Capacitive Touchscreen Stylus.100 % Working!! - XPERIA X8 Accessories

I have seen that many people around here wanted a stylus that works with capacitive touchscreens like ours.
This guide :- http://www.instructables.com/id/Poor-Mans-Capacitive-Stylus/?ALLSTEPS
It just works like a charm.
To ensure that the phone does't get any scratches, tie a small piece of a plastic bag around the thumb tack but keep it in mind that your hand should touch the clip.

... Yea, its okay, but Soooo mannyy scratchezz on mah screen broo!.

yeah..................you may try tying a small cut out piece of a plastic bag around the tack. No scratches from then!!

Nice instructable

There are capacitive gloves now available which apparently work with tablets and mobile phones, although I would imagine it would be interesting trying to type on a mobile device with big woolen gloves!

[Q] Best way to clean the screen?

Hey guys, was looking for effective methods that specific XPlay owners use to clean their screen. Thanks for the info!
I've just got a specsavers glasses cloth, which works fine.
I usually use a silk piece of matter and a low-concentrated soap water. I used it for years previously on PCs and laptops now on phones...never had an issue.
I always only use microfiber cloths with good results when doing a full clean. Otherwise I usually just use the shirt I have on at the moment.
I use the micro fibre cloth or whatever from my iPhone 4, its the same as the specsaver glasses fibre cloth.

[Inquiry] possible rubbing compounds to fix scratches on the screen?

Hi.
Recently, for the first time in months I was able to experience broad daylight. And I saw three scratches on my hox.
Can anyone confirm a certain product able to remove them?
Much appreciated if it is available locally here in the Philippines. The 3M one is yet to call me back for availability.
Thanks guys

The screen has an oleophobic coating, you'll lose that before touching the scratches.

and you don't wanna lose it - the coating increases hardness to around 9h, versus 7h without the coating.
So I'm opting to replacement housing as best resolution?
Thanks for the lightning fast feedback by the way

Replacement housing won't have the screen as such, old phones would have when they weren't touch screen, but in these the screen and the glass that covers is its own unit, the glass is glued to the screen, unfortunately if you want to replace, you'd need the whole new screen
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
the best solution i have found to remove scratches(doesn't really) is to put a screen protector, especially if the scratches are thin/small.
but you can try using a car-scratch marker, if the scratches are that deep XD
Gonna note that down. How about 3m stuffs? Need some more options before I start killing myself heh

worst case scenario: ad a LITTLE heat (like a tiny bit at a time) just to soften a tiny bit, and then push it closer to the battery. not too much, so you don't melt anything.
here my, it's a Box Wave case with no back cover. i don't use it much cause the power button is to stiff and the side grip feel like sh*t
I remember back in the day, those clear candy bar shape phones with the flashing lights inside was all the rage lol .. these phones just dont look as cool inside lol

I like it alot so far but the tpu has rough edges, wondering if anyone knows how I could attempt to fix it? I know I could just try sandpaper but would hate to ruin a new case if the sandpaper doesnt work
What part of it is too rough?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I haven't done it on neoprene, but possibly a lapping kit may work. For example, when I lap a cpu or water block, I can usually find a lapping kit which includes various types/levels of roughness of sandpaper. Obviously it would be on the other spectrum as a cpu but one of the pieces should work, it usually includes about 10 different kinds. I'll see if I have any left, cause I usually use the second softest to polish, which may work

I doubt it because lg screens are a bit complicated and ppl are scared to attempt it. However there are how tos on YouTube you can follow. I would go with the link I gave since the two pieces are attached. With the separate piece you might have to loca the glass to the LCD so u don't get an air bubble in the middle or dust in the screen after time. My first time fixing my Note I didn't use no loca since none of the vids instructed to do so. Worst experience ever, thank god I was able to take it apart and redo it.

DO NOT touch the battery if it gets poked or bent out of shape a little it will go bad very quickly. Obviously unplug it from the board but thats it, and its only 2 connections to get the screen off the main board. Everything is pretty easy once you get inside. I watched a video and that was a huge help.

Get both. All things being equal, your best bet is to replace both. Since screen and digitizer are so close together on this phone a break like you got probably means both are damaged anyway.
