How to enable 3G on TMobile AWS 1700MHz for ATT Galaxy S3 i747 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Thanks to TMOKIETH: i747 ATT version is now working on AWS 3G T-Mobile: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40121505#post40121505.
Please let me know if there are any more mirrors, or if a mirror stops working. Download files & Instructions from.

Canadian S3 i747M is NOT working permanently on AWS 3G at this time. Changes are lost on restart. Kind of like a tethered iPhone. If you would like to try it, please see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36410875&postcount=197

I'm just curious. What is the advantage of having 3g on that frequency? Better reception and service?
Thanks

So you can use it on t mobile.
My question is, why not just buy a T-Mobile version if that's what you need. :scratches head:

Means some people are saying its not possible to do... I am still optomistic but from reading different threads I was informed that there is a difference of hardware which would make it impossible to make i747m work with tmobile 3g.

Your IMEI is your phone's ID number to the network. No IMEI = goodbye connectivity to ATT/Tmobile/etc. Your phone just lost it's 2g/3g/4g capabilities. In the world of Apple, it's like your iphone turning into an ipod touch.

more bluntly, a phone without an IMEI won't get served a signal by AT&T, as posted earlier by someone else if you had read the topic. And what's a phone without a data OR voice connection.

No, Samsung phones from way back have had a history of corruption of the EFS partition/file/whatever.
This happened to me with my captivate a few years ago the only way to fix it was to send it to Samsung for a factory firmware reflash.

Find my mobile.

Find my mobile is like the popular find my iPhone for Apple devices except for our note 2's. I have a problem though... Apparently not supported on the ATT note? Makes no sense as its supported by the Canadian version. Here's a screen shot of the Samsung website. Anyone got it on there att phones or know how to do it? Thanks!

No idea on compatability for that application.
However. ..if a user was rooted, and either used a Canadian variant build, or set the build.prop to emulate a Canadian device it might just work. ..g

Galaxy Tools?

Does anyone know where I can get The app Galaxy Tools? I used to have the app with the 3.1.8 update app but my SD card got corrupted and I had to Format it. I know that development was halted and the link removed, but I can't even find anything about the developer to see if he still excepts donations/payment for it. If someone can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. I used it mostly to get My MSL Code and enable all Notification Toggles.
