Seriously the Nexus too?

I know apple got the Galaxy Tab 10.1 banned a few days ago. Looks like they did the same with the Nexus.

It's not their fault. The patent suits are very tempting and they already own the "Slide to Unlock", don't they?
If Google got the patent for drop down notifications, or Samsung slide up to reject and send sms or HTC to slide to camera. and many many many others, I promise you, there wouldn't even be an iPhone 5.
They have been stealing ideas from Android for 2 years now. I even think that on the first day of the keynote, instead of announcing what's new with Android, they should have announced the new features in iOS 7, hahaha...
It's Google and the other companies faults. They didn't care about the patents but Apple was smarter than them. They even got the patent for "Slide to Unlock" after 2 or 3 years from the announcement. And the funny think, it was already in other phones.
Hope this turns out fine anyways...

This is why I don't own a single apple anything and never will, I had the original iPhone and a Mac mini and aio Mac desktop back so long ago in the mid 2000s and i will never purchase another apple product ever. When i walk by the big apple store in international plaza I just wanna go in and take a dump in the window display. Buncha greedy, self centered, monopolistic pricks is all they are. They don't deserve my money with their shiester tactics.

I have an ipad and now I wish I didn't.
Yeah, apple must really be insecure about it's "innovation" to patent troll the competition like this.
The government should be telling apple to find something more productive to do with its lawyers.
Also, if I were Google I'd simply ignore the ban and keep selling directly. If that's an issue, fine I guess "ban" the use of Google voice in the USA and tell folks to complain to apple about it's trolling.

What's really gonna be interesting, Samsung makes alot of crapples parts including the "retina" display. Samsung makes both the galaxy line and nexus line, who's gonna make apples parts now? Its not very smart to hit your supplier in the pocket, they cut u off quick.

This is true, but apple is dicking around with a huge source of samsungs revenue and Samsung doesn't need apple to survive. If apple keeps playing with fire, they will burn their bridge and Samsung will use the mfg of crapples parts as leverage against them. And apple only attacks mfgs cuz they know Google will crush them in court. If or when (more likely when) the mfgs and Google team up against apple, apple will end up bankrupting themselves trying to sue a force much much bigger than them on the global scale. Just think what will happen if apple is forced to only sell in the US, they don't own global patents so Samsung, HTC, and Motorola can take them to court in other countries and shut them down

Destroying innovation? Was the iPod not innovative? What about when they came up with the original iPhone? And the iPad? Without them we wouldn't have our Androids. They popularized mp3 players, touch screen phones with minimal buttons, and tablets.
Sure, it's lame that they won the dispute, but they are definitely innovative.

There's a difference between being popular and innovative.
They are just popular, and whatever they do, becomes famous and an innovation. But it isn't.
Microsoft built the first tablet. And before the iPhone there were the Nokia smartphones. They just made them popular and said they invented that "innovative" product.

You're confusing innovation with invention. Apple are, without doubt, a very innovative company. Anyone who says otherwise is deluded.

I wouldn't care who gets sued but the evil empire(apple) brought this and all the suits coming their way especially the one from Motorola/ Google. Apple should have just asked for a small licensing fee and made things easy and reaped the benefits of androids growth instead of making this spectacle and pretty much making them the bad guy in most tech peoples eyes.

first off, i hate Yin and Yang discussions but since this is yet ANOTHER "apple sucks" discussion, lets look at it from your point of view. per your quote from endlessparadigm, Samsung released some garbage ass smartphones to compete with blackberry. Yeah, iOS was sort of a pioneer for us. The ORIGINAL touchwiz does seem more or less a copy, but they did grow from that over the years.
The fact of the matter is, if apple wins, they'll have the ego to start going after more and more companies probably even google. Our OS is on the line atm, which is why alot of us our up in arms
I like to think of Apple as republicans, sure they had good intentions at the start, but they let the money and influence get to their heads. Like Republicans now a days, they go after anyone that's not them and kick em in the balls, partially for no right or reason.

It is not a pos, it is a great phone. Android also has some great phones. But the two are great for different reasons. It is a matter of choice, and consumer choice should rule, not litigation.

If someone without a clue of technology asks me what phone they should buy, i hesitate to say Android, because it needs more effort and intelligence to set the phone up... I would have been inclined to agree with you 4 years ago...now, not so much. Android is painfully easy now. In fact, a lot of things are even easier than iOS until Apple steals more "innovations" from Android and Windows Phone for iOS 6.

Then they start dictating what you can and cannot do with their stuff, after you've paid a premium price for it, and that's where they lose me.

I'd have to disagree on this, My mom had no issues picking up a MyTouch 3g and using it. Only thing she had to get use to was using a touch screen and it took her all of 2 weeks to get use to using a touch screen. She easily setup a password, sync'd her contacts, added music, etc. and that was on android 1.6

Uuuuh, 2 huge things I can think of off the top of my head.
1. Only allowed to download Apple approved apps from the app store, no side loading.
2. Entire file system is not accessible by the user.
Just these two put up some huge barriers for people who want to do whatever they want with the hardware, and furthers the idea that they only let you do what they want you to do.

It is an extremely cynical move by two massive megacorp companies (both with troubled ethical histories) betting LOTS of money on people being brainless stupid herdable sheep. Instead of calling me cynical, you should feel a bit affronted at Google....because both these corps are saying very blatantly that they think we consumers are brainless programmable robots who will jump when asked.
Google and Nestle can claim no money was traded hands all they want...but there was quid pro quo, you can bet your entire lifetime earnings and savings there was.

Agree and disagree:
I disagree with you about the sheep analogy. We are not all sheep choosing flocks to follow. Sheep are herd animals and humans are pack animals (at least this used to be true). The iSheep represent the ever growing part of humanity that has made the transformation into herd animals. I, and many of us here, refuse to be transformed by media/advertizing/image consultants into a bleating wooly douchebag. The analogy for those like me would be that of the wolf; a pack animal who, whether alone or with his pack, will divide the herd and eventually bite and eat one of them.
I agree that it doesn't matter what branding Android 4.4 has...I've always referred to version anyway

The iSheep represent the ever growing part of humanity that has made the transformation into herd animals. I, and many of us here, refuse to be transformed by media/advertizing/image consultants into a bleating wooly douchebag. The analogy for those like me would be that of the wolf; a pack animal who, whether alone or with his pack, will divide the herd and eventually bite and eat one of them.
I agree that it doesn't matter what branding Android 4.4 has...I've always referred to version anyway

Like CHZECK said, version and improvements are all that matter. They can call it ANDROID VERSION CRAP 2.0 for all I care, as long as they fix the bugs, improve the user experience and put APPLE out of business, I am happy!

Lol yea if apple went out of business I probably would smile. But I doubt it. Unless all android phone make you feel like your apart of a society than its not happening. The only manufacturer that makes you feel as though your part of a society like apple is Samsung. Which is why I like their phones. People see Iphone. And think upper class, sophistication, and belonging. Which gives them a sense of belonging to a group of elite. I mean who dont want to walk around feeling like their worth a million bucks with year old tech smh. We look at Samsung and see innovation, future, and a sense of belonging to a group of intellectual individuals even though on xda some people make me wonder with questions like whats rooting or a kernel, But they have a profile lol. Since Samsung set a stepping stone on what sales and devices should look like htc, lg and everyone else is really stepping it up. So apple may be in trouble in the future but as of right now. There to many zombies for them to sell to.... my bad for the essay

I personally don't want to see Apple go out of business. I like competition. I think it actually benefits us consumers.
Personally, I don't think Samsung is the bee's knees or anything, but they do make a few products I enjoy, such as the Galaxy Note series smartphone. My enjoy derives nothing from Apple's products. I like they're Android, are rootable with fair ease, have SD card slots, pullable batteries, and actually make the phablet one of the flagship phones, instead of an after though like many other companies.
I'm not an Apple fan. I don't know about the company now with CEO Cook, but under Jobs reign, they were able to make things people found useful and wanted. I don't think they really came up with many ideas that were original, but found the right delivery of it. Plus, since Apple tries to just make everything work, that's that many less people who's electronics I ultimately end up fixing; it gets irritating always fixing other people's crap because they don't have a clue.

Yea the competition is fun. I use to be an apple fan but I've always been more of a fan of customizations. When android came out I was torn because I mean you could customize a iphone 3g and 3gs at the time when jail broken. But android had launchers icons. Colors, mp3 ringtone makers. Rooting, and constantly adding more features. I actually waited for apples response. Now so many years later. Their finally responding with a more customizable ui its to late. Im done with them. Plus I saw people happy as **** that they could swipe their Iphone cross registers and pay for gas all with nfc enabled I laughed. Only because my S3 was doing that while the Iphone 4 was still on 3g like its 3g/s predecessor. Lol or my e4gt was rocking 4g wimax. It's kinda crazy though because in the tortoise and hare race. Apple the tortoise was winning the race with out dated tech smh. Apple is a cult lol

Samsung runs the world lol considering that they make tons more stuff than just phones. Everything in my house is Samsung. Only apple I own is in the bottom trey of my fridge and thats even rotten
