Can anyone provide feedback on the Orange Samsung Flip Cover? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

Hi every one,
First of all, thanks to all of you for your posts on this forum over the past couple of months. I'm new to Android and I've recently purchased a Galaxy Note after owning a number of iPhone's, and this place has been an absolute lifeline for information and helping me to get to grips with anything.
My question is, I know the official Samsung flip covers have taken a lot of flak for not lasting very long, however I've read that the flip cover in orange, which apparently is the latest version, has been made slightly differently to the others and could be a little more durable?
I'm just wondering if anyone owns this case, the longer the better, and could provide some feedback?
Many thanks.

I have the brown color flip cover. I only used it for 2 days. The quality is very nice, but I just don't like how it leaves the sides unprotected.

[Q] Gym accessories

Hey guys,
First time poster here!
Got my galaxy s2 last week and was wondering if there are any gym-related accessories for the phone, preferably not arm bands cos i find them too uncomfortable when lifting weights (I do weight training mostly so my phone is usually in my pockets).
Was wondering if there's some form of sweat resistant cover for the phone or anything else which I should look out for.
Your help is greatly appreciated
Cheers =)

[Q] Exercise Armband

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had some first-hand feedback in regards to armbands to use while running. I've seen some cheap ones on Amazon, I was wondering if anyone had more information on one they have/use/etc. THANKS!!!

I purchased the "HTC EVO 4G Armband / Arm Band by iArmbands" from amazon (can't post outside links yet) some time ago before there were any options specifically for the E4GT and have actually been quite pleased with it. I had to cut off the top flap on the back because the phone is a bit too long to fit in with it.
The phone fits quite snugly and the screen works very well through the cover. I've run through some heavy sprinklers with this and it does pretty well, though most recently it did let enough water in to mess with the battery a little (they were some very serious sprinklers). It's also comfortable enough to wear for a few hours. All in all, it works surprisingly well considering it isn't even designed for our phone.

Case for S5 that HOLDS a stylus??

I did a foolish, foolish thing... I promised my Mom that there were cases that would hold/keep a stylus for the new Samsung S5. I've seen many for iPhone & ASSUMED that a new flagship phone would offer similar. (yes, I know, but I was desperate to talk her out of the Note and didn't have a better idea) I have seen vids where tablet case backs are sliced carefully, and hard plastic tabs inserted into the edge of the case, with different accessories glued to the plastic tabs, quite ingenious....but how in H*ll does that help me on a PHONE case? She wants the case to hold/store the stylus. Did I mention that the standard stylus tip is too large also?? :eye rolling:
I managed to explain about the different types of screens, so she understands why a Samsung stylus only works on the Note, but she is very disappointed. To be fair, at 69 she has picked up the basics of Android in just a few months experience with a basic tablet and is kicking butt thus far with her S5. Her previous phone was a BlackBerry she had for TEN YEARS before the battery died, so I knew I had to get her the best equipment possible, VZ's BOGO on S5s came with 2 free Galaxy 7.7 tablets, all for $250, which seemed the best deal. Besides, it meant we would have the EXACT SAME phone, so her incessant questions would be easier to handle, plus a 3G tablet for vacation use as a navigation system (astounding how excited she was over that lol)
I'm new to Samsung, so I'm asking for advice, please don't make me beg! (before now, I stayed with Motorola & LG devices) I need cases & screen protector for all 4 devices, two S5's and two 7.7 tablets. I've had good luck with Zagg. I'm tough on cases tho, broke 2 Otterboxes lol. ANY and ALL ideas/suggestions happily accepted! I am quite handy, so mods are easily doable, I can sew, solder & rebuild engines! Thànks in advance for your help! :fingers-crossed:

Sony SCR26 Style Cover - Very disappointed

I received my my SCR26 cover from Clove yesterday. Preordered almost 2 months ago, because I thought it looked pretty nice. I was quite satisfied with my Dot View case from my HTC M8, and I would have liked a similar experience from Sony.
First of all the display area in the front was nicked. It was protected on both sides by a peel-off plastic , but somehow it had gotten nicked.
Secondly, there was a snap lock on the side that fastens on the back. I can see that it's shown on the Sony site now, but I am fairly certain that it wasn't a while back. It certainly isn't shown on Clove's product page. It pretty much ruins the cover for me having to unsnap the clasp to open the case. Also: way ugly
So the phone cannot lie flat on its back when the cover is on and closed (or open for that matter). I'm returning mine and suggested that Clove change their product page to reflect the actual product.
That aside, I wasn't terribly impressed with the "style view window". It's nifty being able to take pictures without opening the case as well as skipping tracks and play/pausing, but there is, as far as I can tell, no way to view your notifications other than simply acknowledging that they are there, forcing you to open the case to see what they are.
The phone adheres to the back of the case on a sticky surface, but I can see that being problematic, if it is removed and re-inserted over time.
I wasn't terribly impressed, but then again my opinion was somewhat colored by the presence of the clasp from the get-go.
I knew that this case could be somewhat disappointing
Would you mind providing some other pictures of the case?
I was almost itching to buy this case for a very long time... Since the wait was endless, I finally took the plunge and bought a Ringke Fusion case.. after reading this review I think I made a good choice after all..
I'm kind of feeling the same way as you after getting mine today after over 2 months of waiting on it ......

Could you take some pictures of it? I'm interested in getting this cover and want to see the problem and how's the cover made myself.
Sent with my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact with Tapatalk Pro
At work right now, will see what I can do when I get home.
Same here, received after 2 month and really disappointed. Build quality is awfull but the worst is that snap lock on the side, it feels like opening a purse . Oh and also the sticky part to attached the phone at the back, how long is that going to last if I decide to use the phone witout the case. Really Sony, is that all you could do for that great phone!!?
I sent it straight back to amazon as the picture was different from the product. Now looking for a new case.

the adhesive part will be restore just with a wipe of wet damp cloth
Thanks for the heads up.
It was already reported in this forum that this case wasn't the best one.
Hope you'll find the one you really like
I have had this cover for a good few months now. And it is falling apart... so also in the long term. ****ty cover.
note to self, never buy this cover. :s

Any cases available???

Has anyone found a case other than the included one that works on the Bold N1. This included case won't last long and I would like something a little more protective..
It seems that finally some protective cases for the new BOLD-N1 cellphones are starting to appear on Amazon/USA!

I'd be a little careful buying these - the pictures don't look like the N1 at all. Blu Vivo maybe?
Thanks for your advice!
I contacted the seller of these cases that apparently are for BOLD-N1, but I could not get them to send me some photos of these cases, to check if they were for the Bold-N1 and also if they were of good quality or not.
I also discovered, seeing some photos on Amazon (of the same case, but for another cellphone model), that unfortunately these cases come in two parts (a flat back and a side edge), which causes them to disassemble alone and not adequately protect the phone:

To top it all, these cases are sent from China and it would take several weeks to reach the US.
For all the above, I decided not to order this case, as it does not seem to be a good quality product.
