LG UI 3.0 & Widget - optimized for G. Nexus - Better than TouchWiz5? (Update2.1)(ICS) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

LG UI 3.0 & Widget - optimized for G. Nexus - Better than TouchWiz5? (Update2.1)(ICS)
I have optimizied this beautiful and super smooth launcher for our galaxy nexus. this was necessary due to layout problems caused by the on screen buttons. The launcher was originally ported by Impact7
i have added the very nice weather widget/app and the lg notes app. Simplay flash the zip with cwm.
Update 2.1:
- Widget showing correct time now (fixed by impact7, big THX)
- added three themes
Features:
- based on stock ics launcher
- Folders in App-Drawer and Homescreens
- Creating folders like on stock ics
- LG Icons can be used (using own icons from gallery doesn't work yet)
- Calendar App Icon allways showing the right date
- Weather Widget in 2 sizes
- extremely smooth scrolling

Looks awesome, but trying to set custom icons using the gallery button does nothing.

Wish we should get rid of the Google search bar to have more room.

Is it possible to get just the weather separately? I tried pushing the apk I got from the other thread and changed permissions but the widget would not load..

Icon so big

Post your clock/weather widget

I've been using Beautiful Widgets for awhile with its SuperClock 4x1 widget. I like everything about it except its default skin is starting to look a bit dated on Jelly Bean and downloading new skins on ICS or JB doesn't seem to work. What clock/weather combo widgets is everyone using on JB? Post a pic if you like.
2 things I like: 4x1 instead of 4x2 and access to more weather info with a tap like BW provides. One tap access to alarms and calendar are musts as well.

Thanks, is that the skin just named Jelly Bean? I was previously downloading the Ice Cream Sandwich skin (top of the list when sorting by most downloads), I guess the issue with it not showing up in the list was isolated to that one.

Hello guys and welcome to my ChromeOS inspired theme.
Believe it or not, I have been working on this theme since 14 August. After lot of testing there are some application have fonts bug, i will try to keep updating this theme once a week but i want from you guys to give me the application names.
But, i can't fix every program since some of them have no color.xml or background so they use system files. Other like Youtube or XDA program they already been fixed because they have color.xml file and that just make my life easier lol
So far this theme is only for Galaxy Nexus, Why? because you have to install a new modified Contacts.apk.
How to install:
1. Download Contacts.apk and install it from Rom Manager (No worries it's like default Contacts application, just there is s small code that will affect ONLY this theme).
2. Download Theme and install.
3. Apply theme (If you get any error just switch to system theme / reboot and apply again).
4. Download white Keyboard and install it from Rom Manager (No need to if you don't want to use it).
5. Done.
Special thanks to BAMF Team for letting me use some of there code.
Anyone know who is the wifi/signal creator please tell me.
If you like my work, please click the thanks button.

Motorola Launcher with Circle 3D Widget

http://d-h.st/rmU
I extracted Motorola Launcher and Circle 3D Widget from Atrix HD stock ROM and modified these APKs a little bit to make them work on Galaxy Nexus.
How to install:
+ Extract zip file -> "system" folder -> open "system" folder -> 2 folders "app" and "lib"
+ Homescreen.apk, CircleWidget3D.apk, and Weather.apk in "app folder"
+ libnative_renderer.so and libtexture_mem.so in "lib" folder
+ Copy all files above into your SD card
+ Using Root Explorer to copy them to /system/app and /system/lib. Set permissions and reboot.
Everything works perfectly.

Can I just install the widget without the launcher? If not, I haven't done anything like this before, so what's the order of the permissions?
Sorry for both noob questions!

Circle 3D Widget only works with Motorola Launcher.
Copying those files to /system/app and /system/lib, set permissions as rw-r--r--, then reboot.

I have no idea about which one is more stable and what differences between them are. Give it a try to see how it works.
For some reason when I try to place the circles widget on the home screen, it will say this widget isn't supported on 3rd party launchers even though I am using the Motorola launcher.

I experienced the same problem when my Galaxy Nexus was on Codename Android 3.6.6. However, after I did a clean installation of Codename Android 3.8.0, the Circle Widget 3D and Motorola Launcher worked. I don't understand why.

This is nice. One of the few system launchers from another phone I actually like. The Messaging label on your screen is not cutoff but on my phone it is.
Theres an app on the market called One More Clock...has this same circle clock/weather
Anyone got the Play Library widget to work on this home screen? Says the widget size is 6c4 yet the launcher is only 4x4. Or anyone seen a resized widget? Cheers.

Thnx for sugestions.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Modding the stock launcher is pointless when you can replace it with Nova or Trebuchet, imo...
Nova barely takes less resources than stock launcher I heard..
The same was for me. Several weeks ago i asked to post launcher without search box, and was bombarded with answers about other launchers.
If i wanted to use nova or other i wouldnt ask to post modified one. Please be on topic

It's annoying to fork, mod and build a package just for one person and make a nice flashable zip for them too. Especially when other stuff is around which can do the same thing.
You could look into how to do it yourself. Then you'll know how to do so in the future. I think the better question to ask is how do I mod the launcher to how I see fit, rather then ask someone to do it for you. This is a development forum. I don't want to come off as condoning or anything, but I've found with all the info and resources on XDA, its better how to learn how to do something so that way one you can help out later in the future, or at least that's how I imagine this site is supposed to run.

Edit: I got error when compiling the launcher and trebuchet launcher doesn't have same texts in the launcher.xml files so I can't do same to trebuchet launcher.. :/
