Introduction:
I saw myself doing nothing, so I said why I don't try to mod my device's camera? Well, I am still experiminting but I said why I don't share my first results with you? This mod is based on the one X original files and only works on deodexed roms for now (Custom ROMs).
Bugs:
- If you couldn't shoot while recording using high bitrate mod, then try again, if it didn't work, just use stock image sizes mod.

- Put it in the device's storage and install it from recovery, as usual.

I installed the sensation mod onto the one x i was getting 29fps @1080p 11mbps-12mbps. 19mbps would be nice just with 29fps.

I've installed it before and I was getting 9 Mbps with 21fps!!!
This might be a dumb question. But, is it only for sense ROM? Will it work on CM 9 Roms?

0 Compression on JPG Images gives higher quality pictures.

Sure, it should be rooted & deodexed (Any custom ROM is deodexed I may add samples later.

That sounds pretty dope! What about image quality in general? And Framerate @ this high Mbps?

I was testing out this mod and after recording it was 42.9199 Mbps in 1080p!!! although the filesize was 542Mb for a 1:45 video Thanks for this mod

Sorry but should be something really related to your custom rom
Other people has at least market problems with that final release and no camera hacks at all. Try to ask in the own rom thread

As Idan73 says, that's firmware related, not to the camera.apk itself. I have it on mine by the way. Try (at your own risk as usual). For me working like a charm:

I just tested ... But i have not noticed any improvement than the original camera.
On your app i set the jpeg quality to ultra,nothing
For the same picture with the original app the size of the picture with your app is smaller (same condition/same object)
Jpeg quality set to Ultra is not expected to reduce the compression?
Same for the video,with your app and bitrate *2:same size
For the video bitrate when you edit the media_profiles.xml by yourself the size of the video is bigger...
Or did not understand the purpose of this application about a quality improvement?

The quality improvement was intended to people who have not edited the media_profiles.xml file.
The app gets the media_profiles.xml for image qualities (low/medium/high). Ultra is a 100 quality.
2x bitrate doubles the media_profiles.xml values (with a max. limit to avoid overflow).
Main work in the app was to make app Honeycomb (Android 3.1) tablets compatible. Now, I can work on global improvements!
Ok,but when i tested your app my media_profiles.xml was stock (no change).
And after set the jpeg quality to Ultra and the video bitrate to *2...my media_profiles.xml has not changed value,always stock
Maybe that's what made that there is no improvement in picture quality,the media_profiles.xml is not changed with your app...
After reboot nothing is changed...
For edit the media_profiles.xml you need root access,your app does not ask for root access,or i am wrong for this?
In any case if i doesn't mount my system as r/w i can't edit the media_profiles.xml.
The app does not change or edit the media_profiles.xml. App only gets the values from this file (as stock camera does) and then uses the selected value on the "improved settings". Tell me if you have more questions or ideas to improve the app. Thanks again!

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1v but that don't work it all, when I start it, it's look like a Picasso =)
can you add
- an option to autofocus before snapping a picture
- option to use Volume button to snap a picture
these are the two most requested for the nexus camera. While autofocusing right before taking a picture doesnt make the nexus camera pic quality perfect, it greatly improves all pictures. I would definitely take that over zero-shutter lag.

Will test, thank you for this. A couple of things: won't download from market if you have modded screen density. Can you add widescreen? Burst shot? Turn on/off auto focus?
Edit: shooting side by side, indoor, poor light conditions, no flash. Stock image usual quality. Your app, same conditions, quality set to ultra, compression artifacts ARE GONE! This is great.

the only downside is bigger file sizes, images and videos. but it shouldn't be a problem

but 10mbps that stock camera is very low for 1080p and videos look highly compressed even with new One series optics, this mod should release the power of One series Camera

Does this mod add new options to choose from in the camera/video recorder settings or just override the highest quality settings when chosen, would be amazing if it adds new options to choose from.

Comparison of similar photo but not exact lighting conditions shows the old photo to be 2.15MB and the new one post mod to be 2.66MB. Not too much of a size increase in my simple test. Not very scientific but good enough for me...

On stock JB Sense Camera, recording seems more smooth and fluid. But hard to tell since I didnt do real testing yet.

Before installing
If you have installed an update of Oneplus Camera before, you have to understand that the update is "above" the original system application. Because my mod replace the original system application, you will never see a difference because the current app will be the updated app and not the system app.
To remove the update, go into the App Info of Oneplus Camera, press the tree dots in the top right and press "Uninstall Updates". (thanks to @Im_Mattgame for this easier way)

Thank you, Magisk's one works fine and smooth But, as all the others apk releases after the official update (OOS 4.5.14), this camera hasn't electronic image stabilization in videos, sadly. Can you make a modded version of the camera from 4.5.14 update? Would appreciate a lot, thanks man!

Firstly, thank you for the mod
I'd like to see some sample shots. Does 5% really make a huge difference, even on a 100% zoom level? If it's anything like Photoshop's Quality Setting, 5% has just resulted in higher file size but minimal to no increase in quality.
