[Q] Mock locations (Fake GPS) not working on Captivate Glide - what to do? - Samsung Captivate Glide

Hi all,
Fake GPS applications do not seem to be working properly on Samsung Captivate Glide. Even with "MOCK LOCATIONS" checked, and a fake location set, the phone does not recognise the mock location.
Something is strange, as most Fake GPS apps are not working now. "Location Spoofer" is the only one working for me perfectly, but only when I also click the "Spoof GPS location too". It seems something is wrong in the way some apps talk to the phone's GPS.
What may be causing this? I really like "Fake GPS" the best and as I paid for the donate version so I can store my GPS coordinates, I would prefer to use it.
Any ideas?
Thanks! :good::good::good:

Try out "Fake GPS Pro" from the play store. It is the best available for android at the moment

Is geolocation software or hardware?

I used to have my weather set via geolocation but ever since my phone got wet, it's had problems finding my location (gps works still.) Maybe it's accuweather?

GPS does require a physical receiver to pick up the signal and translate it into software data the apps use for geolocation.
SO if your GPS receiver is working, and its accurate then the geolocating features should technically work.
But when you add water to the mix, then anything is possible.

External BT GPS without Mock Locations

Hi guys,
Since I'm playing Ingress, and the GPS of my One X is getting worse day by day, I've found an old but good BT GPS receiver... I've downloaded some apps for pairing my GPS to the phone, and it actually works! But, I need to allow Mock Locations in the Devs settings... Ingress doesn't start with this option...
Is there a method to bypass the Mock Location setting? I've tried to copy the app in /system/app, but it's the same...

I play ingress as well, and I am pretty sure you are looking to cheat as the newest ingress (1.22.0) balances out the GPS after a few minutes, actually works pretty well on my HTC merge, now GS3. But however since you are rooted, there is no way i have found yet to date that will use a bluetooth GPS without mock locations. My father has a GS3 as well and he doesn't "want google to know where the *heck* he is all the time" so he was using a bluetooth gps. Then the newer update requires Google to know where you are if you want to use google maps (imagine that). So, if you need to, there is a program called "Fake GPS Location". This will have to be moved to your system\app folder with permissions.
I just hope that you are not using this app for cheating as I love the game and enjoy the moving around (hate the fuel consumption) and I know I would not appreciate someone faking their location around my neck of the woods.
FINALLY: It has been noted that google has caught on to this and won't let you move around too fast and can sometimes tell that you are faking. This is done by verifying that your Lat/Long doesn't change frequently/too accurate or is too fast. So keep in mind that it would be best to use your standard GPS until you are at location the "set location" and hope for the best.
Happy Gaming! BTW my Ingress alias is the same as my screen name here. Good luck!

[Q] Fake location services (GPS) for FTV?

I have an application that is looking for a GPS (location services) to be enabled in order to watch/stream from that site. Is there a way a rooted FTV can be fooled into thinking it has a GPS since it clearly doesn't?
I'm not sure a location spoofer would work since the app (NHL GameCenter) is looking for the "location services" first, and probably the location 2nd.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

That will turn the stuff on, as for spoofing it I have no idea, sure there is ways. I'd google it since that wouldn't necessary be AFTV specific.

Latest Google Maps requires "high accuracy" Location on GTP!

Hey folks,
The latest version of Google Maps has had an impact on the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. Basically, you need to set Location to "high accuracy" to get a location fix! Whereas before you could use "power saving" (use wi-fi only to find location) and Google Maps would provide a location fix.
This is really, really horrible. I am not going to turn on my GPS chip when my tablet spends its whole day inside my house. But I still would like a location fix to be provided to Google Maps so I can do things like, easily find directions from "current location" to somewhere else, etc.
There is already some people complaining about this issue on Google forum, please add to it to give this issue further attention:

Gps is not accurate!

I used fake gps locator application. After using it i realised google maps jumps to fake location and doesn't go back to real location. I have disabled mock location and uninstalled fake gps app. Even tried gps fix apps. But none of them works. Do anyone has an idea to fix it?
