I just tried to install it on foxhound 0.6 and siyah. It's not working either.
I'm going to try to push it as a system app in the jelly bean port rom.

Update: with its normal apk, it didn't work yesterday.
I changed the original apk with the one you posted here, and then it worked.
We don't have connections, radio or wifi, on that port, so I couldn't test if it really worked, but atleast we know that it's opening without force closes.
I think it has something to do with the new APIs, but I really hope I'm wrong
I don't have an apk called velvet in sys/app..

Let me explain myself better:
Yesterday night I installed the 4.1 ported rom but the voice search was force closing.
I came back to ics, and tried to install the app. As you also saw by yourselves, it's not working on ics.
I then decided to try again on jelly bean, but before flashing I changed the original voice search apk with this one. Then I flashed the rom and whilst the engine keep force closing as soon as you try the speech test, the application itself is able to launch without force closing.
Long story short: on ics it's not working for me either; on jelly bean it does, but the ported rom has no connectivity so I couldn't test it.
I downloaded the .apk file and tried to install it. Its says Parse error: There is a problem parsing the package.
The apk's from the Galaxy Nexus are odexed in stock form. There is a velvet.apk and a velvet.odex file along with it! The velvet.apk only will not do the trick; it has to be a de-odexed version of it to begin with!
Is the file from the OP a de-odexed version?

Which rom are you all running? Im running wicked V4 with the latest radios/modems and mine is working great. I know I used root explorer pro to edit my build props. Can you explain futher whats happening when you try the install process?

Just running a stock deodexed UVALH2 Rom with the custom sammy kernel.
It installs fine, but once I open it tells me "This app is not certified to work in this country" or something along those lines.
But i guess if i change the device in build.prop, it would fix this? What should I change?

You need to install the modified Google wallet app and flash the lib file to get it working correctly and change build.prop, all found in that one google wallet fix thread.

I think tmobile does not support it at all. When I had my nexus never worked anywhere. I called Google they told me there is no transactions made by me at all, I made so many transactions but always was denied for no reason. I though I have defective phone. when I got my gs3 I tried the modified one and had the same problem. So I gave up.

Sure thing mate! Also there are two files in the package that needs to be copied to system/lib folder. Personaly think that theese files are a must for Polaris Office to work. Enjoy!

Damn, it still doesn't work. Can't open documents without a force close, but its a bit better... Now it won't close the entire app, but it refuses to open the documents.
With the update it works fine here now!

Not for us CM10 users... Might switch back to TouchWiz just to get Polaris working again. I hate the look of TouchWiz tho.

Anyway I think that Polaris is the best looking and one of the best office suites for android. The rest is up to you...:good:

A new version came out, 4.0.3210.07, which appears to be fully compatible with Samasung's Jelly Bean.
Installed it and it works flawlessly on my DLIH stock version.

Works great on GSIII running ParanoidAndroid 2.51.
I moved .apk to system/app and extract the two zip files to system/lib
After a few hours the gallery crashes. Then the camera no longer works. After a reboot it will work few one picture.
Works like a charm on Freeza's Sprint Touchwiz Jelly Bean 4.1.1 rom

Have not changed my build prop, but everything but the sphere viewing is working.
Although I can see the sphere view on Google plus on my computer, which is really neat. No more taking multiple pictures of a worksite, can just take a sphere pic, and attach to my work order. Company already used to street view to look at. Will be using this a lot...

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).
I'll rehost it for you on my own server - so we don't have to keep dancing with file sharing hosts..

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that both the launcher and the new google now seem to work fine on the LGOG.
Everything is pretty snappy and there are some cool new features.
Wanted to let you know, the new google now has something similar to the "always listening" on the Moto X and it's really cool.
Haven't run into any issues, but if any of you guys do, go ahead and post them!
Steps:
Manual
1.Download and install PreBuiltGmsCore.apk, Velvet.apk, and GoogleHome.apk like any other apk.
2.Using a file manager as root, copy libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so over to /system/lib and overwrite if prompted to.
By Flashing
1.Download and flash GOOGLEHOME.zip.
2.Using a file manager as root, copy libgoogle_recognizer_jni_l.so over to /system/lib and overwrite if prompted to.
New 4.4 apks including Hangouts, new camera, new keyboard, new google now and launcher:

To get Google now/search to work, you need to take the file from the zip and place it in system/lib and change permission.

I am hearing that this thing is pretty ugly due to it being for a 1080 screen and most phones are still 720.
If you have it loaded can you attest to the "ugliness" due to the screen difference. maybe a screenshot?

Did you change permission on the lib file? Also, do a reboot afterwards. Remember you have to install the Google Services app also.
I'm on Optimus v4.4 and installed all 3 parts and get Google search has stopped working when trying to switch to the launcher.

same issue here I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling manually pushing the files and everything in it still force stops.
Seems to be tied to Android 4.1.X I am still digging around for a fix.

Has anyone gotten this to work? I've tried everything and I can't get this launcher to work??? I can get google now to work but when trying to open the launcher to work it says "google search has stopped" Idk I'm about to give up...

Same boat, FC Google Search when trying to use the launcher. Everything else seems to be working, saying "Ok Google" works if Google Now is open, but have tried all fixes for the launcher and still get FC's.
I'm gonna try to make a list of ROMs that the launcher works on (after file overwrite at /system/lib).
Could the people that it works for please let us know what ROM they're on?

I figured as much, looks like I'll have to flash cm10.2 and try it again. Shame bc I love the stock camera and viper1.1 kernel has been running great. Good thing I have a flashing problem.
