[Q] USB Port Not Working, Burnt Smell - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

My USB port on my Galaxy Nexus GSM (maguro) doesn't seem to work, whenever I plug in a USB cable, the cable heats up really quickly and a burnt smell emanates from the USB port. Looking inside the USB area, it looks a little charred. I cannot use my USB port any more.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Get a warranty claim, a week or so back, we had a guy with the same problem, seems that it's a defect in the USB connector of your phone, nothing to do with the USB cable.

[Q] USB leads and such

If I wanted to connect my phone via HDMI and plug a mouse and keyboard into it, how do I go about this?
I know I need a Micro USB to USB Female adaptor:

}
Then what? Would connecting to a USB hub, 4 port, say, and using a USB to HDMI adaptor work?

[Q] USB cable turning yellow

Hi, folks!
My original HTC USB cable is starting to become yellow on the phone side of the cable. It does not heat and functions normally.
I've never used it with chargers higher than 5V/1A.
Any idea what is causing this and should I be concerned?

E: It is NOT dirt
I think it's time for a new usb cable, I would not take the risk maybe harmful for your telephone

Help me make a cable

The images below show what was suppose to be a usb 3.0 to type-c otg adapter.
But this turned out to be faulty one.
So i took the outer shell apart but was stumped to find a chip inside.
Turns out all usb type-c pins need a chip to tell the cable to charge, transfer data or both.
Now i need anyone of your help to solder a cable on to the chip for the sole purpose of charging.
Thanks in advance.

Question What's a nice dock stand for transferring data to computer?

Looking for a dock for my desk where I can set the phone onto the USB C port on the dock and it can transfer data to my computer.
Any suggestions?
All I see are wireless docks.
I used this on my Oneplus 7 Pro, it also supports Warp Charge

Aliexpress link for dock
Aliexpress link for additional cable
It also protects the USB C port on phone.
