[GAME][2.2+] TUMBL (Falldown Reimagined) - Feedback Needed! - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps (US Carriers)

Hmmm...feedback coming shortly.
Edit: ran smooth on my S3. Maybe perhaps had optional accelerometer support? In addition, maybe able to make the 'ball' spin?

Hey! The accelerometer support is already built in. It's inside the Armory > Settings.
Also, the reason we didn't spin the ball is because that allows us more flexibility in terms of character customization.

Ah I missed that.
I was thinking that when I saw the additional charaters, but doesn't mean that's why.
Its pretty good...I got a score of 4170 lol.

I think maybe a warning when a star is coming so you can try to get it... send Mike luck to be in the right side

[APK] Blinky {Captivate Forum} [BLN Blinking]

So I'm going to maintain the latest and greatest version of Blinky in the Captivate forum, but I didn't want other users to miss out.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=854721
This should work with any ROM that supports neldar's BLN patch, though some ROMs replace the library on boot.
ROM maintainers - Contact me if you want the source to the lights library.
WOW i thought this wasn't possible because our boards don't support it? Anyway thanks, i'll try it

I'm very interested in if this doesn't work for a ROM or rev of the phone. Like I said, if neldar's patch works (meaning you have BLN now) this should work.
It says it's found Enhanced BLN, i flashed the zip via Voodoo Recovery, seems like it worked now to test, will report back in 5.
I can confirm that this indeed works on the I9000. I tested it with the ROM in my signature, so my guess is it will work with every Doc ROM and hopefully others. We need more people to test this, so please do and report back here for the benefit of everyone and the dev
Great job here bud! So when the lights pulse (e.g in the Nokia phones - fade in and out) is that also possible in the future?

While throbbing is possible, it would require a fair amount of CPU scheduling. If I implement it, it will be only while plugged in.
Just tested it on DOC's 4.0 JPU 2.2.1 froyo rom and it works like charm . Great work !

Ah i see, sounds great anyway pretty amazing how a Nokia 5800 can handle throbbing and our phone can't..
Would it strain the CPU if you kept throbbing on whilst it was charging (i.e to show it's charging)?

So here's the thing, there's an embedded microprocessor controlling the capsense buttons and lights. If we could get a hold of the firmware, then we could do very cool things. But we can't so the light control has to be done by the main CPU.
I'll see how well throbbing works, I may be overestimating the drain.

Yeah, it'd be cool to test out and see what happens.
P.S: Last question, would it be possible to change the colour of the lights?

Wow; pulsing will be incredible!
Colour change will only be available via a hardware modification (manually unsoldering and changing the SMD LEDs.

[LIVE WALLPAPER] Dino Pop - Free

Hi
I've just released Dino Pop Live Wallpaper onto the Android Market (link in my signature below).
I don't have a Galaxy S II to test it on - would you mind testing it out and let me know if there are any issues with speed etc?
Much appreciated.

Lol. Sorry - I hadn't taken Ornithoscelidaphobians into account!
I shall add the following message:
WARNING : May Contain Dinosaurs
I've installed it and - while personally I won't change my wallpaper for it permanently - it works perfectly. It started lagging significantly at around a score of 180 though.
Edit: While testing the 'no game' mode, I found a bug: if you keep tapping the screen the framerate drops drastically. I still like the dino animation though .

Thanks bee55 (and have 'thank'ed).
I'll was thinking of putting some sort of graphic quality throttle in place for higher levels - that would certainly help with the lag.
I hadn't noticed that 'no game' bug and I'll get right on it.
Glad you liked the T-Rex - I'm working on some more to add some variety. Raptors anyone?
Cheers,
Paul

[R] Ventrilo for Jellybean?

Currently, Ventriloid and Mangler are non functional for the Android JB firmware. Although the Ventriloid dev has posted a temp fix in the app description, it crashes alot and will not serve much use for me. Is it possible for someone to post a fixed app or a way to access vent on JB?

Just wanted to jump in and mention that I am having issues too. Samsung SII, cm10. When I start ventriloid is initially says connecting, but then very often goes back to mobile's home screen. It then leaves a notification bar entry saying that it is connected. When you click on that, it does its two vibrates and goes off entirely. Sometimes I can get it going again, but is very fiddly. Dont know if this helps. Hope so.

Have downloaded and it seems to work well. (Did loose the Ventriloid icon though!) One comment: One must tick the box Enable Global Push to Talk in order to see key. That is fine, but it does cover up part of you keyboard if you, for example, need to type in a password for a channel. Not a problem, but thought I would at least mention it.).:good:

I'm glad it's working for you I'm working on a complete UI overhaul and that global push to talk was more or less a proof of concept for being able to talk outside of the app. Android has limitations for hardware key interception that won't allow push to talk while the app is in the background, so hopefully people will enjoy this new button. It will eventually be a bar with other options that can be hidden. Thanks so much for testing, I'm glad the ICS/JB fix is working.

Motorola touchless control APK

Here's a link to check it out. Not sure if it works. If anybody wants to test out the APK, please report back with your results.
Thanks but the app is only installable on the ULTRA, MAXX, Mini, and Moto X.
it installs without problems, but doesn't appear in appdrawer, and playstore says it's incompatible with the One
I have installed the .apk, but can't start it, as it isn't present as an actual app. I think, we also need the settings app directly from the Moto X/Droid Series, in order to be able to set up the actual touchless cotrols app.
Application installed just fine on my Telus Galaxy S3 with CM10.2. Added the activities shortcut through Nova Launcher. Tried to launch each activity but it just crashed.
Rebooted and continuous errors.
There's something unique in Motorola's framework similar to TouchWiz/Sense etc. I know this is the HTC One forums, but I felt like trying it out
lol i like how the OP post an apk wants people to test but it too scared to test it himself

i've got the air gestures half working (screen on, scroll through browser etc) gonna try and get the rest working later on...
as for motorola touchless control apk it will never work without the motorola chip inside
Touchless controls is going to require a Motorola Phone. It requires a specific low-core processor that allows the phone to be constantly listening, if we kept the mic in our phones on 24/7 without Motorola's specific hardware, our battery would die in 1 hour.

I was at work and couldn't download it and play with it. I have since tried it (it failed for me too), and have done some more digging. Apparently, the Moto X has a core in it's processor made to do just this. We do not have that core. Looks like this is a lost cause...
Stop saying core! It's a DSP, noting 'core' about that. .
But yes, this is useless without that chip. There is a app on play store that does the same thing and you can even set the wake phrase ('Jarvis!'). Haven't tried it so I cannot comment on battery, but I'm sure it uses quite a bit.

Is this going to be able to work with the nexus 5 because is has the same snapdragon 800 or will it still struggle? So disappointed the nexus 5 doesn't feature some of the moto x impressive features like touchless control and amazing battery. Otherwise it is a great phone!

How about OP, you install on your device, if it doesn't work....bad times, if it does work, post a solution. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Customize Always On Display?

Does anyone know if it's possible to customize the always on display? I'm rooted and have Xposed, so if there's any Magisk module or Xposed mod anyone knows of, please share
I don't need to see the alarm info on my AOD, I'd rather have it replaced with battery info, and I'd like to have a mobile/WiFi icon (whichever is active).
It would also be nice to have charging info as well, but I haven't been able to find any app/mod/module that does something like this. Any info would be appreciated
Anyone? :crying:
This will very nice....
Well, as far as i know that is not possible.
However, It is possible to show it where the "NowPlaying"-Text appears.
I could try to build an App that shows the Battery-percentage at that place, but i don't know if that's still meaningful since Android P is coming up and already has that implemented. Would you be interested?
Well, the Icons are just placeholders - but take this as a hint to what is (maybe) coming up soon.

Maybe not with an Xposed module, but a developer I'm guessing could use OMS with substratum to theme it? It is possible to edit it with OMS, although to what extent I'm not sure, I'm not a developer. Here is a clock theme that changes the AOD clock: Google Play
As a side note, I'm not sure if the developer intended it to edit the AOD, as it's for the lockscreen clock, but it changes the AOD one. At least with the options I selected in substratum.

But I got my Phone back - nearly no blue shift, nearly no black crush, and my speaker rattle is gone! :highfive:
This evening I'm going out with my girlfriend. So I may be able to get back to work on the App today for an hour or so. I'll keep you updated!
