Yesterday I tried to reflash my Magician. No success .
I think smth was fatal on reflashing of extended ROM part.
1. I can swith on the phone only after battery removing (hard reset performing). Everything is OK.
2. BUT - I can't do soft reset. I get dark sreen with "serial..." sign If I want to switch phone back again I have to do #1
3. There is no Ext ROM (even if I try to run loadvdisk.exe program) at all!
4. When I try to reflash from working phone (I want to get back to my previous ROM), at first everything is OK (fist checking of device is passed). Program detects current ROM versions and suggest to upgrade to another). But when I press "upgrade" button it begin to check device information again and freeze for several minutes. Then it report connection error 101
5. If I try to reflash from dark screen with "serial" sign - I get error 201: get device data error
6. I tried also SD card to reflash. I use English T-mobile ROM and ntrw.exe. SD card looked like unformatted after the procedure. I press camera and power button and reset - but nothing happenned .
7. I tried to use XDAtools. I can make backup of current ROM, but what can I do with it?
It is strange - phone is working, but I can't do soft reset and can't reflash

Do a search on this forum.
The answer being posted before . Your device could be classified as "half breed" now :wink: The bootloader is actually awaiting for you to flash, but somehow due to connectivitiy issue (one of that could due to flashing using laptop / USB hub). Just try reboot and.. refer to other thread on this forum.

I did not find possibilities to fix it without solder. Tried with Webpanel.ru and portalux.ru. Thanks to tupisdin - now my device is working again

Я не нашла возможности починить аппарат без паяльника. Пробовала и сама (предварительно перечитав весь это форум), и отдавала в webpanel.ru и portalux.ru
Единственный, кто реально смог помочь - это как раз tupisdin . Хотя, как я поняла, у него тоже не с полпинка получилось. Но ваш девайс проще будет - на моем уже процедуру отработали.
Гарантия - ну да, теперь гарантии никакой . Но что лучше - неработающий аппарат с полуживой гарантией (потому что он был перепрошит "чужой" прошивкой, собственно поэтому и подох), или полностью работоспособный без гарантии ?

The updated "contacts" program does not cause conflicts with Intellidialer. I removed handling of down arrow in main "phone" window and fixed processing of "hangup" button.

И сразу скажу. Русского T9 ака IntelliPad я сделать не могу. Остается ждать пока корейцы сделают его поддержку.

Also with help of mamaich i add a english letters too. This is for people who have contacts with english letters too and who do not remember layout of english letters (like me )
English letters is placed below buttons (it is no room to place it above buttons ).
Just download this archive with dlr.gif, unzip, and place it to \Windows\ , overwritting existing file. After this make a Soft Reset to apply changes!

Насчет русификатора - понятно. Есть ли какие-нибудь отличия в случае, если установлен штатный T-Mobile Ext-ROM? Или все должно работать в этом случае тоже?

One of the IntelliDialer's DLLs (don't remember its name) has a table of unicode strings that represent each dialer button. You have to patch this table inside DLL, and be careful when adding new symbols to this table - don't overwrite other data. I had to relocate the table to the free space in file to add extra russian symbols. IDA and other reverse engeneering tools would be helpful here.

tapres contains some pictures, maybe pressed and released buttons. I don't remember. You may try to remove it from archive and look what will happen
german chars supported now!
Good news: The attached intellidialer.dll is able to handle 'umlaute' (ÄÖÜäöüß) which might be useful to handle german contact entries. It works as you are used to: for 'ü' press 'u' and so on.
Also the space character ' ' and '+' is supported now. This means you can search for e.g. 'th, San' by tapping 8411726.

To be exact, it is the intellidialer.dll which has to be tuned (arround the lines C480 and E0A0). A hex-editor might be helpful
How to install: Extract the attached ZIP file and replace the existing intellidialer.dll (which can be find within your PPC/Windows directory) by the new one: Rename the existing file, copy the new intellidialer.dll into the directory, perform a soft reset and finaly delete the old file! That's it! Have fun!

Installation steps :
First you need to update modem & bootloader
* You must flash this FIX with ODIN (v3.04) from PDA button
About FIX
Latest KNOX Bootloader INCLUDED .Your Knox will be triggered.
No way to downgrade to official 4.3!!!
Reboot in download mode
In ODIN uncheck Autoreboot option
- Select FIX
- Flash it
- When Flashing complete , remove USB cable and hold the combination for Download Mode until phone turn off.
- Reboot in Download Mode again with combination
- Flash again with unchecked Autoreboot option
- Once completed, restart the phone
If everything is completed successfully after going into Settings / More / Device , under " Baseband Version" must be I9505XXUFNB8.
If not ,do again whole procedure.

INSTRUCTIONS
Before all manipulations, do not forget to make Backup! Before flashing you must make backup using the built-in MIUI Backup app (Settings - More - Backup).
How to install Masik MIUI with any firmware and any version of the OS:
1. Before flashing you must make backup using the built-in MIUI Backup app (Settings - More - Backup)
2. To install the firmware needed an unlocked bootloader
3. Download the firmware file from the repository (the file is called "Masik™ X Stable.zip" where X is the current name of the current build)
4. Copy the "Masik™ X Stable.zip" in the device memory or on a USB OTG drive (depends on how you prefer to install the ROM)
5. If TWRP is already installed, then enter the engineering menu TWRP (klavishi held VOLUME UP + POWER) and go to item #8.
6. Download the TWRP installer from the repository, the file is called "TWRP for PC.zip" and unpack the archive to any convenient place
7. Connect the device in Bootloader mode (buttons held POWER + VOLUME DOWN until the logo appears)
8. Run the file "Install.bat" from folder with extracted "TWRP for PC.zip", TWRP will be installed and the device will automatically go into the engineering menu
9. If TWRP does not work, with the device off simultaneously press the buttons VOLUME UP + POWER and hold until the log in TWRP
10. Go to WIPE - Advanced Wipe and mark ART/Dalvik, Cache - move the slider (apps, settings and internal memory will not be affected)
11. Go to BACKUP and note DATA - pitch slider (will back up all settings and apps in the folder TWRP to be safe, copy it to the PC)
12. Go to WIPE and slide the slider to Factory Reset, then click Advanced Wipe and mark ART/Dalvik, Cache, Data, System, slide the slider
13. Go to INSTALL - choose the firmware file, it will start Aroma Installer, description in Russian language-selectable modifications in its sole discretion

Hi. Masik ROM based on stable build only. Titanum works great. Install SU and some app that can made linux permissive, then install titanum ang have fun
Quick charge supportet, but QC simboi in UI not fixed yet.
