Stock Multi-DPI Phone Question - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

I honestly think this is the best place to ask this. The Q+A Thread is ridiculous!
Is there any chance of someone creating a multi-DPI Phone.apk?
I know there was one for GB ROMS.
I personally think this is the only thing letting stock ROMS down at the moment!

Check Zeta Classic rom and use it with any dialer from market. I am using ExDialer with Zeta Classic, works great at 192 DPI.

This one works with my phone on 160 dpi. Flash on cwm.

This question interests me too, but i can't find a solution yet.

Oops. I didn't realize that you stated stock rom. The zip is for aokp. I'm not really sure if it works for samsung roms.

Thinking of using Rocketdial
Although the ICS Theme costs.
Anyone used Rocketdial, or know of a decent 3rd party app for a dialer with ICS look?

You can try exDialer. It has an ics theme.

[REQ] LunarUi Theme Port for our S2

Hi there,
I installed the LunarUi theme on my friend's Nexus S which runs CM7 and I'm really impressed. This has to be one of the nicest themes I ever saw.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1243590
As I'm running the Exynos Rom on my handset and have no experience in themeing I wanted to ask if someone hast the time and is willing to port this awesome theme for our S2?!?
I'm sure many people would love to use this theme!!
Greets
Yeah I like the look of that!

That sure would be the easiest way but not everyone wants to flash an entirely different rom. I'm pretty happy with Samsung based Roms.
Our you could try:
google.com/m?q=xda+theme+porter&client=ms-opera-mobile-android&channel=new
So I tried some methods of theme porting but with that little talent I have I had no luck getting it to work.
Is there really nobody who cares about this theme? I mean the craze on CM is huge, even on MIUI people are porting the theme. Latest version 3.5 looks sick!
No one willing to try on creating an universal JKAY theme?
I am gonna give this a go for the lidroid rom.

I've used CM7 and it's nothing compared to some of the TW roms in here. I even tried Lunar, and it's great.
It would be nice if someone ported it to a TW rom. I know it can be done.

Amazing work! I just want the statusbar, that's my favourite! I can really live without the other CM7 features.
I did flash CM7 nightly 83 for SGS2 but it made my phone heat up too quickly and ate my battery with much gusto. I believe there are some suggested fixes for that but they require a bit too much reading and tinkering for me right now. Oddly the RC for my nookcolor worked perfectly; too bad LunarUI is not supported at that size.
Damn that's so sexy. You really make so many people happy with that theme (although it seems nobody cares about LunarUI, but I think you just have to love it!)

[Q] Mijjah's "Slim and Trim" but stock themed

I was wondering how difficult it would be to use Mijjah's "Slim and Trim" ROM but with a stock AOKP blue ICS theme? The ones in the theme section don't quite work that well for removing all the green that's been so expertly added in there ;P I'm guessing it would be easier to add Mijjah's mods to kbizzle's AOKP ROM but I'm not sure since I'm a noob. Any help would be appreciated and thanks to all the devs that make owning the E4GT even more fun :-D
Tiny bump
You should probably familiarize yourself with launchers and themes before flashing any ROMS.

If you e want three stock ics look, flash any other Ics rom. I don't understand people complaining about it not being stock colors when every other ROM is....
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA
Ah. I suppose I should have expected a little flaming since this is the xda forums ;P I guess I shall word my posts a little more eloquently! I do not believe there is anything wrong with his theme, he is very good. I am entitled to have my own favorite color and attempt to theme accordingly. The reason I am wanting Mijjah's base is because it is SO DARN FAST! He really did an amazing job. Now to actually learn something!
I attempted to change out framework-res.apk and sytemUI.apk from AOKP to "Slim and Trim" to no avail. I just copy/pasted them in their respected folders through a root explorer and then restarted. This didn't work well because I got many FC's. So, I was wondering if maybe transfering the base files (not sure what they're called, I know he's tweaked the build.prop and he has init stuff for the kernel...but I'm not sure what I should transfer) to the stock AOKP ROM if I could still have the speed of Mijjah plus the styling of the stock ROM. I'm not attempting to bash anybody, I'm just trying to learn how to theme and hopefully give back to the community someday! I just have to start somewhere
This is a big task you are wanting to do. So I am gonna watch this thread to see where this goes...
I know, very unhelpful I am, Oh well.
If you really want to install systemui and his framework-res its best to have those in the rom before flashing, meaning start fresh with those files in your AKOP rom of choice. That should work if your installing these files AKOP to AKOP based roms.
If you dont want to do that you could take an update.zip theme, apply those 2 files removing any other file in system/???. Then odin el26/29 cwn kernel.tar, apply theme and then power down, power up in DL mode and reinstall your kernel for AOKP.
And after that if you still have problems, pm me and Ill provide all the help you need man
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Ok! You da man! I appreciate your help. So, I've copied the framework files and the app files from AOKP to Mijjah's replacing the identicals and keeping what else Mijjah added (beats audio and other neat stuff) and now I'm going to flash gapps over top of the /apps and then do I re-zip it all and flash it via EL26?
1) Extracted AOKP and Slim/Trim
2) AOKP framework --copied/replaced matching--> Slim/Trim framework
3) AOKP apps + gapps --copied/replaced matching --> Slim/Trim apps
4) Re-zip?
Edit:
Ok, it turns out there's a lot more crap in the gapps than originally anticipated! Would it be acceptable to flash them in CWM like you would regularly in AOKP/CM9 based ROMs? Would it replace the old files with the new files?
Took me 6 hours but I did it. Success, thy name is Koserman! I also appreciate your guidance TeamERA. Without it, it would have taken me much longer ;P

What? Paid themes have been here since CM7. People do this in their free time and should have the right to ask for money for it if they so choose. I'll never understand what is wrong with people on this forum and giving someone two freaking dollars for their work. People like that are the reason they're no longer allowed to list paid themes in theme collection threads.

If you don't want to pay use stock or some generic free theme, I think a dollar or two isn't much to spend on a theme that took lots of hours or days to make.If you don't like it make your own theme genius ,that's right you can't an no ones profiting off anyone, theme developers don't make themes to make money there's easier ways to make money like getting a regular job.

I know this is for AOKP and CM9, but being that i have no posts, I can't ask this question in the thread (development section) of the stock ROM for ICS.
Question: Is there any themes out there for stock ROMS? I flashed a CM9 theme over my stock ROM (rooted of course), and it would not work. It boot looped over and over.
Cool man. Be a cheapskate and don't fork up a dollar. That is sad. Developers put so much time into making themes, if you don't like it or think its so easy make them for yourself or shut up and help devs

Make a nandroid then flash a ROM. Stock jellybean m5 is good or if you dont mind loosing touchwiz there's plenty of aosp ROMs. Keep in mind some ROMs are not completely stable.
Make sure your model number is correct.
Then flash a custom rom provided in the development section.
Currently using slimbean 4.1.1 and i love it
Need battery control? Install SetCPU and setup some profiles to automatically underclock CPU if screen is off, etc... helps a lot more than having an app turn on and off wifi, data, etc....
No need to flash another ROM if you're not comfortable in doing so... Additionally, there are other alternatives to SetCPU, so go ahead and search from the play store...
If I want jellybean and I have an i747 Rogers Samsung Galaxy 3 which one would be best? That is stable?I looked at CM10 but apparently it needs to be more stable. What about EUROSKANK one? Jellybro or Jellyblack? Are those for my model?

I found that website great to start as following the video tutorials make it really easy. Make sure you look at the AT&T sections and watch the videos or read instructions 2 or 3 times before you actually execute anything.

Everyone's phone is different and will react differently to the same ROM. I believe aokp, slimbean, baked black bean, and liquid jelly are the most stable right now.
Hello all! I too just rooted my S3 (at&t) and was looking into flashing some ROMs. But I came across 2 threads about backing up the IMEI. is this necessary? If it is, both methods look to be a little confusing to follow.

I want jelly bean too but coming from a galaxy Nexus I can tell you that none of the roms out there are worth it. That is if you wanna keep all the cool samsung features there are the Drew Garen roms that are okay at best. But if you don't mind losing all the cool samsungness. There's the usual suspects cm10, aokp and so on. What I did is
Flash wanam light on top of stock for added features, switched my extsd with the internal for more memorie and ported Google now on ICS because svoice reeks. Removed the bloatware. I'm good for now until Rogers rolls out its own version of Jb.

The entire Touchwiz framework, for one...
Then there's the camera app, which is by far superior to just about any other camera app, Smart Stay, all the cool gestures/moves ... those are all features that you won't find in any custom ROM.
Not saying those are all "must have" features, it all depends on you, but the fact remains that they are exclusive to Samsung based ROMs

Personally like I said before coming from the gnex. If you want the pure google experience there's plenty to choose from. But I love the new touchwiz features and I'm sticking with. The JB leaks aren't on point yet. Which is why I'll wait for rogers's rollout. Or until a good stable leak comes along.

[Theme][4.1.2][I9300] Red Envy [JKAY]

I love red themes. And was envious of different bits of other people's themes.
So anyway, having tried 4.3, I still prefer 4.1.2 for my JKay mods. So I made a zip of the bits I wanted.
So here's a flashable zip of what I'm using as per the screenshots.
NOTE: I am running a stock rom EMH1, I'm not even rooted (as Sky Go/Barclays Bank apps won't work otherwise.)

If I mucked anything up just shout & thanks to various people, some of whom I can't even remember now...
The icons are not part of the zip - they are a theme I use with nova launcher...
