Incipio Faxion case for S3 - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hello,
Does anyone familiar with Incipio Faxion case for the S3?
http://www.incipio.com/Samsung-Gala...-Soft-Shell-Case-with-Polycarbonate-Frame.asp
It looks nice, but unlike other high-quality cases, it doesn't have 2 layers (inner silicon and outer hard material).
Incipio also have DualPro model, which does come with 2 layers, but I like more the Faxion design.
I would be happy to know your opinion, especially if you have experience with these cases.

Ordered one yesterday, got he grey and white for my white s3.

I've been looking for a quality, white case and it's between the Faxion and Commuter.
Does anyone know how protective this case is compared to the Commuter?

Hi Nickel Dime Bay,
I will appreciate it if you reply to this thread with few words about this case, once you get it.
audiofx,
According to reviews of the Commuter, it has an issue of stiff and hard-to-press buttons. So take it into consideration.
btw, I emailed Incipio two days ago about the Faxion case, but didn't get any response until now. This level of support make me think twice about buying from them.

Incipio DualPro model, which does come with 2 layers are the best!!
But their customer service sucks!! lol

Torn between a few cases. Can you help me decide?

Hey guys,
I am looking into buying a case now, and after looking through some threads here, I think I will pick one of these three:
Diztronic TPU case: http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Flexible-Protector-International-Packaging/dp/B0089F49P0/ref=?ie=UTF8&m=A2HOCXU5SC35JO
Ringke Slim Lite: http://www.rearthusa.com/galaxy_s3_slim_lite_kit
Incipio Silicrylic: http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-SA-302-Silicrylic-Silicone-Samsung/dp/B0085VAP38/ref=sr_1_1_m?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1342098764&sr=1-1&keywords=galaxy+s3+incipio
The most important thing for a case to me is drop protection, followed by thinness.
I have heard good things about all these cases, so I feel that I can't go wrong, but I'm having a hard time choosing.
Also, if you know of any other cases that you really like and offer good drop protection.. let me know
Edit: Looks like I'll go with the Incipio.. Thanks for the replies

If drop protection is top on you list then take the Rearth off the list. TPU is quite hard when compared to silicone, in a drop test the Silicrylic case will not doubt be much better.

+1 I currently use the Ringke but only because it's thin and provides enough protection to prevent scratches while still preserving the beauty of the device. I also have the Diztronic tpu and it should provide enough protection for low drops.

My silicrylic and my gs3 both showed up yesterday.
The case is very nice and definitely offers drop protection. The silicone doesn't seem to attract dust and lint like I thought it would.
I used to have a seidio active on my evo 3d which is the same type of case, so I thought I knew what to expect. I have to say though the incipio case is much nicer than the seidio case was. It is very sleek for what it is and the silicone isn't at all tacky like the seidio case was. It is very smooth and slides in and out of a pocket very nicely.
The all black looks nice on my blue gs3 too which is great.
I basically bought this case for times I may want a little extra protection, but I am so happy with it I think I will use it as my primary case. Fyi I ordered from Amazon and it only cost me $17 shipped.
I'm liking that incipio
I have this casemate one because it was all I could find the second day I had the phone. They come in all black now
Definitely buy the Incipio Silicrylic.
I have actually bought all 3 types of cases for my S3 that you listed in your OP, so my opinion matters more than these other guys! j/k -- 1) TPU (Cruzerlite ($10); similar to Diztronic and $1 versions on ebay); 2) Hard polycarb shell (Rock Quicksand ($10); similar to rinke); 3) Hybrid (Incipio ($18)).
After trying all the cases on, I can only recommend the Incipio if you care anything at all about protecting your phone, while looking good, and without adding as much bulk as an otterbox. The Incipio's Silicone sides and the hard case itself is also grippier than the others, and doesn't attract lint at all like my $0.99 silicone lint magnet on my old Captivate.
(Throw the screen protector that comes with the Incipio away, though. Crap quality)
I have the incipio and like it a lot...tried a letterbox commuter but took it back because I liked the incipio that much better...

Another vote for incipio :good:
I dunno, if thinness is number 2 you should stay far away from the incipio. It is definitely a fatty.
I say just suck it up and get the ringke or diztronic and just be more careful.
Look no further!!!
Seriously... you should +1 this ish.

The Incipio is an excellent choice. I bought all three and find the Incipio to be far superior, mostly due to protection capabilities.

I love my Incipio Silicrylic White/Gray case, but I just ordered an Otterbox Defender for the times when I feel I need a little added protection.
The only thing I don't like about the Incipio Silicrylic is that it doesn't have quite as much grip on the hard shell as I expected it to. Otherwise, it looks great, seems to protect well (though I haven't dropped it yet, and don't plan to), and doesn't gather lint.
If I wasn't so afraid of the phone slipping out of my pocket, like my iPod does all the time, I wouldn't even use a case.
But, a good case is a lot cheaper than total protection insurance. It costs more over the course of 2 years with deductible than I originally paid for the phone with contract. An an Otterbox Defender only costs $30-$50.
My vote is for the incipio
If you don't mind the extra bulk and want the peace of mind stick with the defender. The bulk is not bad, and it makes the phone feel like it's made of more premium material, I own it and it's great!

Get the Incipio. The Otterbox and Trident cases can withstand more torture but let's be honest here. Going with one of them turns a beautiful phone into one ugly ass crack whore.

Video Review: Incipio Faxion for Samsung Galaxy S3

Hey fellas,
Got my hands on the Incipio Faxion today, this is a one-piece hybrid style case that offers great protection without adding excessive bulk. Made of a TPU and polycarbonate combination, the Faxion fits tightly on your Galaxy S3, ensuring a nice and solid feel. Ports and cutouts are perfect on this one, and although the back scratches up, at least the case is getting damaged and not your phone. Scratch & drop protection are very good since the combination of materials provides for great shock absorption and scratch protection. The case retails for 35$ from Incipio but you can find it for 20$ if you look around.
Check out the full review below:
Thanks for the review!
I just got my Faxion now (white/grey), and it looks and feels very good.

It's a pretty awesome case isn't it? I'm slightly leaning towards the CandyShell because of the more conservative design, but this one is great too.
Hey I have the speck candy shell but this looks a little cooler thinking of getting this. Do the buttons feel clicky with this case?
Faxion or Silicrylic?
I posted this question in the other thread that discusses incipio's Silicrylic style of cases, (sorry to duplicate).
Anyone had a chance to compare this (Incipio Faxion case) with the Silicrylic DualPro?
Thanks.

Any non leather cases?

Leather has a nasty feeling to me, especially when it is cheap leather.
I cannot believe there is not some sort of padded case, or silicone...SOMETHING other than leather. I find it hard to believe all there is is cheap bulky leather cases for the Infinity.
Please link to all non leather cases for those of us that don't like leather cases.

This is one of my favorite case,it was great when i had my Galaxy Tab 10.1
I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004T655OW/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
It's nothing exciting, but it's not leather, and it has a pocket for SD cards and screen wipes.
I use the ballistic sg case. My wife uses the incipio silicryllic case.

I bought the incipio Aoba but returned it immediately because you couldn't even press the buttons through the case, it was rock hard
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089Q83SS/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
Bought the incipio silicrylic after that and love it. It has a soft gel case that's easy to push the buttons but also has a hard shell that protects each of the corners.

Best TPU style case?

Looking for the thinnest and best fitting TPU style case. So far, I know of the Incipio NGP, Diztronic and Cruzerlite. What do you guys recommend?

I'm using the Diztronic matte blue one. Fits really well and looks great, much better than the cheapo one I picked up on ebay :silly:
Hasn't anyone used all 3 of the cases I listed above for their S3 and can compare? Wondering which one's the thinnest.
In have the diztronic matte black and it's great. Its not too thick and has a decent grip to it. Some have said the cruzerlite tpu cases have a ribed side for grip.
+1 For Diztronic matte black. Thin, light, good fit, easy to remove, no finger prints, slides easily in and out pockets, provides "adequate" protection of all 4 side edges given its thickness and a light lid-bumper around the front edges of the screen helps keep the screen from touching flat surfaces when the SGS3 is placed face-down. Btw... it also looks good.
I have all 3 and I must say the THINNEST hands down is none of the above. Samsung actually makes the thinnest TPU case and also while its the thinnest it has covered flaps for the 3.5mm headphone jack and the micro usb charging port! While I love my clear matte back Diztronic case the Samsung one has it beat in terms of sheer thinness. It also has the least amount of lip so it doesn't lift the edges of a Zagg or other full screen protector. Just my 2 cents.

The Body Glove tpu case is actually really thin on my S3 and its 20 bucks on Smartphonepedia.com. I hope this helps

Have you tried Samsung brand Protective Case blue TPU case? This thing feels amazing, nice grip and covers headphone port and microUSB. I have tried several different TPU cases and this one hands down feel the best for me. ExpansyUSA is selling them for $12.99

I find it lame that people review cases and use the terms "thin" and "slim" in term reviews... These terms are totally useless to me as they can mean drastically different things to different people. When I do case reviews I try to include measurements whenever possible.
Example, post #4 of my Igadgitz TPU case review:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762539
I think if more an more people start doing this, everyone will be better off.

When you get both, will you perhaps do a side by side review of them for us? I like to hear what other people think about our stuff and how it stacks up against other cases.
Thanks

Will do.
The Mercury Pearl is by far the best fitting and looking TPU for the SGS3.
IMHO, YMMV...
i have a diztronic and the cruizerlite case. i like the cruizerlite better but thats mainly because it has the cool design all over it. the diz is just a plain cae. the diz is thinner than the cruizer but the cruizer has the ribbed sides so it grips better. they both fit about the same. the ridge on the front that touched the screen is a little thicker on the cruizer. i'd recommend either to anyone!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Sam...Case-Galaxy-S3-SIII-i9300-White-/130737661345
not splashproof but very thin..
I really like my mercury translucent Incipio NGP case. Only downside is that the covered power button is a little harder to click.
really like my matte black ditztronic
I want to try a Diztronic case but I don't like the color choices for my white S3.

Rugged Case Suggestion Help for the LG G4

Hi there ladies and gentlemen.
I have been looking around for a rugged case for the LG G4, and I'm wondering if anyone here has decent suggestions for such cases for the LG G4.
Currently, I'm looking at the Spigen Slim Armor case, the Case-Mate Naked Tough case, and the Tech21 Evo Tactical case, but if there are better suggestions, please do throw out some suggestions on here.
Thanks.
Hello, i have Spigen Slim Armor case. I was deciding between Slim Armor and Capsule Ultra Rugged also from Spigen. I bought Slim Armor in gunmetal, its very good, good looking, best quality and its tight, so phone have very good protection. But after maybe week it start scratching on the back, on the plastic. Its not visible in normal conditions because plastic is all in gunmetal color, not only color coating, but from some angles i can see it. And this case is bulky. I'm personally don't have problem with this but some people might have. So when you want slimmer case, go to Capsule Ultra Rugged, when you don't judge bulkness, slim armor is also very good.
+1 for the Spigen Armor. Used both Slim and Tough Armor on different phones for years now. Not the cheapest around but without any flaws, even after years.
A warning: Look out for clones. I received a fake Spigen for a Samsung S4 once, but it was total crap. Cheaper material that felt terrible and made the side buttons unusable. Ok, the button problem may not occur with the G4

Consider buying this item from FastTech (Chinese co.), PC + Silicone Protective Case Cover for LG G4: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1152/10025793/5608603 - it's thin and not that noticeable and rugged and durable - I've used my all black one for over a year and still looks great. At $2.55 US you can't lose, IMO.
