[Q] Can the ics update for UK be used in the US?

Hey Guys,
I just recieved my galaxy s2 4g yesterday. I have already rooted it and installed the recovery (yay). My question is, can I install the rom from the official ICS release from the UK on my US phone? Or will I have to wait till samsung rolls out a US update?
Also if I can use the UK rom, which one should I use?
Thanks!

You can't flash any thing from a non epic touch 4g unless you want a brick ...the international is gsm please read the dev section really good it doesn't sound like you know what your doing ....
Please make sure you read this thread

In general, anything in the news/wherever about ICS labeled "Galaxy S II" has little to do with this phone. Only things Specifically labeled for the SGSII Epic Touch 4G are relevant.
We have different hardware, most importantly radios, so the software is pretty much deadly to our phones.
And yes, if you read around a bit in general section, you'll see a thread started about twice a day with that same question.

[Q] titanium freeze list

Hey all, so new to the sgs3 as of yesterday, I remember finding a list that named off all the processes that you could freeze with Titanium for my sgs2... wondering if anyone has a list of removing the bloatware from our phones.
Seems with nothing installed, the phone is using almost 500 ram, where as the sgs2 was down to 264 on a boot...
So any and all help would be great
Also, is the cfroot the best way to go with rooting the sgs3?
Thanks
Its in the dev section

I really don't know. I would suggest maybe disabling bloat first and using your phone for a few days.... This way you can see if you've disabled something that you require. If all is good then freeze. Also, if you do run into problem, you can always go back to stock. I'd have to do some more digging to see the difference....

WHy wONT USB AUDIO WORK?!

There is no information at all how to actually , make any dac work with S3, if my nexus can use it then why not my S3? I'on jellybean , all it says is shot like s3 > otg > headphones > dac which makes no sense.. I just plug it in my nexus and it works if I reboot the nexus 7, I can't get the dac to work the s3, but the other cable works with connecting my camera or a flash drive. Wtf do you mean help myself?
Did you even bother to read the second link for the sgs3, that link he gave you was to a page listing devices compatibility with dac, and the second link under sgs3 is to a forum that had your answer. I breezed thought it for about a minute and found the answer you were looking for. Maybe instead of lashing out at Eddie, you can thank him for pointing you in the right direction.

Since you had to spell it out for him, the thread can be closed now.
...unless he wants to flash his device somehow to enable some sort of compatibility.

Yep, it is THE premier USB-DAC and Android OS thread on the entire Internets.
If the answer isn't in that thread (i'm not going to research it for you), then the people you need to ask questions are at least part of the thread.
Just join the forum and ask questions AFTER reading at least a few pages of material so you can at least educate yourself enough to ask the correct questions. :highfive:
