Nice going man, those that don't know will appreciate this.
And for tether, just load up wireless tether. <3

Can't wait until we get some ROMs like Omega's.... stock but less bloatware, increased performance and the camera hack which I really like. I got my phone today and already rooted it haha. BTW great job with the videos and the change shortcut lockscreen video I was looking for it for hours and couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for the thread, already can tell some useful stuff shall be linked here.

Still waiting for my 32GB pebble blue

Qbking77 you need to add galaxy s 3 to your signature!!!! Lol thanks

Great job qbking

You're the man. Just no more loud ass videos in a freakin' wind storm, even if they are at the beach.

There is some timing involved. When you hold the button combo, the screen will come up with some blue text in the top left corner. At that point, let go, otherwise you will boot normal. Let go at the right time and you get recovery.

If I owned the phone I would make a deodexed rom and a debloated rom... anyone up for testing can pm me their gtalk
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

Something tells me most devs who ordered this phone opted for the 32 gb. That plus 50 dropbox storage is plenty.
Being said that's when most custom Rom work will start.

Camera Capture Volume- REQUEST

i'll donate a fistful of dollars for just a simple hack or app to activate the Volume rocker as camera capture on sprint GS3 710. i'm new to rooting, installed CM10 ( i don;t have a need to root except to get jellybean, or the volume rocker to activate image capture), but the camera on the most recent nightly CM10 build doesnt have settings at all
i'm using CWM loaded via odin, if that helps.
if something already exists out there that is NOT HX camera mod 1.45, point me to it PLEASE no offense to HX, it just won;t install via CWM and i'm not crafty enough to learn a new root method tonight.
thanks ya'll

Curious

What do you think will be the next update for the GNII to improve it to be more like a tablet? Any ideas?
Swyped by Me & My GNII
I was wondering the same thing, but to be totally honest with you, it's already like too perfect. I really don't know anything else that can be done to it to make it any better except maybe, being able to use the voice feature on it without being connected to the Internet? Just my 2 cents.

Being able to designate which apps are by default started in full-phone or full-tablet UI mode would be great.

I really doubt they will enable tablet mode, they have tablets for that. That and for most people the screen is still to small from the tablet UI. heck even the Nexus 7 runs the same UI as the Note 2 does

I don't know, I think the whole phablet thing had many hesitant about this phone. I sincerely hope you're right though. I love CM10, PA, and other similar ROMS but they take so much time to get fully functional. I just hope there is Dev out there who will jump in and take it on for our Sprint variant.
the note II is anything but perfect. I have a lot of "gripes" with it.
first 320dpi. seriously? is that a joke I could not root it fast enough to get it going at 240dpi. Ahhh so much better
burst mode is borked. the huge delay built into the implimentation on the Note II renders is useless. as a temp fix use best shot its instant but only 8 shots.
on my S3 I can assign my favorite upload method (imgur for pictures youtube for video) as defaults. just tap the imgur or youtube icon and its going
this is GONE in the NOTE II I have to tap share and scroll to my selections EVERY TIME. very annoying once you got used to the S3 way.
toggles are gone. so I can't turn off mobile data etc.. on the Note II easily from the pull down like I can on the S3.

[Q] what does the swagger option do in the ktoonz ROM for the at&t S3?

This is a noob question but what does the swagger option do in this ROM from the pull down menu, now I know my way around this ROM but I'm not entirely sure what the swagger option does?

It doesn't really do anything it's just a little Easter egg or something.
It says in the FAQ, that it serves no purpose. It is also designed to not turn off. Why would you want to get rid of your swagger?

[FIX/MOD] Capacitive key ghosting. All TW JB Builds

Even though there is a tutorial that has been posted on this before, it is somewhat old and buried.
THIS DOES WORK ON ALL BUILDS OF TW BASED JELLYBEAN
You will need to do a few things before we start.
1. Go HERE and download the latest version of LMT Launcher. It would do you justice to also read that thread to understand the installation and setup process for the Pie Controls. Do all of that and then move on to step 2.
2. Grab this file and place it on either your external or internal SD card.
3. On your device, use any root filemanager of your choice (i.e. ES File Explorer, Root File Explorer, etc.) Find the Generic.kl file I included and copy it. Navigate to system/usr/keylayout and change the file called "Generic.kl" to "Generic.kl.bak" (DO NOT DELETE IT) then paste the Generic.kl file that you copied.
4. Go back to home and then go to Settings/Display/Touch Key Light Duration and select Always off.
5.Reboot your device and enjoy.
Credits go to DEF3NDER: If you want navbar softkeys instead of pie.

All went great but I can't find the link for navbar/soft keys that DEF3NDER references that Mattix724 put together. The pie control is really cool aesthetically, but I think I would prefer keys displayed all the time. Any idea where I can find them? Guide worked perfectly btw. Thanks again.

Awesome DEF3NDER. Just got a PM from Mattix724 this morning with this as well. I'll give it a go and let you know how it works out.
Edit-works great. And I took a screenshot with the power and vol down button as well. Question. When I'm on xda app, a menu button appears. Is there anyway to have that on all the time? Basically a virtual set of the cap keys, up, all the time? Thanks for this, very cool and SO easy.
Edit(again). Holy freaking crap Batman. Nevermind. I just noticed, that on every page, app, I pull up, except for the home page, the menu for that app is already in the top right corner. Oh, DEF3NDER, very cool brother, very cool indeed. Hat's off. You have changed my entire E4GT experience. Freaking awesome work man!:beer::beer::beer:

Actually, no. It doesn't locate itself, so I'm not able to use camera as is. Downloaded after market camera to use in the mean time, but really like the camera that came with jv. Lowering the dpi sounds like a viable option. I'll look into it this evening. Thanks for the idea DEF3NDER.

Why try to figure it out? As an app thats like 80kb and does a better job dude clearly that rom dev didnt want it to be best quality. You could have already taken a thousand of screenshots in perfect quality if you had just downloaded an app.

The reason why I want the built in is because the apps either put an icon on the screen or u have to use a shake movement for it which makes it bad since I'm always moving and the damn phone start taking screenshots if I find one that I could just merge it into the power menu or the screenshot combination buttons then yes it works For me

See thats easy to fix. Dude in most apps give you the option to turn it off any other ways to do it. And when I try to take a screenshot with power menu it would hit pause on games and bring me to a menu. Unlike using an app where it doesnt have that issue.

an app will not embed it to the power menu thats done within the ROM itself ask the Rom Dev to bake it in.
But an app like screenshot by Kastor Soft with the nexus icon for the app is really good.
