I get it, ""this card comes back after. . . " - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So anyone know how to turn this message off? I swipe away a weather card, for example, and this message comes up "this card comes back after. . . ". I figure after one or two times this message will stop appearing but it comes up but after almost every card? O.K. I get it, it will come back. Now does anyone know how to turn this message off?
Thanks.

I don't know, but let me just say I wish the white pop up button said "Now" instead of "Google". That would be so much cooler than just the company name, and I think would engage more people with it.

Problems Closing The Phone App

Hello,
First when I hit 'View' to view missed calls, it goes into them, and then I hit X to exit and it takes me to the phone app. Anyway to avoid this?
I like how microsoft just assumes things for us like 'well hes viewing missed calls so he must want to call them back right away'.. absurdity.
My biggest problem though is when I am IN the phone app the X button will not close the app. To get out I have to hit the Red END button, which only minimizes the phone app and that remains in my top taskbar
which is very annoying as the only way to get rid of it is a softreset.
Then if I get another missed call.. back into the phone app.. red button.. now 2 phone apps running.
Any ideas?
I think the missed call screen is a dialog running from and ontop of the phone app, thus it's one app. Closing the phone app itself is only marginally useful, it saves a few 100k of memory, but causes a crash if you try to dial a contact from Contacts.
However, if you must close it, on my site I've got VJTogglePhone (I think) which closes the phone properly, and VJOkButt will also close or minimise it by choice, and do some other stuff.

Youre a genius! thanks!

[Q] No text alert....

When I am in a text conversation my dinc will not sound an alert if I leave the conversation open. I only get a new alert sound if I close the coversation. Does anyone know how to change this so that I get an alert? Is this suppose to be this way? Is this a bug?
Mine is the same way, so I just got used to exiting out of the conversation. If there is a fix that would be sweet!!
Its that way because its like being in a chat with someone. Why would you need it to make a sound if your looking right at the screen in the middle of a chat? I'm sure way more people would complain if it was like that.
I think if you just turn the screen off on your phone it will make a sound even if you dont exit out.
I would not want it to make a sound if im staring right at the screen talking back and fourth with someone. The only timei would want it to make a sound is if i wasnt in conversation and needed to be alerted that someone texted me or if my screen was off. Wich is exactly how it works.
Just me
I do agree that I wouldn't want an alert every time if I was staring at the screen through the whole conversation.
even if I turn the screen off it doesn't give an alert. That would be a good solution.
But, the best thing for me would be if there was a toggle to make it alert me every time, as I usually don't stay still and text very often. I will send a text and set the phone down, or put in pocket, or holster...then continue what I was doing until I hear an alert. That is what works for me.
the issue is when I don't back out of the text app and start doing something else and I receive a text from that same person, it won't sound an alert. Screen on or off.
I'm definitely not trying to say that the app or the phone sucks. Just asking if there was a way to alleviate the issue I am describing. Or maybe there was an app, or a rom that might do what I am talking about .
******edit....just did a test. Tonight my dinc would alert me if the screen was off, and I left the conversation open. I'm pretty sure it didn't do this before. Or at least at times it wouldn't do this. Maybe it didn't alert me before because the other person actually responded before the screen turned off...or maybe I just didn't hear it...lol...either way, for my purpose it would be nice for my purposes if there was a toggle to change this.
Thanks,
Jon

I had the same issue before if I left the conversation open and the screen was off and it wouldn't alert me at all. I haven't checked this out as of recent because I got so used to just going to the home screen after I sent a text. I'll check and see if it works now.
this "problem" has every now then started very minor communication arguments with the gf. it sometimes makes me look like a damn fool.

About screen turn off and on problem

Hi,
I am using Note II, stock ROM and unrooted....Only install a few apps like facebook, line, whatapps, viber, candy crush.....everything works fine....
I found a problem and hope friends here can give me some advices...
My screen turn off during answering call but sometimes the screen won't turn back on automatically when I move the phone away from ear....I have tried the following when the screen remains off:
a) open and close the flip cover
b) move the finger to cover the censor and then move away
c) shake the phone up and down
d) turn the phone back and front
All the above actions failed to turn the screen on..I have to press the home button in order to turn it on..
I already check the censor in #*0*# mode and the censor works well...
I am wondering why sometimes can work, sometimes cannot work..
anybody facing the same problem? is it software bugs or hardware failure?
Thanks for help!!
P/S:
I have done censor test in development mode, factory reset and clear call cache.....
Don't know why sometimes still failed to turn screen on....every time my wife complain the screen won't turn on, i told her to dial again, like to those customer service line which need to key-in menu selection 1-2-3-4-5, the screen turn on well to let her key in number....wired....
maybe like 70% success 30% fails...
i also get this most of the time. i talked to 2 reps at local stores and 1 had just recently heard the same complaint about the same phone. it is likely the proximity sensor.my screen even goes dark before i put it to my face so if i wanted to use speaker and / or input anything, i couldnt even if i wanted to. i have had to wait a whole minute a few times before the screen comes back on or reboot the phone. i talke to samsung tech support to ask if i send it in will the sensor be replaced with a known good part and i kinda got the runaround stock answer . ( theyll test and fix or replace with refurb) which means i am likely to get the same issue.
dunno, otherwise great device.

Clip Tray automatically closing in a second.

http://sendvid.com/isz0gdq1
Whenever I copy/paste something, the clip tray shows up as usual but closes automatically in a second. Even pressing the arrow key doesn't keep it open. So I can't manage my clipboard.
Note : I recently downgraded from MM to LP & rooted the phone. I also factory reset it but the problem persists.

I think that's how it's supposed to work.
Later, when you hold the cursor and it shows you the 'CUT COPY PASTE' options, you can see the 3 dots menu to the right. Inside that menu there is the option 'CLIP TRAY' to bring it up and let you choose whatever from history.
I hate talking like this but plz don't be an idiot. I never had this issue before I downgraded to LP so I know how it's supposed to be. Also for the record, tapping the clip tray option doesn't do anything.
I suggest u take a look at the link.

The link you provided has pop-ups that are reported as malware sites by Firefox and drives people away from it.
The clip tray appearing and closing when you copy something IS the normal behavior, and that is in order to not take screen real estate. If you want to keep it open you have to press the 'pin' button. That's the normal behavior on marshmallow.
As for your out-of-nowhere attitude towards someone who took the time to answer without insulting you in any way, it is obvious you need to seek professional help.
I suggest you do that.

Huawei P20 lite Self care service.

Hi, I am new to Android, this is my first phone.
Whenever I click the start button I always get a message 'Self care settings, self care settings is running in the background'
I cant find any information on Self care. It does give me the option to turn it on and off but this has no impact on the message on home screen.
Can anyone tell me what it is and how to stop the message appearing?
Cheers
Doug
