This is the one of the new features of JB called "Google Now"
It has been ported to work on ICS based android devices
Requirements:
A Rooted device running ICS AOSP Rom

Procedure:
Open Root Explorer & navigate to /system
Now Open build.prop in Text Editor.
Edit ro.build.version.sdk = 16 & save.
Now go to /system/app & Rename GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk1
Now reboot & install the app from the download link.
Now edit build.prop & change ro.build.version.sdk = 15 & reboot.

Tested it on CM9 and it worked..but without the voice recognition which is a normal bug still..but you can search manually and works well on our phone
Works but without voice recognition. Which is a huge advantage but not vital.

It is showing me network errors all the time, and going directly to search, and cards are not working.

yup, this one worked, link in the first post should be updated.
but its showing example cards, but when I try to search sth, the page is blank, and when I touch it it goes to normal search results. seems like its very buggy atm, or for my country not all of the feautures are available.

I'm the only one that every day looks for updates and I can not enjoy this sort of thing because ics battery is really bad ?
Did anybody try it on AOKP ?
when installing it can't install the package. any solution?
when I reboot line ro.build.version.sdk = 16 goes back to =15
I did it over this tutorial and it works on AOKP build 10

this galary Create a bigger cache than stock galary...
And takes longer time for loading picture after i delete the cache.

Like the old Gallery but stil the ICS is better ( just for me maybe ) But good work
I love this gallery on my previous Android devices but now I'm rocking a rooted Evo LTE with the stock ROM. I assume this gallery will work fine on this setup, right? If so, I think it's the last piece to the puzzle I've been missing.
Edit: Worked flawlessly! I downloaded this file, installed it by clicking it like any other APK and it installed perfectly for me w/o any additional steps. I'm running a rooted Evo LTE on the stock ROM. Thanks to the OP!
Works in Resurrection Remix v2.1 and v2.2 ICS with no fc.
With PicasaSyncAdapter.apk picasa sync with gallery works again.

Here is the Facebook Home for unsupported device....don't need edit build.prop
1. Uninstall the facebook app and facebook Massenger.
2. Dowload the rar file and unzip it.
3. Install that two app with any file manager.
4. After finish install two app and reboot your device.
5. Login the facebook app.
6. You will get Facebook Home working d.....:highfive:

I don't have problems with the unlocking thingy but my chat heads doesn't appear lool, hmmmph maybe there's another messenger apk?

Well i got performance issues it works perfectly on its own but if i open an app fb home gets killed and takes forever to load again is it something to be fixed or do we have to live it ?
Tested ok S2, working fine at the moment.

AOSP BROWSER IS HERE
installation instructions
1-download the zip file and flash through recovery
2- go to settings/applications/all/browser and wipe data or you will allways get forceclose

Ofcourse AOSP browser allways supports flash
Make a backup before flash and only flash it if you like the aosp browser style

that is not needed just sync now through google account as when you clear browser's data the bokmarks ,history etc are wiped

Yes you can but be aware it will remove stock htc browser

tried that one yesterday and same thing force close
I do like the AOSP browser more than any other browser! The problem I found with installing it on our device is that you have to sign back in to Google every time you exit and go back to use it next time! Has any one else suffered this and is there a way round it?

Does not work on SlimBean 6, the installer complains their is an app with the same name installed and conflicting signatures.

you have to uninstall the gmail in slimbean first, reboot, and then install the new one in OP. mine running slimbean and works great.

im not sure since this is now the lastest one , but after installing it, gmail is still in my installed apps list in play store, so i guess it will be updated if there is new update.

you could do this which i found with a little searching... : Settings/Storage/UNMOUNT SD card and then MOUNT SD card.

on Ricardo's google+ i got told it's a known bug so i should wait for a fix
i updated the top post with a proper shot of the error, and i also tested pa_gapps-full-4.3-20130808-signed.zip for [ROM][4.3][UNOFFICIAL] Paranoid Android 3.96 - 14/8/2013 and it didn't work

The latest version of play store has known download error when downloading some apps. Google is working on a fix. Try to install an older version of playstore. Then go to settings>apps>playstore and clear data. Hope that solves the issue for u

looks like i got it fixed.
installing cm-10.2-20130815-NIGHTLY-e975.zip together with gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip and a full wipe
