Microphone sensitivity in video camera - HTC One X

Is there any way, either through a mod or app, to adjust the sensitivity or pick up of the microphone in video camera mode on the HOX? I was filming some bands last night and the picture quality was great, but the sound was pretty bad. The stereo microphone setting was even worse. Any tips appreciated.

+1
increasing audio quality is important as well as video. I am waiting some devs realize it and working to make our HOX better.

+1!!
Sometimes I just watch my videos on mute because of the lack of bass

Ultra sensitive microphone as I've noticed too
on xda for android and mistyping like a boss

I found an app called Voodoo Sound on the market, which has this setting for microphones:

Unfortunately it doesn't currently support my kernel or the HOX in general. Have emailed the developer to add our device. Looks interesting.

A good and small 3.5mm jack external speaker?

Hi, I've searched but haven't found anything of what I have in mind...
I was looking for a small, plug-in external speaker that could a bit more of out-put than the built-in speaker on the back. I find it very quite and doesn't perform as nearly as loud as the inbuilt speaker on my old Samsung Galaxy S.
Now, I know about those little balls that look like an hamburger and all that but they are too big. I was looking for something substantially smaller that could be put on a pocket and forgot about it. Say, the size of a lighter or USB pen? I'm not looking for a massive performance, just something a bit louder than the HOX speaker and similar to what I had on the Galaxy.
I found these two things...

...both from China and the first costs US$2 shipped, the second around US$4 shipped... so I'm guessing the quality to be terrible. Not a big loss if I try it though...
Anyway, what is there and what can you recommend?
Cheers!
Edit: This would be nice if it was smaller...

Is that a microphone near the IR port, and is it accessible?

Hi all,
I have a D850, running 5.0.1 (AT&T D85021I), and I can not get the "rear" (located on the top edge) microphone to work, if that is what it is.
I have tried a number of sound recording apps and the standard LG camera app in video mode, selected "rear", selected "stereo" and I only get audio from the bottom microphone.
Has anyone managed to record sound from the top of the phone, or stereo?
In fact it is, but it's just used for noise cancellation.
That is something I suspected. Do you have a reference for that, or is it a hunch?

No media output through speaker [RROS 5.8.5 capricorn]

Hi there,
First of all, I am somewhat of a noob so please pardon my ignorance.
I am using an Mi 5S device (3GB/64GB version).
I few days ago I successfully flashed RR v5.8.5 20171011.
Android version 7.1.2
Kernel version:
3.18.31-g1bb0006ffa4
[email protected] #1
The issue:
Sound output through the earpiece is fine.
I get all sorts of output when I plug in my earphones.
But I strictly do not get any "media" sound output through my phone speakers.
For example, if I play a song there is no output through the phone speaker.
Or, if I'm watching a video on youtube there is no sound unless I plug in my earphones.
But the phone speaker seems to work fine during calls. I can use loud speaker when calling anyone using the dialer or when calling someone on Facebook messenger.
Please provide a detailed step-by-step solution for this as I am a bit of a noob as I've mentioned earlier.
Thanks!

My problem in next:
At android device sound is ok.
At Music Player device too.
But at laptop with Windows10 the sound quality is very poor, sounds like a plastic one.
My topic about searching for owners of the earbuds and asking them for their settings which they like and for what model to improve sound quality.
To be clear I'm looking for Equalizer APO settings, or just .irs files for hje118 and hje125 (own both).
So, if summarize:
1. If you are owner of Panasonic HJE-118 or HJE-125 please share your experience how are you improve the sound in these earbuds?
2. If you think, the sound out the box is ok in these earbuds, sorry, i'm not agree with you, and impulse file greatly increase sound quality from poor chinese 1$ headphones to the price what they cost.

I have no such problem when recording videos. How about sharing the video with the noise?

I'm getting the same thing. Filmed in a complete quiet room, it sounds a little like the ocean, and it begins to fade out around 8 seconds.
I can't post a link to a video though, as this is my first post.
