2100mah battery + charger from ebay - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I recently bought a 2100mah battery and charger set off ebay for $8. Has anybody tried it yet? link
Its mainly just so I can have a backup battery and external charger but if it does last longer than stock battery that would be a nice bonus.
Edit: So this battery and charger came in a few weeks ago and both are working great. The battery life seems very similar to stock so I bet the actual capacity is around 1800. The charger works well, has a light that shows full charge and has a usb port on bottom for charging phone too. For my purposes I'm happy with this for now.
Edit2: After a few more weeks of occasional use this battery is definitely lower capacity than stock. My guess is around 1500 but no issues otherwise. The charger is working great though. Its nice to be able to charge battery out of phone and just pop in an extra battery in the meantime.

Here's my thoughts:
It's $8 for a 300 mAh upgrade. Plus, its in Hong Kong, so I don't know how quick it would ship. (Assuming you live where I do, in the United States.)
2300 mAh upgrade from stock. $20.
If you do the math, the second one is a way better deal.
http://www.amazon.com/QCell-Samsung-4100mAh-Extended-Compatible/dp/B006TQOJXI`

Yeah I agree big battery is a better deal, but I don't want a fat case and a heavy phone. This is a spare battery and charger in my laptop bag in case I need it. Its been a week already so it should arrive within the next few days. I will post some info when it arrives.

Just so you know you get what your paying for. So if this cheap battery fries your phone your out of luck with any warranties.
Ps. Don't use cheap batteries they don't have the same safe internals as oem batteries!

I have yet to find a battery that is extended life and same size as stock that works as advertised. Usually after a week or two they last as long as OEM batteries do. I even read a whole article a few months ago about it and it seems they're all crap after checking voltage throughout a month span.

Why get a 1600mah when theres a 1650mah by T-Mobile?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Because no one can find the friggin 1650s. Even the post dedicated to them doesn't have more than a dead ebay link for them.
Sent from my rough sketch of a Vibrant on a brick.
why get the 1650 when u can get 2800 on amaZON for under 20.00 us?
Well anything higher than 1600mah will cause the phone to get really fat.
I posted link above.
fat battery
I got one of those fat batteries from amazon and it doesn't seem to last that much longer than a standard battery. It also makes the phone look pregnant.
I am using a 3.7VDC 3500mAh Li-ion Battery for my vibrant and it lasts me for 2 days and a half without charge, Of course the battery is a little bulkier then the normal 1500mAh, & it comes with a back Case, its worth the cost and its for only $16 Bucks on ebay. Its worth the money Sweet

Well actually the battery was working fine when I received it. What you want to do is once you have the battey, deplete it till it fully drains out of power. Then recharge it with the charger they supplied you, don't charge it throu the phone. Once you see its fully charged. Chharge it for at least 1 hour more and u will get the full capacity of the battery. If your vibrant has a good kernel u will be set for 2 days straight. Hope that helps. Am using overstocked kernel

...he said dont charge it through the phone, which is the only way you can use the vibrant charger so that rules that one out, so by process of elimination and a lil bit of thinking the only option left is his came with a charger for the battery, probably a small dock type deal.
Just gotta think a little not too much to ask
i apologize for the late reply, I should of been more specific with the charger i was talking about. It is a USB/AC Wall charger for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000, Sprint Epic 4G, AT&T Captivate i897,T-Mobile Vibrant T959. You can view it on ebay, Amazon etc.

2x3500mAh extended batteries, 2 battery covers, wall charger... 20.99?

Just like the title says, I found this deal on Ebay. I'll let you know if these batteries fry my phone when I get it. I hope to get it soon.

I have seen that on ebay. Some of those deals come from hong kong. Shipping takes forever. Great deal tho I have had one of those knock off extended batterys and it worked like a champ.
Wow! I'm now using one battery while charging the other on the external charger. Shipping took a bit, but I am completely satisfied with the money spent.
Found the same deal for 17 free shipping

That sounds about standard for that package, I think I've seen them for as low as $16 with 2 of everything
I just bought a 2 pack (2 batteries and 2 covers) for $18 with free shipping from Georgia. Hope to get it soon. Should I really expect a short life for this battery?
I bought 2 extra batteries and a wall charger for the battery itself(1). I never run out of juice cuase i always have 2 extra batteries in my car. The items did come from hong kong and was only like 9.7x anyways it was really cheap and works liek a champ as some1 said before. These hong kong items are an american buy

I cannot speak for the extended batteries, but for the Hong Kong knockoffs 1500 mah, in my experience they are just as good as stock.
subscribed for OP's experience with said extendeds
I have 2 sets of extra batts and an extended batt. I rotate every day and it seems to keep the batteries fresh. Plus I don't charge them in my phone so I don't see that loss of 7-8% juice when you unplug.

Thanks for the info. I've got my battery in and used for about 3 days. At first I was worried b/c it drained quick. But I let it drain all the way and then did a full charge and it's running like a champ. I'm going to cycle it one more time as well.
Currently I'm sitting with an uptime of 37 hours and 5 minutes with 35% battery life. This is with my normal use during the work day that consists of texts, some web browsing, phone calls and random games/facebook. Doing this usually requires me to charge my phone at work or it will die pretty soon after being home.
So far It's been a good $20 invested for both my battery and wife's.
I just ordered the Seideio 3500 mah battery from Newegg. I've read nothing but good reviews for that battery, I hope it works out good.
I have been using the "Chi Chi Tech" 2x "1900" mAh batteries & charger from Amazon. I have been using them for about 5 months, swapping them out a couple of times per week and they last just as long as the original 1500mAh battery that came with the EVO, maybe even a little bit longer.
Not a bad deal for $24.

New battery...our just an updated one.

So the original epic battery works...justa lower mph

Is there any 'special' features that the ET battery have over the Infuse? If not then I'm grabbing those 2200mAh batteries that doesn't require a new battery cover.
link ti that 2200mah battery?
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Desi...S2KA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316165653&sr=8-1
Ebay has it cheaper but shipped from HK at $13
If you guys get that 2200 battery, let us know how it is.
I wouldn't get a generic battery. I try to stick with OEM stuff.
I agree with Korey, just because it says it's 2200mah certainly does not mean it is. It's probably just a re-labeled 1800mah.
To me, as long as it last as least the OEM I'll be fine (there's also those 1800mah for like $12 shipped). I don't plan to use these non-OEM for every day use but rather as backup on trips or emergencies.

well i had the same brand backup battery on my evo as a backup and when i first got it, it worked about as well as a standard battery and not quite more than that. then i stopped using the battery for a few months and when i went back to using it, it drained really really fast. i think there the long layoff from not using it may have contributed to it.
www.batteryboss.org has the stats on phone batteries and their actual maH
edit: also while reseaching different Epic batteries on amazon, there are actually different model batteries made for the epic, vibrant, and fascinate. one ends in "YV" and the other "VA". i think its due to different chips in the batteries that affect how they're charged.
I purchased the cheap replacement batteries for my hero a awhile back and the mah are larger but if you read the fine print on both of the batteries the watt hours are different. The new cheap batteries have lower watt hours and there for I found the original and the cheap batteries almost evened out.

there's a couple threads on Anker batteries on here. some people are saying theyre just as good as OEM, maybe a little better.
I bought 1 and it just came in the mail today. Im gonna run it a few days and see how it goes.
also, I was close to buying 3x 2100 mah batteries + wall charger on ebay for like $13, but decided to go with the Anker batteries

Hyperion extended battery for Galaxy s3
I have purchased a Hyperion 4000mah extended battery for the GSIII and I justed received it today. It is the second I purchase with the original being for my Droid Charge and I never had trouble including for the charge the longest it lasted me was 26hrs on a single charge it's the longest I remember and it was the second charge. The important thing is you must follow the instructions, when you first receive it put it on and use it with the charge the battery already has until it completely drains and then charge it for a full 12 hours. For five consecutive times use it til it completely drains and unplug when it reaches a hundred percent and it will last you for a very long time. So far for my extended battery received today it had 67% right out of the package and it has been in use for 8hrs with my wifi on and used moderately and still has 31% power. One more thing, they come with a back cover for the battery and the battery is actually 4200mah 19.99 plus 5.58 shipping and it ships free if you spend and extra 5 bucks on something else. Good luck.

Legit battery seller?

Im looking to get some spare batteries. Ive browsed through amazon quite a bit. And any seller with good deals has barely any reviews if any.... Just wondering if anyone knew a legit place to pick up a few for decent price.

anker batteries are pretty solid.
I got some EzoPower 1800mah batteries from Amazon last month. 3 batteries and charger for under $15 shipped. So far so good with quality and battery life. I was going to get the Anker but they were out of stock so I tried these out.
Ankers are still in stock.

Recommend you get the two battery + charger. Much better deal for $23.99 compared to the single battery for $15.99 .
I got mine when they were on sale for $9.99 .
Sweet battery, definitely is up there with how long it lasts. Daresay it's almost as long as when I had my phone when it was brand new with the fresh OEM battery.

I ordered a used OEM ET4G battery from "MKK Group Inc", it was legit and works great, looks identical to my original OEM battery.
Went to order another, MKK were all out, so I ordered from "Moonlight Express". This battery was too "long" by a few millimetres, it wouldn't fit in the phone, well it maybe COULD fit, but I doubt it would come back out again...
Dunno what version of this device this one goes to, it's SN is THaB1130ZS/5-B, EB625152VA 1800mAh
My original OEMs are SN TH1BC19VS/5-B, EB625152VA 1800 mAh
&
SN TH1C321CS/5-B, EB625152VA 1800 mAh
Also I have 2 dead and bloated batteries with TH1BC15FS/5-B & TH1BB19XS/5-B, so I'm guessing the TH1 series is for our phones and the THa series is for some other slight variant.
That or it's a fake perhaps. In any case I'm returning it, and hoping MKK gets more in. Or maybe just get this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2520mAh-Ext...-II-2-Epic-4G-Touch-D710-Sprint-/271104168282
Edit: Thanks for the tip someguyatx, I'll avoid that one. The 4100mAh Qcell extended battery I ended up getting from Amazon has been amazing.
About the Moonlight Express seller on Amazon- they have great customer service and immediately issued me a full refund, and they haven't even provided me with a shipping label yet. Impressive.

Dont buy the 2520mah battery for 30 bucks. Its almost certainly a fake. There are several on ebay falsely advertised like this.
I ordered these at the end of January:
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Batteries-SPH-D710-Cellular-Multi-purpose/dp/B005HBH1R2/
I got two batteries and the wall charger for $19 and change. Right now it says they're out of stock, but the seller was AnkerDirect. Seemed like a pretty good deal.
No problems whatsoever, and I actually use the wall charger more than I thought. I can rotate the batteries in and out and have a spare for the time being, and will give one to my wife when her battery starts spinning.
I bought an ec technology 1800mah from amazon for 7.99, i just got it yesterday feb 18th, the funny thing the battery was marked feb 1 2013, very fresh cells. So far battery life is steller, highly recommend ec technology.

I would watch what battery you
because most battery gives hardware problems like "Burning up the motherboard" as thats what happened when I bought my last battery. I forgot what it happened
but there was a day that it overheated my phone
And now my whole phone couldnt hold a proper battery charge and charge correctly because something got messed up, lucky i had a warranty as it replaced my phone for free.
Usually sprint told me to "Make sure you buy the battery that has *Samsung* Written in it" you know the stock ones?
Those I recommend getting. I always made sure i bought those and no problems with my phone for a year and 4 months of far
