Second, hehe. >.<
Thanks fergie for another port!

Lol!
I'm having some issues uploading this, it's a big file (200+ MB) so I can't use mediafire.com and for some reason my goo.im acct keeps resetting the upload so I'm gunna look for other sites
Any ideas if goo.im doesn't work?

Yea that's my next option I just don't want my acct suspended because of the traffic lol. That really sucks because I use it for school and work
I'm uploading using goo.im again, it's weird because they don't give you progress bars or anything, it'll just randomly say "2% Uploaded, 4% uploaded etc
I'll just do dropbox and maybe someone can mirror it for me?

I'm using dropbox, could you, or somebody, mirror it after though?
And it's pretty easy. On your desktop all you do is open dropbox, navigate to the public folder and copy/paste the ROM there
When it's finished uploading, right click and select "Copy Public Link"

Good start. Look forward to testing later builds. A little to much ATT for my liking though!

That is another reason we have Titanium Backup. I so you can freeze or remove the bloat.
I like them to leave it in and if I don't like it I can remove it.. If they take it out then we have to go looking for the apk and ask people to post it... That sucks!
Plus what may be bloat to you may be useful to me.

[ROM][PORT][CM9][ICS]CM9(7/11/2012) & Andromadus Mimicry(9/4/2012) ROMs

My first thread, so bear with me. Also, if there are any bugs, there is no guarantee that I can fix it. I just started out. Sorry about that
I know there are already two CM9 threads, but I think all of you may enjoy this one
My first port that I did, and I am posting it to share with all of you guys! Why did I port this? Well, I am very picky about what I want in a ROM, so this is the best one I found in my eyes lol
I would like to give out big thanks to:
jerl92 - his ROM is used here. thanks to him for letting me port it! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492461
blackwing182 - used his ROM as a base, thank you for that
Synthetic.nightmare - for helping me get wifi working and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
Mr.Highway - for his port guide. you guys should use it and give him thanks
Others I would like to thank is all the other devs that helped me (you know who you are )
I will update this ROM when I have free time. I will TRY to do so on every beta release the dev makes, or as I see fit. If there aren't many good changes in CM but the dev released another beta, I may or may not update it. I will try to answer all the questions you have. Since i am only one person, i may be slow at answering them. also, there are many kind users that can help you out with your questions. dont be shy, ask away! but make sure you read the OP first before asking a question for it may answer your question
Now, onto the ROM
what works with this port:
-mainly everything (wifi, bluetooth, etc.)
-trackpad wake & scrolling works
-camera flash
-DSPManager works. playing next track doesn't blow up your ears with your awesome music
-i believe netflix works (you guys test that out. the more confirmation, the better )
-instagram, everyones favorite app /s, works
-fixed video recording. so it works now (only 480p, CIF, and QVGA. recording in 720p doesnt work and will cause the camera to not load and can only be fixed upon reboot). ffc recording does too, but only qvga or cif mode. *flash FFC fix v2
what doesn't work:
-one minor bug: when plugging in headphones, the ringer state changes to something you did not set. for example, you put it on vibrate, you put headphones in, it changes to ringer on (sound on). when pulling headphones out, ringer state can change as well. it happens with me, but you guys can test it out and see if it does that for you. could be just my headphones. hope that all made sense
-another minor bug: cpu settings won't stick. use setcpu or another cpu control app
-idk if this is a bug, but the audio in the video recording is not as loud as it should be (not too sure about that). probably the mic. then again, the speaker on our phones suck so that is a problem
-DO NOT use ICS reloaded with this ROM. causes error. thanks to headcreepz for finding out for me
-you tell me what else (again, there is no guarantee that I can fix it. I just started out)
Changes: http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/
Instructions:
1. wipe data, system, etc.
2. flash ROM
3. flash gapps (http://goo.im/gapps - use/download CM9 one if you do not already have it)
4. flash FFC fix v2
5. don't forget to download a cpu control app to control cpu speeds, governor, etc. (optional)
*for updates, you can flash over cm9 without data. however, if problem arises, full wipe first then report problem if its still there. flash gapps over update if problem arises, as well as the files mentioned above
**if you get bootloops, flash a different kernel
Optional:
1. flash a different kernel (link down below)
2. flash wificalling rilfix zip. DO NOT flash the wificalling one. dialing a number and calling it knocks out signal
3. ICS audio libs for CM9 MT4G ports.zip will allow you to hear the other person in a video chat, like Google+

[ROM][PORT][ICS][CM9 based]Andromadus Mimicry
another ROM release on this post. its CM9 based one called Andromadus Mimicry. and this one has aroma installer with some great options
first off, thanks to blk_jack for the ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1714187
also thanks to:
-blackwing182 for his ROM, used as a base
-Mr.Highway for his porting guide
-synthetic.nightmare for helping me with almost everything and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
-the rest of the devs who answered my questions
now onto the ROM:
what works:
-the main things
what doesnt work:
-minor bug: cpu settings won't stick. use setcpu or another cpu control app
-idk if this is a bug, but the audio in the video recording is not as loud as it should be (not too sure about that). probably the mic. then again, the speaker on our phones suck so that is a problem
-you tell me
Some info:
blk_jack said:
A quick note on this. It's not that it's a bug, it's just that if you select the Virtuous OC Daemon package to be installed, it takes over controlling your governor & CPU frequencies. So if you set it to a specific freq/governor in the menu yourself manually, it'll reset as soon as you turn the screen on/off (which activates the OC Daemon). If you want to set it yourself, just don't install the Virtuous OC Daemon OR install an app that can control the daemon's settings (there are a bunch).
Hope that helps

Updated to Latest Google Source Code Changes
I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM, EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to produce my own work of art.
Letter from Developer:
I just want to start off, by thanking all of the users who have been following and working with FactoryROM since it's recent release. As stated above, this is my first public AOSP ROM, built strictly from source and it has been quite an experience. Needless to say,
working by myself on this project was taking all of my free time, plus it started cutting into my work & family schedule (I have 3 boys ages 1 ,2 and 4). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining by any means. I love this hobby, but I have to draw a line somewhere ( I have a hard time doing that sometimes). In order to continue to do what I do best, I decided to join Team Sourcery. If you have been in the dark, Team Sourcery develops a ROM called JBSourcery. JBSourcery has been built from the ground up and offers by far, more customization options than any ROM on the forums. It is going to be my job to create a more fluid User Interface among other things. I ask that you all give Sourcery a shot.. whether you have used Sourcery in the past or not, you are going to be in for a treat in the future releases. So whats happening with FactoryROM? I will continue to update the source of FactoryROM from Google and implement any changes that may occur up stream. I will try and post a weekly update as promised. I will not be adding any more custom features from now on. I hope everyone understands my situation, and I look forward to serving you with Team Sourcery.

This is JUST THE START of a project that I have been working on. Basically I have a
very stable base with a great set of options to customize the phone to your personal
preference. I want to thank all of the hard working teams such as AOKP, CM,
EOS, Codename, and all of their dedicated members for making this ROM possible. Most
of the Android development I have done in the past has consisted of device ports and this
is my first real go at a AOSP source based ROM. I take NO CREDIT for any of the
functionality which is included in the ROM. I simply merged the existing source code to
produce a work of art. The next step for FactoryROM is to include some of my own
settings and options, but first things first...

How is everything running for you? I don't have a Nexus S to test the ROM on, so I don't know how it runs without feedback from the users...
I might have to give this a whirl. Looks pretty damn clean, and I am looking for something other than just CM10. It has been a while since I flashed....
Screw it. Downloading now.

I will have to look into this issue.. I haven't heard any other complaints and it seems like some of the issues are device specific, where one person will have no issues and another person will.

Usually with miui, no.. unless someone builds a kernel specifically for it. Look in the miui.us thread, bigdogpooh edited a kernel to be used for miui. He might have posted it in the att forum.. I can't remember it was a pretty long time ago

The main idea behind SuperNexus is to provide Vanilla Android experience, just like on Google's Nexus devices, to non-nexus devices. SuperNexus is entirely built from Google's AOSP Source. A lot of improvements and optimizations have been done to the Google's Source Code to have the best possible Vanilla Android Experience. Big thanks to TeamHacksung (Donate To Them) as I'm using their Device Tree and SoC related patches in my SuperNexus ROM. Thanks to CyanogenMod Team (CM) as many features are cherry-picked from their source code.

I'm really excited to try this out. My phone before this was an Evo 4g and I used nothing but stock gingerbread on it. Best battery life/snappiness I could find. I've been looking for something like this since I got my s3. If I wasn't on vacation I'd be flashing now.
Yes!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this!!
Sorry, I am a huge huge huge fan of stock android, but as you may know springs only stock android was the galaxy nexus...
It was scary how excited I was to see this....

Yep... It does it with every music player... Even Apollo. The music won't start and it will just freeze up.

I can confirm that this is awesome and I'm having trouble with music not wanting to play also. I'll try to get a logcat. Every thing else is awesome!
Edit: This first logcat is before starting the Google Music player. There are a few errors.
This second logcat is after activating the Google Music player.
I hope this is helpful.
