Really nice, cheap eBay TPU case - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Got this on a whim, was really cheap with free shipping. Fits the phone super tight, has exposed buttons and its super glossy. Not that bad of a finger-print magnet as its blue. The actual color is a bit blue-er than the one pictured on ebay, but I can live with it.
Phone is pictured with white vinyl conversion sticker, btw.

I bought a similar one, it was $2.95. The first one I got was a little loose so I told them and they sent me a new one right away that fit perfectly snug. Love cheap TPU cases

Plastic Case Review

So I just got another new case.
I got it from eBay seller augustonline for $3.89 w/ free shipping.

This is similar to the mesh snap-on case that others have posted about. It's a single piece that snaps on to the back of the phone. The material is hard plastic but it has a bit of a rubberized feel which provides just a little grip.
The fit is perfect. And, unlike the mesh case, it does not have the awkward cutout for the TV antenna that the Korean cases have.
As others have pointed out with this type of case, it does not provide full protection for all sides. I was also concerned about this, but found that it wraps around the edges just enough to protect the face of the phone. So, if you place it face-down the phone doesn't touch. Also, the corners are protected but the top and bottom are exposed.
It's a solid color with no branding so if you really like the Galaxy S logo, you won't be able to see it with this case.
All in all, this is a nice case and if you like this type of case, I would definitely recommend it. It fits well, has a nice clean look to it, and is less than $5. I think this will be my daily driver for a while (or until some positive reviews of the SGP Slider case start coming in).
Sweet as I was wondering whether the fit would be good or not, so thats good news
Can't wait for my orange one to get here!
Cool good to know it fits perfectly i ordered a green one of these almost two weeks ago i should be receiving it any day now
The case isn't bad for $4 (or the $8 I paid from a US seller), but don't expect it to hold up for very long. The rubberized texture is wearing off after less than a week.

I was just thinking about updating this post when I saw your reply. I noticed this morning that the rubberized coating is coming off on the corners of the case. It's not very noticeable at the moment, but I imagine it will start to peel off everywhere in the not so distant future.
For me the case is temporary until SGP gets their stuff together, but I don't think I would recommend this case to anyone that is looking for long-term protection.
that looks pretty gnarly. I have the snap on two piece case from T-Mobile. With the chrome bezel and rubbery back. Once I get bored of it I'll have to try that one.

Love this case so far. Especially with my custom logo! =D
There is no player on the warriors with the number 89. That's just the number I like personally.
I don't think this can be compared to mesh case. The quality of the korean mesh case is awesome. That is why it is like 20 bucks.

Thin TPU that lets you use vol/power?

Hi,
I am looking for a recommendation for a thin TPU case (like mystic jeff sells) that offers good protection. Since I flash from time to time, I find i need to remove my current TPU to play around in anom recovery.
Is there a TPU case that will let me play with my buttons?
Thanks,
Rich
I have a $2.32 TPU case that I bought on eBay from a Hong Kong seller named easytocart. This case has a cut-out for the power button. The volume buttons are not cut out but are super easy to press - almost too easy. The only thing weird about this case is that it has a rectangle area on the back for a sticker or logo. This area is still covered with TPU material, but it doesn't look quite as nice. Mine came with a rectangle of red TPU with "TPU CASE" stamped into it that was stuck in this area. I removed it.
My brother has a different TPU case and he said he was probably going to order one like mine because the buttons were so much easier to press.
i have one of the epik ones from ebay
it's great, all the buttons work fine
The hybrid TPU cases make it feel like there isn't even a case in the way of the buttons.
I did the lil tape trick on my black/clear TPU case and i never have a problem with the buttons while in recovery or at all.
I ordered the OEM HTC designed TPU case from Daydeal and it is awesome. It has the power button cut out so it is easy to locate and push. The volume button is raised and has a dimple under it and it is SUPER easy to push. I own close to 5 TPU cases and this one is by far the best! Sure it costs more, but it is a very high quality case.

I purchased one made by Mybat from Amazon. Case is thick enough in the back to protect the camera lens. The buttons are easy to push. Seperate cutouts on the back. Fits good on the Evo. Nice feel to it.
HTC EVO 4G Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU) Flexi Skin Case - Transparent Smoke Argyle. Search for product B003Y7UHLI on Amazon
Here is one I have it on now and works great.. Good price and received in 2 days.

Luxmo DInc2 TPU Case Review

So I went out on a limb and bought the Luxmo HTC Incredible 2/ 6350 Mix Protector Case in black from Overstock.com
I knew I wanted a TPU case based on the reviews some of you already posted, and I really liked the look of this case with the mixed glossy and matte finish...so I pulled the trigger . Both finishes are really very clean, especially the matte part- it seems like its an extension of the original phone surface (and just as flexible as any other TPU). No issues with fit, the case is snug all around. All cutouts align appropriately, and the volume rocker and power buttons are molded which gives them the added stiffness so they aren't pressed accidentally. Finally, the grips on the side make it especially study in your hand.
Check out the pics (sorry I wasn't able to take photos of the case on the phone...my phone is my only camera at the moment). Hope this helps!
Wow, good looking case. Is it still easy to slip in and out of pockets?
Edit: oh well, just ordered one. Cheap too.

It fits very snug around the phone so its not much more bulk, and like other TPU cases it isn't clingy to your clothing like silicone is. So overall I'd say it's still relatively easy to take in an out of my pocket.
i ordered on ebay. still waiting for mine. these "s-line" tpu cases seem very popular. theres one for many other phones.
I loved mine when I had my thunderbolt so I had to get one for this phone too. I love the side grips on this case.

Wow, pretty good case, better than most tpu cases ive seen. You can actually use the buttons still without squeezing the life out of the phone. I haven't been a case guy in the past, but i think this converted me

i got mine today and again it did not disappoint. fits perfect. looks great. i had this same type of case on the evo 3d and iphone4 before too.
Just ordered mine today. I picked up two of these for $6 on ebay.
I have a TPU gloss that I've been using since I got my Dinc2 and love it. The matte looks even better.....I'm not real into the shiny look! Ordering now!

Best TPU Case Imo

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TPU-Cases-S...s=63&clkid=5450595014366325529#ht_2001wt_1139
i think this is the best tpu case i have ever gotten for any of my phones.
TPU cases usually cover the buttons and make it very difficult to press buttons, or may be slightly too big for the phone so its not a snug fit.
This case that i got for the phone fits it perfectly, no loose sides, its tight just like how a condom should be
PROS, buttons are cut out, and its matte, great feel, fits perfectly
CONS, 10 bucks for a tpu case?? >:[ being that usually they're $2-5!
buy it! im happy with the case check it out!
I second this; it's a nice case (I don't have any experience with other cases, though). I got it from Amazon.com for around $6.
I will also second that, great case, I also have the trident aegis which is great when I am at work, other wise I change to this case when I am at home.
yep...great case still one of my favorites
Agree! this case is amazing. I also have the D30 from T-mobile store. Both are very good. But the D30 offers more protection.
I have this case as well. I got it on amazon for $11
Fits very well, all buttons are easily accessible. I also bought an Xtremeguard screen protector (screen, back, and 4 sides) but with this case the back and sides are superfluous. Smarter shopping and you could probably get a screenprotector + this TPU case for about $12 and get great protection for your phone.
i agree, this is the best tpu case ive ever owned or used. its cut outs for the buttons make it feel like the case isnt even there and its super thin and fits great. i got mine for 11 on amazon but i got the smoked clear one. here is some pics if it helps anyone out. just make sure u get the Revision 2 one. because i guess the first cases they made blocked the mic at the bottom. u can see in my pics that mine isnt blocked because its the Revision 2 version which they fixed that issue

It's actually not slippery at all. There is a bit of tacky-ness to it from the TPU material.
Just got this last week from Amazon and it's amazing. Definitely the best one hands down.

"Frankensteined" a cheap / nice case for OnePlus 2

So, ended up with a few different cases via various places, including one I hadn't expected. I didn't really like any of 'em, for different reasons. Here were two, though, I did half-like:
The Diztronic slim black case. Has a nice design and soft rubbery feel to it, but almost too slick... as in might slip right out of my hand. I got this as a freebie when I bought a broken phone. But it goes for $10 on ebay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OnePlus-2-...313086?hash=item33db9516be:g:l-AAAOSwRbhaE5DT
Then this Hybrid Armor case.... which I have in a white (as in ugly) color. I paid 3 bucks something for it, so my fault. Cool kickstand shell. But the harder than necessary ribbing left me wishing for something a bit, well, more rubbery and soft. Hmm....
I took the outer shell kickstand off the second case. Would this work? Put it over the Diztronic case and - tight fit! But other than the sligtest lil' bulge at the top (barely noticeable) it looks as thought it came this way. See for yourself (the pic with the white in it is how the Hybrid Case looked before being Frankensteined). And hey... this might work with other slim cases. And again... for 3 bucks for the kickstand.
Alas the outer case with stand has proven too frail.... One of the corners snapped off. Friends who own that case said same happened to them.
