So... Example
If i want to install LeeDroid 2.4 but before so i want to delete all the sense apps and other unwanted apps and install ADW Launcher, would i just put the ADWlauncher.apk file along with others in System\apps? because i have tried and it doesn't work. any idea why?
Correct, you might have deleted some dependencies for other apks during the process though.

Thanks, one other thing if i delete HTC Sense and put ADW in its place should it install and start ok with ADW Launcher?
If you delete the Rosie.apk I don't think you'll be able to use the SenseUI widgets, if you want to remove Sense why don't you just use a stock AOSP ROM?

I was really using LeeDroid as an example, it would probably be iNsertCoin as i want the HD Sense benefits like the test magnifying glass function and the small text, other things that dont come to mind lol. So basically an HD Sense base but with a gingerbread "feel" or theme.
I dont want to RCmix desensinzed because i think its a bit messy

Just found that lol, I'm still wanting to use HD really anyway + I really just want to be able to add apps to any rom before flashing (successfully lol)

Since there is no thread regarding this mod, and since i wanted it for myself so badly, after busting Flemmard's balls for about 2 hours I managed to make it
It simply makes the launcher go to landscape without the need to slide the keyboard out.
This has only been tested on Virtuous Sense 2.0.0

Am at work so cannot test this myself, but does anyone know if this will also break the lockscreen options menu on the Sense 3.0 lockscreen?
Yes it probably will. The lockscreen will still work but you won't have the options to change it.

Has been working for me great all this time. It started "breaking" this morning though, after i installed the sense 3.0 lockscreen. The thing is that rosie gets fubar sometimes on its own will, when exiting a landscape game for example...

I have instaled Rosie.apk with no problems and now when I rotate the phone the homescreen also rotate without opening the keyboard. (I have desire Z -rooted with Virtuous Sense v2.0.0). But when I restart phone this function dissaper so I have to install Rosie.apk again. Is there any way to fix that.
I havent had problems of sort, but if i were you i'd try the flashable version.

thanks for answer but I am new in android world and I am not shure what means flashable version. Does that mean that I have to download the Rotating_Rosie.zip file and apply it with ROM Manager as I would install new ROM? Is there any chance ob bricking the divice or being stuck in boot loop when doing this?

There is all ways a risk flashing mods. But as long as you use the mod on the correct Rom you will normally be fine.
To apply the rotating_rosie.zip you need to flash in recovery. You can use Rom manager. But I would suggest that you learn how to use CWM recovery to get full manual control over your device.

Hello again, as i said before on my forums, when ever i had wifi working n this rom, i would officially released it on xda, and so this is the day, after much pondering i finally figured out the fix today. This rom is based on capychimps original rom Rcmix. This also comes with Sense 3.5(newer version, than Bliss) and the famous Beats audio mod.

I changed my mind
Really bad. It keeps showing the HTC screen so resetting all the time forced close and unresponsive. So yeah. A lot of stuff need to be fixed
Anyway went back to Miui

DZ hboot? I am able to flash roms such as miui but this one i am having problems..
Newest T-Mobile release of 2.3.4 GB MySense 2.32.531.1, rooted, deodexed, zipaligned, bloat removed. Added TDJ's v7 Sense kernel.
I put this rom together because I know a lot of people do like having their phone look and feel very stock but hate the sluggishness and battery drain of the stock rom. Lots of bloat has been removed so your phone should run a bit faster and battery should last a bit longer as well.
Warning! I am NOT responsible for anything that happens to your device. Please read installation instructions carefully!
Flashing Instructions...
Full Wipe. Thats it.
(format data, system, cache, dalvik cache)!

I have plans to add in ICS style window transitions and a bit of color to this rom but until then I have added another download link in this post for a mod that I did with UOT Kitchen that will add some blue overscroll to menus, semi transparent pulldown menu, some ICS style screen transitions and my personal favorite font Caviar Dreams.

I wouldn't exactly call myself a dev yet, but I am trying to learn all I can so I can contribute back to the community. I just barely setup Ubuntu on my machine last week, so its a long road ahead and lots of reading.

My friend was planning to get rid of the bloat and make his parents' MT4Gs faster. Rather than CM7, this will probably be way more helpful.

I like the idea but it needs some performance enhancements. Also would you consider working on the stock HTC panache Rom?

well if your taking requests lol... I recently rooted & flashed a Sensation for a friend, I installed a rom from called HyperNon-sense. its basically the same principle as here (sense de-bloated with some tweaks) but its based off sense 3.5. it would be nice to have something like that for our device or even a port of the original here's a link to the thread if u wanna check it out:

The menu when you hold down the power button with rebooting into recovery, Hibernate, power down, etc. would be a great addition.
Well, i have no idea how much of this is possible but the things in Sense 3.5 ROMs that I would love to see in a MySense ROM are:
Lower auto-brightness
More "Quick-Settings" Options
Reboot Menu (already mentioned)
Replacement for "Faves" button to configurable.
That's all I can think of right now. Also, I can't remember, did MySense have a Twitter HTC widget? It's not in this ROM but I was curious if it was removed or MySense simply doesn't have it?

Mysense does have twitter widget, I can put it back in if it's wanted, I don't really use it much myself or know anybody else who does. I plan on finding out how to setup the faves button to be remappable like royal glacier did.

Haha, well, I guess I'm the only one, I'll make a request for it if it isn't too much trouble. Not that the Friendstream widget doesn't do something similar I guess. I don't use Facebook so usually just use the Twitter widget.

That would basically be the reason why i didnt delete the friendstream widget too cause its multi function for facebook and twitter.

Yes it is As it is written in init.d script, it get values from this script on every reboot. All you need to do is to edit system/etc/init.d/22sweepfc file and change value for dt2w (in this case echo "1" > /sys/android_touch/s2w_allow_double_tap), by default it is 0, which means disabled. Change it to 1 and save. Done
Hi, wonderful ROM. Love the speed. One question, though, I can't see any news sources to add in BlinkFeed, nor can I connect any social networks. I just see calendar and gallery. I'm a big fan of BlinkFeed. If there's any apk I can install to get those features, it would be great.

All social apps and news app have been removed. I can attach news apk later when I am on PC, then you can paste it to /system/app. I am not sure about FB and other social apps, as I removed libs as well edit: tell me what social apps you need, i will create flashable zip for you later then.

Ok, done. Download it from HERE. Flash thru recovery (wipe dalvik and cache after that). Let me know if everything's fine.

Worked like a charm. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are configured on Blinkfeed and working fine.
Even the kernel seems to be working well for me.
I think there's a minor sync issue though. I'm not getting mails, notifications, etc for any apps correctly. I get them all at once a few hours late even though sync intervals are fairly short.
Am I the only one that downloaded "TWICE" of the ROM (new layout) that get corrupted during flashing? =_=
PS. using the twrp2853-BiG recovery by the way (new layout)

Seems so ^^
I did a nandroid backup of this Rom, then restored later and seem to have lost all radio function. No WiFi or gsm. I also restored an earlier backup and its the same. I backed up everything, did a full wipe before restoring, and just did a straight restore. Rom's fine, just no radio. Any ideas what's happened here?

Ended up doing a full wipe and re-installing and radio's fine. Bit worrying that this happened on 2 TWRP backups. Will see if others have experienced this, maybe linked to the new layout version?

Thank you for this rom. I am finding it very functional. I have jumped off Unboxed New Layout as I just couldn't get the Sense Toolbox in Exposed to give me the look and feel that I wanted.
By moving to this rom / Old Layout and flashing Lyapota Mod pack Version 8/ Resource Manager Modpack 5 and a Transparent Clock Widget I have exactly what I want.
Everything that I want is working perfectly and what a bonus, S2W without having to go to CM based Rom.
So once again THANK YOU.

Same here. I tried Lyapota mods a few times with New Layout Unboxed but failed. I could get it close to what I wanted with Exposed Sense toolbox within the rom, but even then the set up was not as good as the Lyapota mods set up, in my opinion.
I am content with Old Layout with this Rom, as I have plenty of storage for what I want. And Lyapota Mods funkiness.

So long as it's mod pack first seems fine. Couldn't get white clock to work though. Know of another mod/theme for this?
