hi all i have a htc one x that i managed to damage the digitizer within 24hrs of owning...ooopss.
ordered new one of ebay works great but i have managed to damage the microphone now...... god damn it...
im not sure if this is the microphone or the flex but looks like it comes as one piece.
ive searched ebay. and have spent hours looking online for a replacement.
all i do know is im not paying htc £150 to look/fix this after quoting £300 for replacement digitizer which cost 10% for me to do

i succedded to follow up the hardware manual to get it out of my xda.
and now i need a replacement screen .. anybody knows where can i find a cheap or used LCD replacement?

I live in Australia and wondered if anyone would be of help, I am trying to track down a xda atom housing as my one is scratched up and look quite poor.
i have looked on ebay and found a couple however they are quite pricey, i would have assume the prices would be fairly low as the atom has been out for some time now.
so if anyone knows where i can track a new housing out or even a old atom that died on someone but the housing is in perfect condition it would be great.

btw... it looks ouch indeed., though it still functions great, i don't want to be seen either with in such state tp2. good luck.
yesterday my tp2 fell down to the ground (asphalt). it still works perfect.

Hope u can find a housing for yours, mine fell 3 weeks after getting it.
Got it fixed by HTC (EuroTwice) and that was €230,57
and my damage was only the lcd part nothing to the base
so only 3 housing parts where replaced.
Thank god my insurance paid most of it and i paid 50 euros myself.
Any one know where in the UK I can get a replacement LCD screen on the cheap in the UK? I dropped my Defy when getting in the car and ran it over. DOH.... The outside of the phone doesnt have a single dent or scratch and the phone is still completely usable its just the LCD has cracked across the length of the screen.
Really? im the only person in the world to have a cracked lcd screen on the defy???? lol. has any one got a broken defy they wannaget rid of for partsmust have a working lcd of course lol
the cheapest way is to get one one ebay and replace it by yourself
I did try ebay there was only one american seller selling them and it was postage within usa only so it was no good as im in the uk.

that is a LCD Display Lens Panel or touch screen digitizer as it is also known, I dont need that as mine is still intact. What I need is the actual LCD panel/display. Thanks for trying tho.

nice find, thank you. but with shipping its gonna be over $100 dollars, i think i will just hold off till there are more available here in the uk so the price comes down a bit. hopefully lol.
so i contacted my local motorola repair center and they said a new screen will cost around £59 so got it booked in i thought it was quite a good price as to buy one of a internet shop if your lucky to find one selling the screens would work out closer to £100 with postage and then you gotta fit it yourelf.

So I scratched my screen, and one tried using Displex to get rid of it.
After many many minutes sent last night and tonight, I've given up hopes of Displex working, or of finding a way to get rid of the scratches.
So, I'm looking for a digitizer now. The cheapest ones I can find are over 30 dollars on eBay.
Know any other places that sell them at better prices?

Hey you should just goto your dealer or carrier from whom you purchased the phone and ask him to replace the digitizer i think its better to pay a little more than getting a cheap digitizer as it may just spoil your entire desire experience or if the scratches are bare minimum you could put a scratch guard on the screen and continue using it. i would recommend contacting HTC service center or your dealer if the scratches are really deep than purchasing of e-bay or something.
Or if it's insured just oops dropped it!! -- make sure accidental damage is covered by the insurance first lol
EDIT[] the ones from Ebay are sometimes for cheap chinese clones so better to go to official place if this is the route you are going to take or wait for someone to respond that knows a reputable ebay seller
