Wiki Vandalism

Hi All,
There has recently been a "session" of vandalism on the wiki, here is a short guide on what you can do to help:
1. Tell someone who cares
a.Mention on my talk page on the wiki, or contact a wiki admin (I'm the only one whose really active at the moment.)
b.Reply to this thread and post the details (I am subscribed to it) but if I'm unavailable then you can click the Report Post button (
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
) to notify all forum moderators / administrators immediately to the problem.
2. It's a wiki, you can help out too
By clicking on Recent Changes in the wiki you can see all the changes that have occured over the past few days.
Click on Diff next to the Edit that caused the vandalism.
Ensure the changes you want to revert are shown in the diff and that no valid information will be lost.
If so, click on Undo (found above the right hand pane of the "diff" view).
Again, confirm the Undo will not remove anything bad.
Click save page.
If a page needs deleting, put a Delete Tag on it.
Any problems please feel free to ask me, here, via PM or on the wiki.
Thanks
Dave
Thanks Dave. I've encountered such "vandalism" on this page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Developing a graphics driver for Windows Mobile
As you can see from the history, a user called "ramair" completely erased the contents of the page, on November 3rd, 2009.
I've restored the page to it's original glory.
Thanks for the tip.
I cannot see any malicious intent in the user doing this, so I think it's best to let it slide. Accidents can happen, I know someone binned the HomePage the other day by mistake .

Wiki's are meant for everyone, anyone can help, even if it's just changing a spelling or fixing a link. And just as anyone can break then, anyone can fix them.

Wasn't sure whether or not to just delete the page (I have no idea who, or what, Monban is) so I thought I would post it here. Linky

Panel subforum @ xperiasub?

Hi all,
why there is no panel below Developers forum for XPERIA?
it givs a romdevlopment forum aplications and so on....
but the best and i think most wanted thema is for example:
- a how to make panels
- new panels
f.e. touchflow as a panel that would be very sexy.... the xperia is like on macbook many desktops, there is so much space we can fill with nice and usefull panels....
furthermore, there are not enough of them....
greez neow
Touchflo already exists as a panel... Please stop posting redundant threads that clog the forum. Thank you.
if its superfluous post the links by answering plz..
here are 4 threads wit taskbar + icons...... -.- all same and a panel dev. thread is superfluous?
or I misunderstand you?

Woah now, gtrab does a lot on here, with help and things like this. This subforum just opened up and he jumped on it. Head back to the main forum and you can find info on panels. It will migrate here eventually I assume, just be patient.

Either that, or you just do a nice little search on your own.
Those four threads are not the same. Only three of them are Taskbars, of which two are Gtrabs. Goodness knows that you are not implying that either I, or Gtrab are posting redundant threads. Otherwise I'd be feeling quite offended by said implication.
Now, I also think you misunderstand me yes. I'm not saying that panels should not be made, nor that they shouldn't be in this section. I'm just telling you right there, that the thing you long for so, already exists. What made me post so is the fact that within 3 minutes you felt like posting the same thing in first a post, and then your own thread. Do you not consider such practice redundant now...?

my thread should be a suggestion and a question and post in their thread raised an idea what if they would exestieren (which until then I still did not know that this has already happened) I would be very happy.
apologize if I am wrong words, so it was misunderstood.

Panel subforum isn't really necessary - there is too few development there. Just put [PANEL] in the topic so searching for specific panel threads is easier ...

Hi,
Did you show the last image?
You must be blind or the pain is too much?
Regards, ansar.
Please moderator remove this thread.
It is SPAM! with stupid System Information on last picture.
Nothing to download and not related to WP7 at all.
Hi,
Moderators remove the thread.
This is my last post to the thread, too many chicken around.
Regards, ansar.
and please Banned this user - ansar.ath.gr as well.
Hi,
Last exception to reply.
Moderators you can ban me anytime.
But none can ban my endless, sleepless nights to development.
By the way, please be informed all, for historical reasons, with the following:
1. The original thread started with the images showing also a part of my work to the road to WP7.
2 . Then i added some posts (reserved) for future reporting on my work to WP7.
What at the hell is all this?
Regards, ansar.

Dear can u plz say what is last pic? windows mobile 7 ? ce 7?
I have concluded that this is not development at all. . .Please, if you have something to contribute please post something that actually relates to the subject. IE, WP7, not just some screen shots with the system information changed.
Any further infractions will result in a ban.

Which quickreply do you mean? You mentioned three ways for accessing XDA so I am not sure which is the problem. Does normal reply work?
A little different but Quick Reply from this thread or any thread stopped working for me around Monday 5/16/16 on my Nexus6p and my PC on the XDA website from my browsers. Also, I can't "Click to Expand" who thanks the post? Furthermore, if I hit MARK FORUM READ it gives a vbulletin message "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid." Also, I can not attach a picture so the issues list grows? I have been accessing the site the same way without issues for years till Monday 5/16/16. Not sure what's going on and note I always use the 2013 beta theme. thanks
Update: turning off "Remember form data" in the browser resolved all above issues!

Help,Chrome can not translate the page

hello guys, from a few days and only on this forum on my PC with Windows7 and Chrome browser no longer translates in the pages of XDA gives me a message "Chrome impossible to translate the page", I made several attempts: deleted the cache of Chrome, scanned with antivirus, uninstalled and reinstalled the browser but the problem remains. How can I solve? I point out that on my smartphone Chrome automatically translates the pages of XDA into Italian. Thanks to those who can give me advice

I can only provide you with what I know but, unfortunately, it's very limited regarding the language specific settings.
The following is an XDA article that may be helpful for you.
https://www.xda-developers.com/chrome-android-language-settings-multilingual/
The following is an XDA FAQ...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile
... and though, it does point out where the language settings should be within the following area of the XDA CP...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/profile.php?do=editoptions
... I, personally, can't locate it where the FAQ states where it should be.
Maybe @MikeChannon can provide you with some guidance regarding this much better than myself.
I do know that sometimes changes are made and some areas, like the FAQ, that may need to be changed accordingly, are accidentally overlooked and it takes a member like yourself to point this out.
I wish you the best of luck!

UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my Enigma Machine {aenigma = Latin for "Riddle"}.

Me translation also does not work (to Czech). Maybe Google is blocking it. After all, these sites are theoretically against the domination of google on android.
