[Q] Best sense rom for G2 - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the best sense 3.5 to 4.0 rom available for the g2? (your opinion)

questions like you..

virtuos was always in my top 3
but now i'm using quadrasende ICS rom

4.0 is better than 3.5 for this device, because it is the light version, therefore it requires less RAM, and less CPU power.

This is a very good rom however it has a bluetooth issue at the moment, hopefully it'll get fixed soon. If like me you can live without bluetooth the I highly recommended this rom.

yes I am talking about multitaking.....apk close when 3 or 4 apk r running in background. .......
Sense 3.5 had bad multitasking due to high resources needed for 3d rosie and else..
If you want good multitasking, you can use sense 2.1 rom or hybrid sense 2.1 + 3.0.
Or you can use sense 1.9 for better multitasking..

You can use RCMixTweaks under Settings (if your ROM has it installed) to change 3D effects to 2D to save resources for multitasking.

I would choose CM7 because of the relative speed vs tweak options in it, but that's me. Check the Desire Index thread for the list of AOSP to try.. it seems to be updated now.
In AOSP I would think CM7 as the bloated one because of the tweaks they have in it. Go with Oxygen or Redux2 or dGB for more barebones Android experience.

First you must have JB installed on your HOX
here it is,go to mrmad`s page XXX.mrmad.net/downloads .All credits to him.
and scrool down for jellybean addons for nexus and download addons package.
after that install from recovery and reboot. After the phones boots when start to optimize applications it hang but dont worry just reboot phone and you are ok .
What`s working:
Toluchwiz5.0 launcher JellyBean release
SGS3 Weather widget

What device may I ask are you porting the framework from? Or are you using a custom rom from xda? Because if I had to recommend a device to port from id say use the wildfire s... just take the stock rom or find a more updated rom from the forums... it could all stem from there...

Install an AOSP ROM. The bar at the bottom is a crucial part of Sense. You can't simply remove it.

But is there a way to close running apps ?
In android 4.1+ if you hold HOME you can kill every running app you want with a swipe..
That just removes recent apps from the list, im sure it does'nt kill them. Have a look in ur apps and see if theres an app called task manager, if so u can kill all apps there. Most sense roms have it.
EDIT: Just thought of this rom, Alex-V, he has a bliss mod version, so basically theres not that "bar" from the bottom Alex GingerBreadSense-
And theres BlissMod007 .. very good rom
That can't because it is a sense rom . Do you want sense or not ?

Try this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031467. Or other Mild Wild ROMs (they all are GB based).
