Man screw that. I'll never risk these low budget batteries in a $800 device. Maybe if it was from a notable company.

These batteries are a scam, if you remove the gold sticker you'll see the actually much lower capacity printed on them. They are worse than stock batteries by far.

Agreed, my bet is the gold is just a sticker used to lure customers in.

thanks

no way.

those are a bag of ****. no point wasting your money. they get so hot like after 10mins. dont bother

Mine is running very well. No heat issues. Worth the $11 it cost me. I get about 10% more battery life than with stock. I looked under gold wrapping and it is ranked at 2850 mAh.

Thanks!

If you are shopping around for batteries, you may as well go the whole hog:
4300 mah with Extra battery cover is available on alibaba. I wonder if thats a ticking timebomb for exploding batteries or not....

Sorry no pics as SIII is my only phone. It fits in stock battery cover. Im getting 3:45 of display time on ATT LTE. The battery does get warm but not so much that it is dangerous. Charging takes longer than stock as expected. I would recommended this battery. I dont really know what else to say im not a pro in batteries really but on stock battery i got 3 hours of display time.

That's depressing. I got 6 hours and forty minutes yesterday.
There's no way to fit more mah into the same size battery for so cheap. If there was don't you think Samsung would have done that?

Vibrant 4G battery-Launch tomorrow?

As you all know by now, the Tmobile Galaxy S 4G (Aka Vibrant 4G) is launching tomorrow (Wednesday 23rd) with a 1650mah battery which fits in our vibrants.
Has anyone managed to locate a seller for the batteries yet? Or backplates for that matter?
I was actually thinking that, i am buying a new battery
As soon as the batteries and battery covers start selling I am definitely getting them ASAP
Anyone seeing anything? I keep checking and I can't find any.
The Galaxy S 4G section is now LIVE! http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1065
anyone? i'm planning to buy this if this would work on our phones.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I really want the Vibrant 4g battery for mine. I just bought a 3000 Mah and it made my phone too bulky
I can confirm the Samsung S 4G battery is the exact same size as a Vibrants. My Vibrant took a spill and to make a long story short it was replaced with a Galaxy S 4G. The phone is almost identical to the Vibrant besides the Front facing camera and 4G. Back Cover is exactly the same, just a different design/color. Button placement and everything else looks identical. I plan on buying the same cover I had before.
I don't quite understand why everyone is so interested. Isn't the difference between a 1500 and 1650mAh battery quite negligible? That's only about a 10% increase in life.
10% can mean 2+ hours for the average user.

my girlfriend got the Galaxy S 4g yesterday and I talked her into giving me her silver backplate for my Vibrant! ha!.... fits perfectly and looks great....
she wouldnt let me switch the batteries though... dang! ;}
Be careful with the battery. I swapped batteries with my gf from her Fascinate to my Vibrant because I was low on power. It was fine until it came time to recharge the phone. Both phones would show a battery symbol crossed suggesting wrong battery. Don't know if the same thing will happen with the 4G battery, even though it's a perfect fit.
10 percent ain't ****. Stop playin yourselves and get an extended battery. The 3000 mah seidio battery is lovely for me. Since I don't wear skinny jeans, I don't worry about a little extra thickness.

Battery crossed symbol means battery is nearly dead haha...not that the battery doesn't fit.
This battery is the same as the Italian Giorgio Armani phone which launched a month ago. It's battery is also a 1650 and it works great on ANY galaxy S. All Galaxy S batteries are interchangable. Now, would someone post if they find a place to buy these babies from?

Best stock size battery

Exactly as the title suggests I'm looking for everyone's opinion on the best stock size battery for the Note. I've been using the Mugen battery but at times the bulk seems too much and I'm interested in trying something stock size that gets me at least a little better than stock battery performance.

it is too expensive? any cheap battery for extend battery life of galaxy Note
I use the "golden battery", the sticker on it says 3250 mAh.. and that power stays at the sticker. It is roughly as good or just a tiny bit better than stock battery.
I get 3 hours 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes less or more each day of screen time on weekdays with stock battery. Let's use this as a standard for me.
With gold battery I get 3 hours and 40 minutes with a variation of 30 minutes more or less.
So it doesn't last 30% more as the sticker suggests.. but meh it lasts as much or a little bit more so I am not bothered with a 15 doller battery I can carry in my wallet as a backup

Also, it seems to handle charge/discharge better, it doesn't get as hot as stock under load.

I was thinking about it, and it seems plausible that the best stock sized battery for this phone at this moment would be a 2700mah one. If you look at it, the Mugen 5400mah extended battery is just 2, 2700mah batteries linked together.
Until a revolution in batteries is made, I don't think we'll get a stock sized one with a better mileage .
different capacity with stock size battery
It's mean the concentration become higher...
just wondering.
you know the anker charger that comes with the bundle if you buy 2 anker 2700 batteries?
does it charge the stock battery as well?
im assuming it does cuz the batteries are the same size (right?)
just wanting to make sure.

I've tried aftermarket batteries of that small of difference, I personally believe samsung makes their stock batteries of higher quality than the 10$ dollar ankers or the likes therof. Therefore, I think its a wash as far as daily phone hours of usage. But I'm pretty confident the cheap aftermarkets won't last as long in the long run. I think the best option is just get a replacement battery, have it charging all day, use your phone to your hearts content, no extra bulk. Then at around 7 or 8 when its getting low if you had a big usage day, pop out the battery, put in the new one. We should be grateful as g3 users that we have this option eh.

Yea, I had an Anker battery for my EVO 3D and they're solid. Definitely want one with NFC though.
i am in the same boat but don't want to walk around with a brick with those 4000mah batteries. to me that defeats the purpose of this ultra thin phone. i keep an extra battery in car in case i need it.
i don't think you will find a decent capacity (say 2800-3000mah) battery without requiring a bulky extended back cover.. those that advertise this type of capacity are probably liars. i said it before, but if it were possible samsung would of increase capacity while keeping the same size.
sure you can get a 2200-2300mah battery that is the same size but it's pointless because the added time will only be like an additional 10-20 minutes compare to stock (that is of course if you even get the advertised capacity)..
battery technology needs improvement.. everyone is making better and better phones but battery technology is lacking and no on is investing money to improve them

I always use the supplied wall charger that comes with these so Idk, lots of the extended battery reviews on here are the same voltage & they seem to be doing pretty good.
It's not the charger which matters but the phone itself which charges the battery, it's aiming for 4.3V as that's what it thinks it should have as the stock battery is designed for that. Although I haven't heard a single case of these 4.2V batteries having problems with being charged with 4.3V, that last part can be changed in the kernel and the charger chip driver. I'm getting some knock-off cheap battery myself so I'll see how it goes. This particular one seems quite steep in price @ $30, with proven ones like the PolarCell 2400mAh going out for half the cost.
you won't see the affect right away from overcharging. I use to play with a lot of batteries from RC, overcharging something we use to do get slight edge and boost at start. but it does have long term damage to batteries, specially lithium based. some cheaper batteries even catch fire.

Li-ion batteries have an overcharge protection circuit built into the battery pack itself and should prevent this from happening. If everything is working as intended, it should be impossible for the phone to overcharge a battery. That's not to say the protection circuit couldn't fail itself.
And I too played with RC batteries and you really can't compare those batteries with these. Different types of battery with different methods of charging.
