[Q] Wheres the setting for the Touchkey lights on custom ICS roms ? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I've been flashing a couple different roms for my S2 and in all these custom ICS roms there is no settings to enable, disable or change the duration of the Touchkey lights in any of the setting menus?
For instance the" Code Name Android" rom and the Touchkey lights are totally disabled ?!

For stock based ICS like Calk's 1.6, it's under settings -> Display.

Thanks for the post but under my display settings I only have this:
-Brightness
-Wallpaper-
-Auto-rotate screen
-Sleep
-Screen Candy
-Font Size
-Pulse notification light
I'm a little lost here

Must be the rom. I also have:
Touch key light duration
where you can set on/off or time to turn off. Mine is 1.5 sec default. Maybe they removed or relocated it in the rom you're currently using. I'd say ask in the rom thread but I see your post count is low.
What rom are you running, maybe someone will be able to answer that question here?

Settings, device options, sensors, touch key, enable keys backlight.

[Q] Auto Brightness in Extended Controls

I've seen references to it elsewhere on XDA and elsewhere, but cannot seem to find that setting on my Incredible.
Ideally, I would like to be able to toggle the brightness manually, but then also quickly switch it back to autobrightness when I want to.
Try add > Widget > Power control
The right one toggles through brightness

+1, although i don't believe it has control for 'auto' brightness, still have to do that manually

I just came back to say that. It just cycles through low to high
I believe cyanogen incorporates auto brightness into the power control.. unless it was some other ROM that put it on my phone
Assuming you have >v4.0 of Extended Controls, add a widget with the brightness toggle. Under the settings for brightness, use a Custom Brightness Type, and check Auto Brightness. Now you can toggle through various levels, including Auto.

Modify the brightness settings

I'm looking to mod the brightness settings that appear in either the power control widget or the notifications widget. Specifically I want to either add or edit one of the current ones so that I have a auto/90% (or some other % of my choosing). The closest one now is auto/dim/100%, but that's one more step than I need. Sometimes the room is just a touch too dark and the light sensor is causing my display to be too dim for whatever task I need. Anyone able to lend me a hand as to what I need to edit (if this is doable, which I see no reason why it shouldn't be)?
I honestly don't know of any way to get a truly "custom" level (like 90%) in the notification dropdown settings. I know with CM7 you can select what brightness levels it will toggle between. You can also control brightness by sliding left or right on the status bar. MIUI also has a brightness toggle in the dropdown menu, when its not on automatic there's a slider for screen brightness.

[Q] Keyboard open sensor problem (TrickDroid ROM)

Hi!
I have problem with TrickDroid rom on my Desire Z. After installing tweaks my screen is flipped into landscape, like after opening the keyboard. Also illumination of the keyboard is on. After opening it, illumination goes off and screen orientation depends on accelerometer. I think that rom misunderstands indicate of keyboard-open sensor.
If it helps, I think that I remember what options I have choosed in Tweaks:
APM andAuto Brightness
Native Extended Quick Settings with 1% stock battery
Dark HTC bootanimation (or no select here... I'm not sure...)
AOSP Lockscreen
More Locale
TrickDroid Tweaks App
No selection on next screens.
Can anyone help me fix that?

Low Brightness?

First of all, yes i turned autobrightness off and turned it manually up to the max, but i think that the brightnes goes down in some apps or the brightnes is just kinda low on the note 2? i am on this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259479
Brightness level on all Samsung phones is good... that ROM uses a lot of dark/black themes... so my guess is just the apps that are dark themed will appear lower in brightness.
However do check (in settings) your Screen mode.. if it is set to standard or Dynamic...check Brightness settings (in settings again, not toggles) to see if Auto is set and where the "line dot" is set... and further down check if you have "Auto adjust screen tone" checked.
But you have enough post counts to ask in that ROM thread for better answers. Good luck!
Yeah, I've also noticed low brightness on stock based 4.3 ROM.You may use some other apps to control it (never tried them).
However now I'm on miui and the brightness adapt seems much better.

How To Remove Brightness Slider from Notification Window

Like many others I really dislike all the wasted space on the stock Samsung notification panel. While I haven't found a way to remove the buttons, I did find a way to remove the brightness slider.
Download and install Lux Light - After enabling it, Lux Light will replace the system brightness slider in the notification panel with its own.
Enter the Lux Light settings and disable the persistent notification. - Under Advanced, uncheck Persistent notification.
Enjoy.

Thank you for this. Since this can control the screen temperature that makes another reason I don't need root.
