guys im having problem with my new 8 gb card. i was already using 2 gb and it worked fine,
But when i upgraded it slowed my GALAXY Y and also i cant create any folder from phone Cant even install any downloaded APK's in memory card-it says 'parse error'

You must have bought a bad sdcard. Scan it in an antivirus. I don't think it's got to do anything with the phone

u have buy an bad fake,in germany we have many shops where u can buy cards like this.it shows class6 or class10 from a good manufacturer but its only class2 and
a poor forgery, but it looks original,try to use minitool delete all partions an formatting this card completely new than installing sdtools and test it on your phone to see what speed the card have,maybe its realy slow and you have the problem always,then your card is fake or broken so bring it back to shop.
try these app to test your cardspeed
try IT MAY it WORK foR U
FIRSTLY try to reinsert SD card and check in settings>applications>then check whether if u have ticked allow to install applications from unknown sources:victory:

I have been having this problem ever since I got this phone and I occours with every Rom I have tried (4 or 5).
I insert my microsd car, update library and all is fine....but after 2 or 3 times of use...I go to update again (cause it dosent apear anymore) and files just dont get added!
I format the card, and once again it starts working and goes crazy after 2 or 3 tines after I use it.
Do you think its the phone? maybe the memory card?
Please help!

yes sir do what he said to do, delete [ msmetadata ] and also their are some SD Cards that don't work with media player because i got a 1gig kingston and it didn't work with media player so i got a 2gig crucial and it works great even without that msmetadata deleted.

Guys I just connected USB Storage storage on my PC but after i put a video via Kies , After i disconnect USB Storage my applications on SD Card like Panda Run,Instagram,Hambo,Andro Zip,Titanium Backup PRO Disappeared ?!?!?!?! . But i can view the files of my SD Card in "My Files" Application bloatware that comes with my phone . But why all of my applications on SD Card Disappeared , I Tried Formatting My SD Card using my phone but still no luck. Please help me guys , I Tried Downloading Instagram again on Play Store but it give me an error "923" Any Help Guys . Im Using Doky's DXKK4 Stock ROM that he provided for me, I Want to factory Reset if it will resolve the problem but im scared to brick my phone(Because i do not love to mess with this kind of problems) because my phone is still Rooted and I think theres no way for unrooting , I'll try unrooting in recovery mode . woah woah.. slow down..
Restarting or remounting the SD card should have done the trick..
So u formatted the sdcard(and lost the apps/backups??) and reset the phone, and unrooted.. so its back to the new state..
Erm.. if u dont have the backups just start over and forget about it..

I think Kies has started the problem or the slowness of my phone , Im not sure what error caused this one , Anyways . Thanks for advice . Since im going to buy Galaxy S WiFi 5.0 thats costs 11,400(Philippine Peso)too much pricey for me but im still going to go with that "Mini Tablet" and some says that it doesn't comes with any SD Card so if i ever got my first "Mini Tablet" then i'll continue to use my 2GB there )

I am facing strange issue................the sdcard unmounts and mounts by itself.........................
tried formating the sdcard via pc....................all settings to default (allocation size and all)............but still having the issue and also formated the phone But still having the issue .......................its really annoying please help or suggest
apparently, note2 and sandisk dont get along well. i lost my 32gb class 10 card because my note fried it, and virgin mega-crap refused to return it
its pretty common so i guess you should replace it for a transcend or samsung one

My Micro SD Card brand Kingson 8GB Class 4 always ramdomly unmount and then remount on it own when screen in off. This is very annoying because my launcher will crash because I save some app on my sd card. I have formated it and the result still same.

EDIT >> after that no unmountings or any problem, I think our note 2 really likes to have samsung sdcards in its p u s s y rather than any other co.

I have a similar situation. 64Gb Sandisk Ultra card unmounts while formatting. Cannot write files to the card. Reading is perfectly working. Tried formatting in pc. Not getting formatted. Tried several methods, like through dos etc. Still no change.
try formatting in camera or video recorder, it should format it wothout hesitation

I'm using aLenovo A7000 running on ressurection remix V5.5.9 in which i don't have the option to unmount my sd card.Please suggest me a way to do it and also while transferring files from my pc on my phone...i switched my phone from a mass storage device to the'charging only'option and after that my phone doesn't get recognised at all by my pc as a usb mass storage device.... And i can't even find those options anywhere in the settings and usb debugging also isn't working.Pls help me ASAP!
My 16gb SD card also does this. Before it started though, all of my music files on it became damaged, but would still play partially, then end prematurely. I think this may just be cheap ass SD manufacturing. I say just boycott SD and get the Samsung card.
Solution / Fix:
Install Wake Lock PowerManager on google play. Enable Partial_Wake_Lock then viola! No more unmounted / eject problems. The problem is everytime your mobile is in sleep mode, the unmounting error occurs.
Also install SD Card Monitor to check the counter of mounted/unmounted/ejected sdcard.
Hope this helps.

Hi All
i have just purchased a 64gb microSDXC memory card driect from Amazon, to replace my 32gb card that was full, here is my problem, i have copied the contents of my old card onto my pc, put the new card into the phone and formatted it. then took it out and placed it into the pc, copied the files from the pc to the phone.
But when i put the new card in the phone and power it up, the phone starts up then i get the symbol of the sd card in the top left saying its checking it for errors, then the phone freezes up, loads of messages come up about things stopped working like settings, internet & other apps.
the phone then goes into a kind of reboot and then comes back on but then freezes again!
i have put the card into the pc and run check disk but no errors were found?
Please can someone help me with this, otherwise i wasted my money.
I am rooted and also running directory bind.

Format once on PC choosing ExFAT option.. check if it fixes the problem..
Thanks I'll try in a bit, will report back, otherwise I'm going to ring Sandisk to see what they have to say, I've checked on their site and it says the card is compatible with the note 2

try cleaning the card's connection pins with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab if that doesn't work how old is the card and do you have an other one to determine if it is card related or device related

What cluster size? Maybe the G3 is picky with that. I believe 32KB is the default.

When formatting in Windows, it will ask you the cluster size. But now that I think of it, if the phone won't even try to format the card, it likely isn't detecting that there's something in the slot at all. If you bought it from a carrier, I'd bring it in and have them look at it with another card and give you a new phone if it's the slot.
Have you tried formatting it inside the phone?

I have the exact same problem. Using a SanDisk 32GB ultra microSD card. When I insert it, it says SD Card inserted. But when I go to storage, it does not pick it up. Mount SD card and Erase SD Card are both greyed out.

try using ntfs format and do NOT use quick format in windows also clustersize as mentioned is best at 32 and were your cards storebought or ... and was the package sealed

if you have a 2nd sdcard try that one if that doesn't work bring yoour phone in for repairs if you don't have a 2nd card be creative and ask one of your m8es if you can borrow his one for a second

Maybe I'm wrong but need unlock rule for external sd card in androud system (Google add him in android 4.4).
There is a "fixsd" in the Google play market.
All is good now. Downloaded SD Formatter for Mac. Reformatted it, and it reads now.

If you put it back in your gs3 and nothing is there or you can't mount it you lost everything... That's what happened to me... I had to use a microSD recovery to recover my card... It was a *****... Hope this helps, good luck...
