Looking for a case with clip as thick as the Rearth RingKe slim case.. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Guys, Im looking for a case like the Rearth RingKe slim case but with a clip on section (like seidio's).
The cases that seidio and otterbox make are just too thick. I do want the belt clip part though.
Edit: Im looking at the Seidio Surface Combo.. If you guys know of any alternatives, let me know.

I have the ringke slim and it works perfectly with the belt holster from the kickstand case from vz. Have been using the combo for a month or so with no issues. I also use the oem extended battery and it has been my perfect setup.
Hope that helps.

The only thing that worries me about the ringke one is all the reports of the paint chipping or peeling after a couple of months..

Using the ringke white case with the seido 2100 extended battery clip works pretty good together

I ended up getting the Seidio surface case and holster, but I really wanted the Ringke SLIM for the case.
What Im not liking about the Ringke is the reports that they crack and the paint starts to peel off.

Good Mytouch 4G case

So currently I have a cheap case I bought on ebay and it's messing up my invisibleshield on the sides. Whenever I grip the sides it pushes up against the shield and dust gets in there.
I'm considering buying a new case but I'm not sure what one to get so it won't mess up the shield. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking the tpu case but I'm not sure. What do you guys think?

Hands down the best cases you can get for your phone at the TPU fusion cases. All TPU cases are great, but the TPU fusion just has a slightly higher level of detail.
There is a thread in this section about the TPU fusion cases that also has an online coupon code for like 10% off their already really cheap price.
I would link but I'm feeling lazy today. Happy hunting

I agree! Best case I've used so far (and I've used silicone, tpu, trident cyclops, and the aegis). Thing rocks and really does protect

Used to have more colors but now only have black, clear and red.
Act quick!
I originally bought the black gel skin from T-Mobile when I bought my phone. It was a lint magnet, though, and it added a significant amount of bulk to the phone. So I ended up buying a translucent smoke colored TPU case, OEM HTC variety, from Amazon. It's nice, feels good, looks good, has cutouts for all the buttons (so they aren't hard to press like some TPU cases) and doesn't add a huge amount of bulk to the phone, while also making it easier to hold onto.
I have used the Otterbox Commuter and the TPU Fusion case. I switch between the two. Plus they both protect the phone well and fit inside of my Seidio holster.
Trident aegis case FTW

Is the Seidio holster you're using the standard one for the MT4G? Or did you have to use a larger size? I'm looking for a good case to replace the Seidio one I'm currently using, but I like the design of the Seidio holster...

As previously stated, the trident case is very good, but if your not willing to spend the money you can go for the TPU fusion. Its cheaper, and still has a modern look to it.

lol this seems like itll feel weird, especially in the pocket
the TPU Fusion case is the best ive seen..
the regular silicone cases are nice too but the rubber is so grip-y that its hard to pull the phone out of the pocket lol
The trident case looks great I'm going to order it.
my sister has the TPU case and i think im going to pick one up they look great and feel good in the hands.
I bought this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004K575E0/ref=oh_o02_s00_i01_details
It's not so much a case IMO but more of a glove. The phone remains extremely slim still and its pretty stiff.

Try the Otterbox Commuter case. It's fairly cheap for a otterbox, and it looks like it'd be a good case that would work well with invisishield,

Thinking about a case?

Get the seidio surface, mine just came today and it puts the incipio case i got from verizon to shame.
It's really thin, the fit is perfect, and it doesn't attract fingerprints or get stuck going in or out of your pocket.

Which Incipio case did you have? I have the Incipio Feather case coming, as I absolutely loved the Feather on my ZuneHD.
Just got the incipio feather today, most likely going to be returning it to try out the casemate barely there or the seidio case.
i really dont like the feather fit, its very loose on the nexus

just a standard battery, i HIGHLY doubt the case will fit with the extended battery. Especially because there's a front piece and a back piece that snap together.
from the youtube review it looks like it's missing the cut off for the 3 pin connector.

Holster that easily accepts skinned GS2?

I put the carbon fiber on my GS2. I love it, but now I am having a hard time finding a holster that fits. I understand a hardened case not fitting, but what is a good holster? What about getting an xtra large one that fits the Nexus?
I have carbon fiber on mine too and i'm using the Seidio Surface case which has an awesome holster. Actually I bought the case/holster combo at Best Buy, the packaging says Titanium brand but it's made by Seidio. Matte feel and pretty sturdy! Hope this helps.

Hard case with a holster or a belt clip (smaller than the Defender)

I am trying to find for a nice hard case, but for me the option to wear the phone on the belt is important. So I am looking for something slimmer than the Otterbox Defender but with more or less the same functionality. I saw a lot of hard cases around and still non offers the combination of a case and a belt clip (other than the Defender - I had it for a couple of days and it is fat to bulky for my taste)
So I am opened for suggestions - please share your information. Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I think you can try some metal case. But the finishing of the metal case on the market can be terrible. Don't try those case listed on EBAY. They are cheap but bad. Thick metal layer and poor finishing. Also they are not as hard as the metal you are used to know.

Thanks for the answer - in my opinion the metal cases do not provide the necessary protection - you need a soft plastic part to absorb the shock of a fall and a hard one to take the initial blow
And the hybrid cases provide really nice protection - but most of them are too bulky. And a belt clip is an important part as well
Here is a case that fits your description. Had one on my inspire for a while And liked it.

Thank you for the reply. Its a nice case, but I don't think it comes with a belt clip
The Seidio cases offer what you're looking for. If you don't like the Surface, the Active series would better suit your needs since has the softer cover and the harder shell as well as a holster. There's also a version that comes with a metal kickstand

I've had this one for about a month now. Great combination of hard case with rubber to absorb shock with kickstand am holster.

It does have a holster, if you look around you will find it.
Edit: here check it out....

I had the same case for the s2. Ive been through 2 of them in a months time. The clip will snap off if there is any kind of a harder bump while clipped onto your belt. I would pass on it. Spend a little more money for a nicer case that wont break on ya right away.
Thank you all for the suggestions and comments. So I think I will go in the direction of Seidio - does anyone know the dimensions of the active and the surface cases?
How much bigger is the active case?
I was unable to find the dimensions on the web page
I use this holster http://www.niteize.com/product/Clip-Case-Cargo-Tall.asp and this case http://www.incipio.com/Samsung-Gala...ualPro-Hard-Shell-Case-with-Silicone-Core.asp. The case is thin but protective and the holster is tough and protects the phone.

I had the Seidio surface from Best Buy but 1) It was very slick and would slip out of your hands 2) Didn't have a kickstand. I went with the Seidio active from Versio Mobile.Com and couldn't be happier. It is a 2 part case, isn't that much bigger, or heavier and has the kickstand. Also the entire phone is covered where as with the surface case it didn't. Additionally the cut out for the MICRO/MHL plug is bigger on the active which will enable you to use more charging cables. The hole on the surface case only allowed me to use the Samsung cable.

Will Diztronic TPU case & Seidio Surface Holster work together?

Just wondering if anyone has tried to match the two of these together....
I purchased a Diztronic TPU case for my Nexus 5 - I would like to place it into a Seidio Surface holster while I am at work.
Does anyone know if the Diztronic and the Seidio holster work together with the Nexus 5?
Thanks
Well my Surface holster just showed up tonight and my guess is it would be a no go. The stock bumper case fits but extremely tight on the bottom. My Ringke fusion case is a little more snug then the official bumper case. Both are a little to thick. Prefect fit side to side and height wise. I had an active holster and Ringke e fusion for my N4 and was sloppy so I figured I would try the surface holster. Taking my holster in to work tomorrow and pull out the die grinder and do some trimming and I think it will fit perfectly after take a little bit out of the bottom of the holster. I hope this helps you out.

I don't have the Diztronic case but I did have both the Cruzerlite and Diztronic cases for my EVO 4G LTE and they both worked flawlessly with the seidio surface holster for that phone. My assumption is that the Diztronic would work fine with the surface holster like the cruzerlite cases do

I just got the Diztronic TPU for my Verizon LG G2, and it fits PERFECTLY in the Seidio Surface holster!!!! The Nexus 5 is basically the same phone as the G2, so I am 99% sure it will be fine for you.
I would point out that the only thing that's a little awkward is that the non-slip "grip" of the TPU material is so grippy that you can't easily "pop the phone in" past the hinged clip - you have to lift the hinge back with one finger, put the phone in, and then let the clip spring back over the phone. Not a big deal, but just "different". I guess I'll have to learn a new hand motion.
