T999 on Medianet? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Has anyone used a T-Mobile GS3 on AT&T's dumbphone data plan? I expect it would work but I'm hoping someone can confirm.

Not sure if this guy is using MediaNet or not. Post a question in this thread

Thanks for the suggestion, hadn't seen his thread. If anyone notices this thread and knows for sure, that'd be great, thanks in advance!

How do I go about getting the T-Mobile GS3 on Medianet?!

I've been looking and looking, I just cant seem to find anything....
First unlock your phone then add the medianet apn. Research how to do these things.
I sir, have been looking, I cant find any real info...
Have you tried the APN settings from this thread.

Maybe your computer works different than mine, but when I search for "unlock" this is at least one of many that comes up:

Of course Halmo linked to the apn thread. Maybe you should message a mod and let them know that your search function isnt working correctly and should be fix.
You spent so much time... not answering the question. would it not have been easier just to answer it? googling this subject gives no results with clear cut data. searching for unlock gave me nothing, the link you posted again yielded nothing.
And not to point out the obvious but you are in the at&t forum. You may get more help in the tmo forum.

Maybe you should make your question more clear than? From your OP it sounds like you need information on how to get your phone on AT&T Medianet. You have been given the answer to unlock your phone and enter the correct APN settings (assuming you already have the correct SIM and account with AT&T), was that not your question? If not you should clarify it so you get the answer you want.
Ok one last time then ill concluded as helpless. Here is a quote from post #2 of the link I posted above:

I don't know of a tool but there is Unlocking service on web that can unlock Galaxy S3 for a fee. I don't know how much they charge for S3 but they charged $24.99 for Galaxy Note and $14.99 for HTC One X. Here it is:
MOD EDIT, LINKS TO PAID SERVICES ARENT ALLOWED
They claim they can unlock AT&T Galaxy S3 now.

I can't understand how that was missed but maybe this is a case of technology challenged. Hope that there is a positive outcome to this thread to at least help you on your way to resolve your question.

After consideration, I concluded that you fellas are correct, my question is not very clear and assumes a lot. I already have the phone Unlocked, my question was how to go about getting medianet data plan on my phone. Some report I found sugest that people are calling in with a dumb phone IME number, and asking for Medianet, however they never spell out the APN settings, or how to go about conversing with the ATT employee to make sure you dont get "caught" any tips, or suggestions would be nice, and as for the APN settings, while I have not found the "correct" ones, the current once seems to work OK. I called last night and of right now I have the T-mobile GS3 on ATT with unlimited everything and the Medianet plan, we will see how long that last! My data speed has not in anyway decreased from the regular H+ speeds I was getting with the iphone 4s. I'm on WiFi 98% of the time so I was paying $30 for Data that I NEVER used...
This thread does have most if not all the questions you might have for the medianet topic:

Do T-mobile ROMS/instructions work on WIND S3 devices?

As somebody who uses a wind S3, this question has bothered me for a while. I see all these helpful instructions on XDA forums, all sorts of roms, but they mostly specify t-mobile and not wind. I found an article that came out on Android Authority just today and I really want to try the instructions. This URL, specifically, is the article I'm talking about:
androidauthority(dot)com/galaxy-s3-sgh-t999-t-mobile-android-4-1-1-aokp-jellybean-butter-custom-rom-111290/
Note: I'm really sorry mods. I think I would be spamming the site if I posted 10 posts just so I could post a link I'm referring to. I hope you understand, this was the only way for me to provide context for people helping me.
Do you guys think it is safe to try on a WIND device? Do you guys think there is a better method here on XDA forums? While I'm 90% sure that this will work and that my device is the same as a T-mobile device, I wanted to make sure before I do it.
Thank you to whoever read this far. Please share your wisdom in regards to my questions!

Yes the ROMs and kernels will work fine. This is the Wind S3 forum as well.
Do not use the modems though! They only work on the T999

I have a question along the same lines. Can I flash T-Mobile Stock Rom on an unlocked Wind SGS3? Do I also need to flash a separate radio? I need the Wifi Calling feature that T mobile has, and I do not want to use a T-Mobile phone because I have the grandfathered T-zones data plan and they block data use for their own IMEI's with the T zone plan.

Most importantly than the carrier would be, is the phone rooted? If so then a wifi tether app would suffice. Let me know and I can recommend you one.

Anybody???

please help. sprint to verizon?

I have a possible great deal on a brand new HTC m8. The problem is that it's a Sprint phone. I need to know if I can make it work by unlocking it or flashing it to make it work on Verizon's network? This is my first post so sorry I know this is probably an easy question but for the price of $175.00 I had to ask thanks for the help hope I'm not breaking any rules!

its not really against the rules but its kinda frowned upon. and to answer your question it would most likely not work since the two companies use non similar LTE signals though you might be able to use it for 3g but that would be atrociously slow.. lols..

Tether

Any tether solutions working yet?

Settings-WiFi-More-Mobile Network Sharing-Portable Hotspot should do the trick for you
Let me clarify my original question... A free working tether solution. Sprint gets enough of my money already.

Apologies, this is, I believe, the international M9 forum. In the UK, tethering is included in all/most EE plans hence my suggestion.
Maybe post your question in the Sprint M9 forum?
Regards
Aaron
If it's not in your plan as you've just clearly stated, then we can not help you. It's considered fraud.
You are aware that Sprint can tell you're tethering and charge you right?
Don't feed the trolls. Mods please delete this thread as nothing productive is coming of it.
