernel works perfect with it. That's the kernel he has packaged with his ROM dt2w and s2w work perfectly.

Sounds like they haven't changed over to cms unified kernel setup if my vanilla aosp kernel is working on it.

I was on your ROM but I wanted to be able to change the battery icon without installing xposed framework.

Man, i missed a lot going back the past week!
I have tried the hotwords with Omni, it was hit or miss it seemed.
But, i didn't know if that was due to the launcher apk i installed. It started acting pretty crazy so I uninstalled and pretty much went with the theory like coachcrey... it's new, wait it out.
I've been running the EOS rom though for about a day ( their nightlies are at http://downloads.codefi.re/teameos/nightlies/HTC/m7vzw ...it's not exactly easy to find).
Seems to be pretty solid. Works well.
But, to be honest, nothing to really persuade me to staying with it. But, good enough that i'll keep an eye on it for the future.

** BEFORE ANYONE ASK**
Im working on an LS970 version as well. Having a few issues at the moment, but hope to have one out soon.
**CURRENT BUGS**
F yeahhhhh, thank you. What kernel did you use?
Awesome work! I'm glad you're on this. I made myself a build awhile back but it didn't turn out how I wanted.
What kernel do you have in this first build? Is it ak genesis?
What are the plans for implementing the new features floating around? Better battery and camera patches for gee?
^^Haha. You beat me to it. I'm watching Sherlock Holmes so I was distracted and took longer than I thought to type.

For now, built in kernel is AK Genesis. I may switch it in the future, or improve it, not sure yet. As for the rest, I'm already looking into the camera patches. Everything else will be as time permits.
If you are hoping to get official support then keep it "stock", otherwise go mod crazy. With fausts camera patches it will be perfect.

I'm not building any Roms in hope of official support. When your official your obligated, and rightfully so, to contribute to the rom regularly. While I'm all for contributing, and do whenever possible, it's easier for me to tweak and build things on my own time right now

That's life man. I stay pretty busy myself nowadays. Had some free time today so decided to dive in. Glad to hear from you man.
Solid effort here. It is, however, missing torch, which isn't a big deal since there's enough of those apps out there to download. The issue does occur when, in Phone settings, I try to check the Pulse torch on incoming call setting, where it force closes. But again, this rom is so solid that minor things like this just becomes apparent.
Nice job.

That's also something connected to torch not working. Once torch works, it should as well. I should have it fixed today.

I believe it is, but I'm waiting, like several others, for the Dev to push his work to github so I can build the commits in. I tried to apply the patches last night, but turns out I suck at patches I plan on trying again tonight just so I know how, but regardless it's hopefully coming soon. Also, when you applied it to my DU, did you flash that zip? Or how else did you do it?

Yes, I flashed the experimental franco kernel zip that faux posted... but it turned out it autoreboots A LOT, maybe because faust implemented, besides the camera, bus undervoltage (I don't know what that is, but faust said that in his thread). It doesn't reboot only in DU, it also reboots the CM ROM faust has in his thread.
But the camera in it, wow, it's 5000x better than gee camera.
EDIT - I don't know jack **** about this stuff, but could this help you?

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I couldn't even get the zip to flash, but the extra stuff is probably the reason it reboots.

Paranoid Android 5.0Hello friends, this is my unofficial build of Paranoid Android. I'll put information here when I think of stuff to put here...
About AOSPAParanoid Android is a custom ROM aiming to extend the system, working on enhancing the already existing beauty of Android and following the same design philosophies that were set forward by Google for Android Open Source Project.
Paranoid Android is often considered one of the most cutting edge ROMs. The team at PA more often than not brings everything to the table and more to boast tasteful design and elegant performance.

Happy flashing friends, it took me a good amount of time to get this working, I hope you enjoy it. There's not much in terms of features right now. I assume they're working on that. We are on the legacy builds, so we get everything after the official ones do. Buuuut, we have PARANOID ANDROID NOW YIPPEE!
A few notes:
-I have added my own kernel to this build mainly because in order to get the build to go correctly I had to remove an important part of the source kernel or two (it didn't play nice D:<)
-For the current build (25th) I have added a Bluetooth commit from Cyanogen that is not in the normal build in order to well, make the ROM compile. But also, Bluetooth might have an issue or two because it's my own little changes not an official PA change.
-Updates are planned on a weekly basis. Please be patient, I have a life outside of this that is very demanding.
-I may not be able to fix everything, and everything probably doesn't work. The sources for this build are a day or two old because of all the time I spent fixing everything up. It's smooth sailing from here on out friends
-Of course, enjoy the ROM!!!
So this post is reserved.
But also, we have PA now! We would have had it sooner if I wasn't so darn stupid and used the legacy sources instead of the official sources from the start!
Either way, happy flashing.
Ill be the 1st to test this bad boy...thanks
Thank u
Ill be the second. Will report any bugs...
Can you port the latest PA kitkat rom. That would be awesome!!!
Anybody tested it? Can I install it on Korean F240S?
Nice job!
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk
After doing some testing the messaging and such could use a little work. Also, screen doesn't turn on with the home button for me. I can't use my swipy keyboard but that's probably the gapp's fault not PA's.
It is also missing tons of features Cyanogenmod/Bliss would have otherwise. I think this is because it's in Alpha and they're trying to bring everything up to Lollipop
Either way, I'm just really happy it finally works. Flasher beware, it's not in the best shape right now. But as the days roll on we'll see a complete ROM come up.
And PA Kitkat? Hmmm, maybe I WOULD like to set that up, but I just got Lollipop rolling, and the Java would have to be downgraded, my sources would, it'd take a while for ONE build, you know? We'll see how I feel about it in the coming days. Of course keep your eye out for other possible ROMs coming up you never know what's around the corner...

Search for the F240 kernel for CM12. Should work. No promises though

It is, but it's very heavily modified. They use some of CMs stuff, and then a lot of it is a very smooth custom job. You know? Hardest ROM to build for me so far hands down. Just build LS and it took me one try... Very easy compared to this beast
