[ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies - Maguro - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Team EOSJB 4.1.1 MaguroNIGHTLIES
Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. For the latest news on Team EOS releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #teameos.

NOTE: Team EOS, it’s members, friends, dogs, cats, and associates are in no way responsible for any loss of data or device functionality. Use this at your own risk!
--
A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated every now and then, and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository. While every effort is made ensure that the commits that are accepted are stable and do not have a negative impact to the overall performance and function of the builds it is not possible to test every aspect of a commits impact to the overall repo prior to it’s inclusion in a given build. As a result it is entirely possible that instabilities may be introduced as a result of a given days commits. That is the nature of the nightly system, and the risk that is taken using the latest code changes to the project.
EOS is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.

G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Temporary Gapps package gapps

Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving, we do not provide a change log manually. Instead please see the changes on jenkins for your build.

Kernel:
Kernel Note: This rom is currently using the stock kernel, so you can find the sources from aosp.
--
Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery.
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS or JB based rom.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.

use "notification toggle" from play market. it is a good substitute.
my only show-stopper would be a full sized navbar. customization or fix high on 36dip or 32dip would be nice!

Team EOS XOOMICS 4.0.4 Wingray MZ604NIGHTLIES
Welcome to the evolution of TiamatXOOM.
With the AOSP release of Android 4.0 begins the next dawn of the Android operating system. And with this release comes Team EOS, the natural evolution of the TiamatXOOM development team.
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. The launching point for this development effort is the Motorola XOOM.
For the latest news on Team EOS Xoom releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #xoom.

A quick note on Nightlies: NIGHTLIES ARE DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. They are automatically generated once every 24 hours and represent the compilation of the latest commits to the code repository.

G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:
Use the latest available gapps package available from http://goo.im/gapps
*Note - You will need to re-flash G-Apps after you flash an updated nightly build. You can do this before you reboot after the installation of a new nightly.
Also note that if you are coming from an earlier G-Apps package you will need to wipe prior to installation of this package in order to avoid FC issues.

Current Known Issues:
This builds is only for the MZ604 Wingray (WiFi XOOM) It does not support data on any GSM or 3G only Xoom
Features:
Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving. Change logs are generally generated on a daily basis.
Change logs can be viewed at http://nightlies.teameos.org/changelogs/

Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery (Solarnz R4c, Rogue, Clockwork)
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY Honeycomb based rom (this includes all Tiamat roms)
Please note that due to fundamental changes Google has made to the way Android works there are certain issues that cannot be resolved without additional components from Google and the hardware manufacturers.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.
FEATURE REQUESTS!
We need YOU, yes YOU to help us build the best AOSP rom out there. Have an idea for a feature you want to see implemented then let us know!
Team EOS Feature Request
Changing the Stock Motorola Dual Core Boot Logo Splash Screen:
While not a necessary feature of the Team EOS ICS builds make sure you check out the Team EOS Motorola Xoom Boot splash utility in the Android Market:
EOS Motorola Xoom Boot Splash
Want to contribute to the Eos rom? Well you can!
Just follow http://teameos.org/?page_id=6 to checkout our source code, and information on how to submit changes for review.
Welcome to the XOOM evolved. Welcome to Team EOS.
For the latest news on Team EOS Xoom releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #xoom.
Please note that due to fundamental changes Google has made to the way Android works there are certain issues that cannot be resolved without additional components from Google and the hardware manufacturers.
Also a note on 3G/4G Xooms- You can infact flash and install this rom on 3G/4G xooms. You will not however be able to use the 3G/4G radio. There are new basebands that are needed in order for the 3G/4G radios to be able to communicate with the RIL and until these updated basebands are released we are in a holding pattern for radio connectivity.
Also there are sporadic reports of HDMI partly functioning. Full HDMI functionality is dependent on additional proprietary binaries that Google has not been able to release yet due to licensing issues.
Also, please note that while the current builds are proving to be very stable, and for users that do not use their cellular radio they can be used as a daily driver these are still nightly builds and are subject to constant development. If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors logcats are greatly appreciated as it makes it much easier to track down issues.
Thank you all for your support!
*Updated G-Apps Package*
The developers working on CM9 have released an updated G-Apps package for 4.0.3 AOSP based builds
New version is 4.0.3 V8
A Special Thanks goes out to gpstar this G-Apps build
Download: http://www.multiupload.com/54DD4VIXZ6
MD5: 4a6a7543b025a17f9536eccc4e5afc17
*Note - Because of changes made to the G-Apps package a wipe will be required if installing this version of G-Apps over a previous G-Apps package in order to avoid FC issues. This version of G-Apps appears to address some of the communications issues that have been plaguing Google services on AOSP builds.
Bug Reporting:
As you test out the platform and you discover bugs please report them to:
https://bugs.teameos.org/
A couple of notes about bug reporting. If it is an application issue (IE a particular game generates FC errors) please do not report it. There is nothing that we can do about specific application issues.
If you do report an error please, Please, PLEASE include logcats showing the errors. It is often time difficult if not impossible to replicate errors and logcats make resolving issues much much easier. Please feel free to add the logcats as attachments to the bug report.
Thank you again for your continued support of Team EOS!
I can say from personal experience that this ICS Rom is working beautifully. Yes, there are a few bits missing but it's clear that this is taking the Xoom to another level, altogether.
Cudos to Team EOS for taking this step. I can't wait for the next nightly.

Since I have no idea what rom that is the answer is yes. The only time you do not need a wipe is if you are coming from a factory OTA. Generally speaking all custom roms will require a wipe prior to install.
Did you have to reflash gapps and also will the su root file from razorbladex's rom conflict with this rom because I'm supposing this comes with root I just wanted to know if the two root files would conflict?

That's the original Xoom ics rom posted a few days ago here on xda by member razorbladex.
Again, since I have no way of knowing anything about razorbladex's ICS rom as I have never flashed it my inclination is to tell you to wipe first to ensure there are no residual or unforeseen conflicts. With that said, what you choose to do is up to you.
When you flash a new rom /system gets overwritten which includes the su binary so this is a non-issue. This build includes the latest changes to the su binary.

Because you clearly have no cell network signal! Mine has it too. Give it a while: ICS roms are new and have yet to be extensively tweaked for little details like this.

Both play content. Navigating Netflix isn't the smoothest.
It's because these builds are essentially ready for 3G/4G connectivity. However for the time being the cellular radio icon will show regardless of if you have a stingray(3g/4g) or wingray(wifi) board. This will be addressed once we have the necessary components to bring life to the cellular radios.

Can we assume that further updates will be flashable over this ROM without wiping ?

[KANG/UNOFFICIAL][NIGHTLY] iNFINITYCM [Updated: 12.04.2012]

ABOUT THIS ROM:
This is a KANG/UNOFFICIAL CM9 version built from CM9 sources. It has some cherry-picks from Gerrit, that I find interesting and enhance the rom to be better feature wise.
I will be doing builds on daily basis (mostly on morning EU time), atleast until CM starts to rollout nightlies on normal schedule.
As I said in the beginning, this is purely been a learning experience to work with Android source and building it from the scratch.
I might be doing something completely different (own rom based on something) when I have gained more experience. If you are interested to start something, pm and let's see if we can get something out of it
WHY??
I know there are many many many CM9 roms/kangs floating around, so why did I post this? For a simple reason: It has been a learning experience for me to work with source and building android. This is my first complete android build, and I find CM9 to be a good starting point.
INCLUDED IN THIS ROM (Basic features):
- Synced to cm9 repo today 12.4.2012
- Includes all the CM9 features that have been merged until now
- Includes few cherry picks from Gerrit (see list below)
- Default CM based kernel
- The default CM9 bells and whistles
CHERRY-PICKS from CM Gerrit
- AudioManager: Handle KEYCODE_VOLUME_MUTE
- Settings: Notification light(LED) settings
- NavigationBar : Customization+ Settings
- Make the flash off indicator visible
- Makes network mode toggle work. Port from CM7.
- camera: allow setting parameter "video-size" before recording starts
- MMS: Make notifications consistent with the Gapps'.
- Phone: Disable accelerometer sensor while in-call and screen UI is off
- Fix don't interrupt ongoing PIN/PUK verification
Install instructions (first install):
1) Download zip to your phone
2) Also download GAPPS from http://goo.im/gapps
3) Boot to CWM
4) DO A FULL WIPE IN RECOVERY (a must if you are coming from another rom)
5) Flash the ROM .zip
6) Flash GAPPS .zip
7) Reboot
8) PROFIT???
About updating:
It should be safe to do "dirty flashes" between builds, unless I say otherwise. But ofcourse if you run to problems between builds, do a wipe first (use f.ex TiBu to backup apps) and try again. It's always possible that some feature gets broken or some cherry-pick ****s up things....but hey these are nightlies right?
To users/flashers
It would be nice if you could test this, and if you have some features found on Gerrit what you would like to see implemented, just post here and I'll check it out and maybe include it in the next build
I honour all feedback from you guys..the more the better so I can learn more.

Downloloading now! I've been a very happy AOKP user but I've been dying to try out CM9, I just wanted to wait until they were officially "Stable" (even though I know the nightlies have been solid).
Ah nice. Good to see it finally made it to RC status. JellyBean is just around the corner now though.
Just Voided my warranty with this. Now my refrigerator is 10 degrees warmer inside and all my ice cream just melted. Anyone else having this issue? Otherwise ROM is great!
Thanks!
Just made the switch tot CM9. Came from AOKP.
Always used CM on my N1. But when I got my GN I saw that AOKP was much more popular. But now with CM9 I'm just as happy as the good old N1 time.
(I really hated the unicorn stuff on AOKP..little bit immature if you ask me)
I didnt notice much speed or battery life differences. Will post my opinion later this week.
Thnx Cyanogen

Great release! Looking forward to additional CM9 contributions being made. Switched from AOKP as well, so far so good... only feature I really miss is resizing the navigation bar.

Ya but are all the features/options found in AOKP are in the CM9? For example, weather on lockscreen, different choices for status bar drop down toggles etc? Last time I tried CM9 I found it stock and not to my liking. I like customizations like AOKP has.
I found out later that the unicorn was considered cool by others so it didn't bother me as much and once I installed franco kernel, I typically replaced the boot animation with franco's...
nice, give it a try...
and yeah, the rainbow unicorn is definitely uncool and the biggest problem of aokp!
Coming from nightlys, should we wipe everything then flash or can we flash over the last nightly? Thanks in advanced

You can always flash a different boot screen, it takes all of a second to do and if you use TWRP you can just chain the boot screen. I didn't care much for the unicorn, but I dont't think much of CID either.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say that officially you should wipe and start afresh, but feel free to just flash over the top - just don't expect much support if you run into issues.

About the toggles. I really liked the AOKP ones, more ICS like. But... They take up all lot of space. You can simply press to hide but I like them to be there quickly..

Weather on lockscreen is there. Status bar drop downs.. there. Lock screen customizations, etc.
Many of the features from AOKP are in CM9 (with the recent versions of AOKP they're actually implementing features FROM CM9 into their ROM).
Such as their kernel, GNParts, AOKPStats, and a bunch of other features.
Try the ROM, just make a nandroid backup beforehand.. if you don't like it. Swap back. Like I said, only feature I REALLY miss is resizing the navigation bar to a smaller size.
I liked AOKP but I had a large number of problems with the ROM, my main issue was that it was being bloated with more and more unnecessary features.
AOKPtips.apk, swagpapers, etc.... basically unnecessary things like that. They all add up and build up to become a very bloated ROM. Not to mention again, they've started to add features from CM9 into their ROM which made it even worse. CM9 is more simplistic but still very customizable to use.

[ROM][CM10] CyanogenMod 9.0 KalimAz build 9.0 & CM10

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

Kernel is based on 4.1 and merged with all the CM kernel features.
ROM is based on ics with few additions from jellybean.
As soon as I have more sources I will implement more from jellybean.

Thanks.
I will try to do the same as I am doing in nexus S. Maenwhile maintaining Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus on CM I will also make some intermediate releases like the nightbuilds but fully tested by my testers so you can have some early stages of all we are doing at CM.

np, thanks
great work bro!
will test
I got a few questions though:
1) which features did you merge in from jb?
2) why should we use the 20120317 gapps and not the latest (20120429) ?
Keep going!

1.- this is not fully jb build. When we see all the code will be the moment to decide if this will be an extension of cm9 or a new version, not I can't really tell you what will be.
2.-If you ask for how to build yourself cm9, this is the manual: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Galaxy_Nexus_(GSM):_Compile_CyanogenMod_(Linux)

I also enjoyed your work on the Nexus S. Glad to see you here.
I have something weird going on. I'm running JB stock and I can view the 2nd page of this thread but not the first. Tapatalk will force close. No other threads do this on any other page. Could someone post the link to the download or loads of this ROM on page 2 or 3 so I can download it. My computer is at work and I want to try this one

[ROM][JB] Team EOS 3 *JELLYBEAN* Nightlies - Wingray / MZ604 / WIFI ONLY

Team EOS XOOMJB 4.1.1 Wingray MZ604NIGHTLIES
Continuing on from the success of the EOS ICS roms, we present to you EOS3, based on JELLYBEAN!
It is the goal of Team EOS to develop and maintain the highest performing and most stable AOSP based rom for an array of platforms. The launching point for this development effort is the Motorola XOOM.
For the latest news on Team EOS Xoom releases make sure you follow @teameos on twitter and on IRC on Freenode in #xoom.

EOS Xoom is an AOSP based rom. It is developed and maintained by Team EOS and is the culmination of our own in house development efforts.
Team EOS Xoom Nightly builds: http://goo-inside.me/devs/teameos/roms/eos3/nightlies/wingray/
G-Apps Package
Because this is an AOSP based rom Google Apps are not included in the base rom. To install Google Apps please flash the following package after installing the base rom:

--

Because these are nightly builds the included features are constantly evolving, we do not provide a change log manually. Instead please see the changes on jenkins for your build.
For the most up to date and comprehensive listing of the changes included in this rom please visit http://review.teameos.org
Kernel:
Tiamat ICS Xoom kernel
Support for OC;Under/Overvolt
Governors: lagfree, interactive, conservative, ondemand, userspace, performance
Kernel Note: In compliance with GPL kernel source can be found at: https://github.com/solarnz/Tiamat-Xoom
--
Installation Notes:
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery (Solarnz R4c, Rogue, Clockwork)
Perform a full wipe (read Factory Reset) prior to installing this over ANY ICS based rom.
BUGS!
If you find strange or otherwise unexplained errors please report them here: https://bugs.teameos.org/ Please include logcats and as thorough a description of the issue and what lead up to the issue as possible. With out this we will be unable to track down these errors.
Sweet checking it out now guess I will have to dust my Xoom off, my galaxy note has been keeping me away from my Xoom.
Waiting for stingray version, will it drop tonight?

Umts_everest support will take longer than stingray and stingray_cdma. This is because no members of the team have this device.

Goo is running very slowly today and will likely for the next few days, everyone and there mothers are posting new builds and a lot of devs use goo, so everyone, their moms x100+ and downloading new JB roms download to your PC for best results, very slow download speeds tend to timeout threw the goo app and threw mobile browsers,

All good mate. I appreciate the fact that it is worked on at all.
If you need a private tester let me know.
Also, I have a Leaseweb seedbox - happy to provide FTP space if that helps?
Just tried this. Booted up fine, still testing some stuff. Out of the bat, Youtube is missing from the Play Store for some reason.
Just installed it over milestone 6 AOKP, so didin't wipe. Flashed the latest gapps that was just posted from the dropbox link and everything seems to work brilliant.
Minor problem: but sometimes the icon names dissapear for no reason and come back later when opening the drawer. I'm using the latest Nova launcher, so that could be causing it. Very minor problem anyways. EDIT: yeah it's nova causing it. But that's expected from running ics apps on JB.
Awesome work anyways! Will report bugs iif I find some on the way...
EDIT: Voice commands work actually. It didn't at first but i think some app rebooted and now it works. EDIT: but it doesn't seem to stop when i'm done askng something. Weird.
And as reported above, youtube app is missing.
I seem to be having issues with installing this over the most recent ICS nightly. Do I need to factory restore? Don't mind doing it, just not sure if it will make the file open. Keep gettimg "E:Can't open /sdcard/Eos-wingray-2012-07-10.18.08-115.zip". MD5 sum checks out too.

Rename the zip to something shorter, like eos3-jb-n1.zip and try that.
Sometimes long filenames don't do so well.
EOS 2.0 @ MZ604 [XDA-HD]
Stock @ SGH-I717R [XDA-Premium]
Downloaded and all seems fine so far. Any chance we will get the Google now features like on the galaxy nexus?
Edit: calendar sync doesn't seem to work, and isn't an option in account settings
Just installed, and so far so good. Thanks to our amazing devs. For ****s sake, source code was just dropped last night and we already have a fully functioning ROM. Thanks again
