JellyBean TTS - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Did anyone found a solution to get the new awesome JellyBean TTS Voice to work with other apps than Google Now?
I've tried a few apps who support TTS like the amazon kindle app or reader hd (supports tts since todays update), but it always pushes me to the menu where I can download the TTS Voice data.

I have the same thing with my Zombies, Run! app but if I just close the menu it continues to work fine

No matter what route I take, marketplace does not have the SVOX Classic TTS Engine.
Have you found this yet?
Availability of SVOX Classic TTS Engine
Currently SVOX Classic TTS Engine is visible in the Android Market if your Android version is 2.1 or lower. If you have Froyo (Android 2.2) you don't see SVOX Classic TTS Engine. This should be resolved very soon.
Too bad... thats why i cant download (cant see it on marketplace)
Any updates on this? I still can't find SVOX classic in FROYO market. I installed Talk2Me yet I'm unable to use it because I can't score SVOX. Anywhere else I can get it?

SVOX Classic TTS

Anyone got SVOX Classic TTS working on the rooted N7? Looks like their protection scheme not compatible with JB. Actually engine is running fine; already purchased voices installs from Play store well (and sounds allright on the settings page) but these voices not appearing as installed
Already sent few emails to the developers but got no reply...

TTS Options Limited?

How come the Note 3 doesn't come with Google TTS option, only has Samsung (which sounds like crap IMO). Any way to get Google TTS installed?

Um, i'm not sure but do yourself a favor and get Ivona voice in the market place. After you install ivona voice get their AMY voice. Its all free and is the most natural sounding TTS out there. I even let it read books to me in Moon Reader + Pro and it sounds great compared to anything else.

You can get the HD samsung voices in the Samsung app store. They sound miles better than that one that came stock. Can't really get Google TTS yet. Only the HD english (US) voice seems to work with Google Maps as well.
My Note 2 has the option for Google TTS in the voice and language settings. I've been running tweaked rom on it for months so I'm not sure if it was something cooked into the rom. But last night I flashed back to a stock rom for the Note 2 and it even has the Google TTS option.
I'm now using the Ivona TTS engine, but I still miss the Google TTS. I upgraded Samsung TTS to the HD, but it still sounds horrible. Ivona is better, but I'm annoyed Google Now doesn't use the phones default but rather it's Google TTS.

Ivona Text-To-Speech

I'm not sure if this is the best forum to ask, but I received my Pixel XL and have lots of ebooks. Ivona TTS in the play store says it's not compatible. I was able to find the apk for Ivona, but not the voices. Is there anywhere I can get all the usa voices? (Looking for Joanna specifically, but would like the rest too.)
I installed the apk downloaded from a 3rd party site and it seems to install fine. I found a voice in the Play store by looking in my install history, which also installed fine. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. Ivona currently is incompatible with nougat. It runs and reads text ok inside the app, but other apps cannot find it and just use the default tts engine. I sure hope they fix it soon. Ivona's Amy UK English voice is soooo much more pleasant to listen to than all those nasally American voices out there.

Google Maps Go - Navigation

Currently I am playing around with Google Maps Go, which is meant to be a light weight version of the normal Maps app. Afaik it is a PWA.
Navigation is only working when the "add on" app
-Google maps Go - Navigation- is installed.
For some reason this app is only supported for Android 8 (since it's only a PWA, I don't get why), and I am only on Android 7.1
Is there a way to get it installed without rooting my device?
