microsoft live labs deep fish????

i know this is the wrong area of the forums to post this, but this is where every one is hangin this days,, so i was wondering if any one has the activation code for the deep fish browser from mocrosoft???? i got the cab from some where else, i got to the live labs site to late< and the beta had allready been closed,,, ps i have the cab if any one wants it but it needs a activation code thus my delema,, thanks for any help

Dont follow the directions you find with google (using the promo code DFPRESS) just sign up for MS beta's with your live account and then put those same details into the deepfish download section. I got a code first time and second time(2 pda's). No i wont give one to you. I dont know what all the fuss is anyway. Its not that good.

Yeah, I just signed up again today and got an activation code about an hour ago. So, I'm sure they're giving them out pretty liberally. But I'm with you, I'm not a huge fan of it (so far). It is somewhat difficult and clumsy to use. But hey, it is in it's earliest beta stages, so I'm sure it'll better later on.

Your sarcasm radar must be on passive and set to low sensitivity. Also, don't confuse postcount for being a n00b.. ever consider that lurkers don't post because they might not have any questions they need to ask?

Thank you, I have been dealing with palm and pocket pc for a long, long time. My first PDA was a Pilot 1000. I have been lurking in this forum for a long time. I have learned a lot in my years from this forum and others. I am a beta tester for a few well known software’s. So please don't let my post count make a fool out of you.

The internet is courage juice to some people. I think the ones that are most unnecessarily sarcastic on here, are probably the ones who used to get slapped upside the head by bullies all thru their high school years, and now have found a channel thru xda to vent their anger loll!

Sadly that promo hasn't worked for me on any of the 5 accounts I registered for most of which were done yesterday afternoon when that was posted.
Thanks though for the assist and I'll have to sit tight for a bit until they release further codes to test with.
(This and WM6 BE 2.0 are the only reasons I may keep my 8525 and not go to the BlackBerry world...)

Marketplace

I don't get it.
If I use the Android XDA app, the Marketplace is visible in General. Using a real browser however, it's not. A quick search for a link into the Marketplace rears a permissions error. And all of this without being registered. So what gives? Something I'm missing here?

Oh, so it's now visible. After glancing through the rules/disclaimer it appears it'll become accessible after 8 posts for a noobjuice member. Clever.

You need more posts and/or a longer membership (I can't recall the details).
Guess the Tapatalk app needs fixing .

It's not the app...we've changed the permission on the Marketplace to not allow access to a user until he/she has made 8 posts. That 8 post level is also the same point at which you can post links. It's just an anti-spam measure. We found people were registering at XDA just to spam the site or the Marketplace. This helps.

This is good to know. Long time lurker and finally signed up so I could post in the marketplace but alas!

Can someone link to the rules for gaining access to the Marketplace? I have 8 posts but still cannot see it. Tried logging out and back in but still nothing

For a while there I thought I needed to check my eye sight. Makes sense now.

Hard to achieve 8 post if you have nothing to say or to discuss or if everything is so well explained that you do not need answers
Maybe you could add a waiting time also. Lets say after 4 weeks you get to see the market, I highly doubt anyone would wait 4 weeks just to spam something.

It doesn't make sense that you can view the Marketplace before you sign up (and then have it dissapear after you are a member).

It once again appears that the application was pulled off the Market by Google.

NOTE (12/21/2011): I'm sorry to report that Roam Control has pulled from the market yet again. It's the same story as before...I received an automated email from Google that did not provide any specifics on why the app was pulled. I have tried to appeal the decision numerous times, but I have yet to receive any type of acknowledgement or response from the Android market team.
As a temporary solution for customers who have already purchased the app, the app can be downloaded here:
- For users who purchased the original app (version 1.7.0 or earlier), please use the version available here: LINK
- For users who purchased the new app (version 2.0.0.g2), please use the version available here: LINK
I'm obviously not going to put the app back on the market unless I get the go-ahead from Google. As an alternative, I will likely either make the app available through the Amazon Appstore or directly through this website. Please stay tuned for details.

damn another app bites the dust. i feel bad for the dev he must have been making good money off this and now it will be twice as hard. hopefully google will resolve this

I actually do want to give it away for free, I'm just using it to help support my family for now, I hope y'all can appreciate that.

I had to wipe my device, if I install the apk file will the device know that I paid for it by my Google account credentials?

I don't always reply to all suggestions, but I try to. You can re-send your email if you want to be at the top of the list
Also, all proceeds (after fees) for 12/5, 12/6, and 12/7 (2PM CST cutoff) will be donated to one or more needy families in MN school district 621. Im using Bazaar for PC as my Optimus 7 doesnt support full unlock and it works really good.
We just need more apps to be in there, we should make this a sticky!
Some imporvements:
Maybe you could add a report update button?
And I dont really like the screenshot view, not really Metro like.

That is my question, too.
It is based on the IE9 engine, I doubt. So is it just a different way of UI Design or are there any other additional features compared to the IE9 on Windows Phone?

Next Browser is based on the IE9 core, but it is meant to be a different experience from Internet Explorer. It is fast and can support up to 10 tabs, and has features like pin to start, and is gesture-based to make browsing simple and clean. You can easily switch tabs by swiping left or right, which makes it easier than in IE. There are bookmarks and history, as well as switching default search provider and even changing the look of the tile.

It's not even working for me yet. Sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do. I've always had a delay when I added a new beta, but not usually this long. I will post when I can download it though.

Awesome, glad you like it.

I'm actually really close to finishing Next Browser. The current beta is pretty much useless as I've done so many changes that I don't really trust feedback anymore, because I've been using the newer version that doesn't have most of the bugs the beta has. I'm considering a beta 2. Post if you want to vote.

i thing the bigest problem with browsers on windows phone is that no browser can be set as default...
btw i like NextBrowser i think its better than IE.
