Elago Breath Cases GS3 White & Blue pictured on white GS3 - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hey guys I ordered two Elago Breathe Cases for the GS3 from Amazon. I purchased the Glossy White as well as a blue called Glossy Coral. They cost $9.99 each and since I have prime I got two day shipping for free. Here is the direct link for the cases for the GS3:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&seller=A23S71QXDZCPQA
I purchased the white one for myself and the blue one for my girlfriend. The cases are very thin and sleek. They feel great in the hand and do not add extra bulk to the phone. The top and bottom of the case is open so you wont get overall protection there, so be careful when handling it and not dropping it. There is a slight lip, but I don't think that it will keep the phone raised up enough off a surface if you lay the phone flat on the screen side. I would definitely recommend putting a screen protector on to be combined with this case. I had already purchased a screen protector the day I picked up the phone from the store, however Elago actually sells the case together with a screen protector from amazon as well. The prices for the two combined are $24.99, and the screen protectors from Elago are $8.99 alone. There are cut outs on the sides for the power button and the volume rocker. I feel that the cut outs aren't recessed enough, and your made aware of it however it does not bother me too much. Overall I am very happy with the cases especially for the price. I would definitely buy from Elago again, and I do like the variety of colors that they offer the cases in. I like the Breathe style because they are different than all of these other snap on thin cases and make the phone stand out more. I took some pics from various angles with both cases on the phone and off the phone with my dslr so you guys can take a look for yourselves.

nice review. how well does the phone stay in the case though? i've been hesitant with snap on cases because i'm afraid the phone will come out of it.

are they grippy or are they still really smooth? I am planning on getting a case only because the phone is so smooth i know i'm going to drop it eventually.
It's a great looking case though!

Thanks! The phone is snug within the case. It hasn't come out of the phone. It fell earlier today, and the case popped off but i've had that happen with other cases though. When it fell, there was not damage to the phone. THANK GOD! LOL.

It is smooth but I feel like the perforated holes add grip while your hands are holding it. I used it all day yesterday and today so far and haven't slip because of it being too smooth.

I was hoping that the official vent case for the GS3 looked like the official case for the GS2 but they screwed the look up pretty badly. This one looks good but it needs that flashy silver plaque. Haha.
Although I felt the same way about the actual phone itself but the GS3 grew on me and is now the best looking phone ever. Maybe that official vent case will grow on me as well.

Had an elago s4 on my iPhone. Best case I ever had. Thanks for the review!

Actually it doesn't. I lay mines everywhere whole I'm at work and cat home and I haven't gotten anything in the holes yet. Plus the white hasn't gotten dirty yet neither. Very impressed with the case so far. I would definitely buy more from them.

As you guys get your cases you should post some pics. It would be nice to see the true colors of the cases against the true colors of the phones.

Thanks! used to have these for my old iPhone3G nice to see they're on sale now for my s3.
By the way for those of you worried that the case is slippery there's a soft feel version they sell as well that doesn't have the glossy back and has more a rubbery feel like a tpu case.

Fishbone Case Question

I have read the reviews on this case for other phones but I was wondering if anyone has one on their SII. I'm mostly worried about how it works with an Invisible Shield screen protector. Many cases bubble it up.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Samsung-T989-Hercules-Natural-Turquoise-Fishbone-Accessory-Case-Cover-/330646897364?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4cfc1742d4#ht_2390wt_1139
I got one in my stocking for Christmas.
I really like it. Buttons are very easy to push..feels great in my hands and the case itself is an excellent fit.
Doesn't make my screen protector bubble up or anything.

Would you say it provides a good amount of protection, especially around the edges?
Yes a fair amount...it covers up the edges nicely... will your phone survive a 15ft fall? Probably not..but a normal out of pocket or off lap it will do just fine.
My only complaint so far is it is a lint magnet... haha
But looks stellar with my theme too
I'm happy with it overall.

*gasp* That is so cool! Thanks for posting the link, I just ordered a purple one
Ive had my white one for about 3 weeks now and have dropped mine a couple of times from about bathroom sink high i dont have nary a scratch on it! Only thing i would say is get a much better Screen protector for it other than the one that comes with the case. Now All it needs now is replacement shells without having to purchase a hole new case so you can change colors!
To the owners of this case:
What is the quality of the rubber? Is it a cheap flimsy feeling or a harder solid rubber?
Does anyone notice their phone getting unusually warm with this case on when in use?
I got a blue one , i personally love this case i mean for 9 bucks i dont think you can go wrong, the rubber isnt the best grade but thats why i got rid of my D30 case because it was to hard and pushing the buttons was a pain in the ass. I think for price you cant go wrong here....and i havent noticed my phone getting warm with normal use
I have this case and what I have noticed is that it causes your phone to echo. When my friends call me, they always complain that they can hear themselves talking. The echo disappears when I take off the case.

Odd, never had this issue myself - I have 3 of these cases. 1 for me, 2 for the G-friend, they work great - the inner rubber is flimsy but the plastic part firms it up enough. Its a daily driver, just dont expect otter box or trident grade here.
I retired my Fishbone for the Seidio I got for Christmas
I have one and love it. Fits great, really seems to protect it well. WELL worth the money.

Got mine today & while I like it, it seems to suffer from the same flimsy sides-syndrome as the Incipio case. Also, I ordered the purple one but apparently their interpretation of purple is hot pink. I HATE pink. This happens way too often, I'm just gonna start ordering blue from now on >:[
If you actually got the wrong color, contact them. I ordered white and got black, and they refunded like half of money.

These cases look pretty sweet, i may take a shot at one
I love the way it looks, Only thing that concerns me is the Lint Magnet...I work in a dusty factory.. -_-
I've got this one. I like it. The rubber is really "squishy" which makes buttons easy to push (unlike previous cases I've gotten), while the fishbone keeps the shock absorbing rubber in place and then provides good physical protection. Then there is the aspect of how cool it looks.

or don't get something as useless as a screen protector. send me the money you waste on it please. Many thanks. Screen protectors.........sigh.....please.
I got mine two days ago and the next day I ordered a Trident Aegis case. The Fishbone looks cool, no doubt about it. It's also hard to go wrong with a case that you can buy for $3.90 on Amazon. However, the silicone is loose on the sides and I'm disappointed that because the plastic shell doesn't wrap around the sides except for the corners, the middle of the plastic is not securely attached. When I talk on the phone it pulls very easily. I'll keep it as a backup, but I don't want to use it as a daily.
I had a Fishbone Case for my Epic 4g and my Evo 4g. Loved them both. I was always sad there wasn't one for the NS but now I have one for my SGS2 and just as great. I love them because they are freaking cheap (paid $5 shipped from amazon) and they look fantastic. I've never had a problem with protection either since they are soft gel it basically absorbs drops (not huge ones, obviously) very well. Also, given that I have full ghost armor on the phone it still fits perfectly where as my d30 didn't.
So I took Telekinetic's advice & contacted the seller, and they're replacing the pink fishbone with this case. It's not a fishbone, but it looks awesome & the design promises to solve the floppy sides problem.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Mobile-Sa...675410?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item45ffe0f192
This seller is really awesome BTW, very nice, very accomodating, and they're not even making me send the original case back

Trident Aegis- Best Case Available

Honestly, this is the best case for the E4GT:
http://www.tridenteer.com/categories/Samsung-Epic-4G-Touch/
Available for $20 on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Touch...PACW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327710501&sr=8-1
Its a 2 piece silicone/hard plastic. Perfect snug fit. In fact I messed up my nails trying to take it off to change my screen protector. Not tacky to the touch; slides into pocket no problem. Comes with a clear screen protector. Has covers for the usb and headphone ports.
The side buttons are even easier to press since they stick out even more, and the silicone is extra hard in the buttons so you don't have to press hard at all. Now, if you're looking to keep that slim and lightweight look, this case is not for you. But if you're looking for straight up functionality coupled with unrivaled protection, you NEED this case.

It's absolutely worth the upgrade. I came from the Diztronic TPU case, which was really nice,... good fitment, slim & light. I've had the Aegis on my E4GT for about a week now and it's super. I'm almost glad Otterbox ain't doing anything for this phone. They really screwed da pooch on their Evo 3D case, and I ended up replacing it with an Aegis. So putting one on this phone needed little thought.

I have had this case on for about two weeks. So far so good. Has saved from falls already and keeps the fine dust junk out of the that crack between the screen and the plastic on the phone. I love the side hard buttons, and there is a fine mesh covering the mic and back speaker holes. I got the Ballistic green color. It looks like the website image, just a weee bit darker. weeeee bit. Did nto use the screen protector that came with it, so no comments on that.
Wow,... didn't notice the mesh over the speaker and mic. Added bonus!
My Aegis was here in my box when I came home from a weekend of snowboarding. I feel a lot better with this puppy wrapping up my fon. Looks and feels pretty sweet!
Looks too much like a "case". A fatal cheesifying flaw of almost every case... along with making your uber-thin phone as thick as a deck of cards.
And I'm always dubious about hard plastic. It'll transfer shock to whatever it's against... could be the phone. That'll make the case survive a drop, not the phone. If it's got soft rubber inside the hard plastic, that kind of makes the hard plastic just unneeded bulk... and look like, well, your phone is in a "case".
I am a big fan of my $8 TPU case. That TPU material is the right compromise between hard and soft, and it fits so well it doesn't even look like a case. Looks elegant even, in matte black. I wish they made a white one, would look like a white version of the phone. For the price of this case at the super-discount Amazon price, you'd have two TPU cases plus a few bucks in your pocket.

SEIDIO Active Case Review w Pics

This is my review of my new Seidio Active Case. I own a Ballistic, D3O and now this. It is not bulky & does add much thickness. It is 2 pieces, similar to Ballistic - inside silicone and hard plastic shell. The silicone is smooth similar to the D3O but unlike Ballistic. It isn't the same material as D3O so it does pick up some lint but easily wipes off. It has a kickstand that seems pretty durable. The smooth silicone is easy to slide in & out of pants pockets (doesn't get hung up). It does not make screen protectors bubble - if you see the bubbling at the bottom it is from my D3O case use and wont go away...
Overall, this will be my daily case. I am very happy with it and it looks slick! I will be happy to answer any questions. Added pics below....
Thanks for the review, really like that back stand.
I just picked up this case and already love it. It really isn't any more noticeably bulky than the TPO or Insignia case I used before, yet my phone feels more protected and fits like a glove, unlike the other two that weren't quite as form fitting as I would like. The kickstand is just an awesome bonus.
So far, definitely the best case I've used for this phone.
Same case, same opinion here. Awesome, not too bulky. I'd prefer naked, but I run a Distribution Warehouse, and use my phone at work. Taking falls into concrete is bad for phones.
Any good deals on this case?
I have the blue one, it really is a nice case and pretty sturdy.

Blue Seidio
Great review. I bought the Seidio Active case after my black and white D30 developed cracks for no apparent reason (it had never been dropped) Luckily TMO let me return it.
I bought the Seidio Active Combo (Blue) with holster of Amazon for 40.00 Shipped. I like the case because it is easy to remove so you can swap batteries. A little thicker than the D30 but not as thick as many other cases. Buttons and port openings line up perfectly. It does attract a little dust or pocket lint. Some early reviews spoke of an echo with the speakerphone. It did not do that on mine.
The Sapphire Blue is a metallic type color that seems to change a bit under different kinds of light. The pics I've seen did not do justice to the blue finish. I just want to find a paint like this for my scooter.

Seidio Active case kickstand
Love the case and like you said it looks slick. Just have one question. from pictures I have seen the kickstand looks as though it protrudes from the back of the phone. Does this cause the phone to not sit flat when you set it on it's back? Do you get a rocking affect if you were to try to type with the phone flat on it's back?

It does cause a slight slant but the rocking effect is minimal and only when you are pressing the very bottom of the screen. To be honest, I never even realized this until testing for you... If I press the screen anywhere above the bottom 1/4 of the phone there is no rocking. Hope this helps!
That is awesome to know. Honestly that was my only reservation about getting this case. I love the look of it and doesn't seem to add much bulk to the case. Thanks for following up on this, now I can order one!

Going to order later on tonight so I will definitely let you know! Thanks again....
this is by far the best t989 case available, however would be nice if they would make the surface case for the t989 version. its a solid hard case that adds very lil bulk and more protection, its also very easy to remove. i had it for my sensation and would love it for this one. but seidio seemed to leave the t989 out on it bc its available on all other sg2 models except ours.
My damn kickstand always made a very noticeable click when I would use it but today it broke off. Sent email to Seidio waiting to here back from them. If they can send me a new kickstand I think I can fix it.

PureGear Slim Shell Case

Does anyone know where I could find some reviews of this case? Been holding off buying a case for a way too long and this looks promising
http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-ca...case-for-samsung-galaxy-s-iii-collection.html
Would anyone know where I could buy the coconut jelly version in the uk? I would be willing to make a video review on my youtube channel: youtube.com/polesp as a payment
I was waiting for the Musubo cases to come out, but decided to pull the trigger on the PureGear Slim Shell instead. I ordered the Black Tea one from this seller on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PUREGEAR-SA...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item2573f30cba
At $22.75 and free shipping, this is the lowest price I was able to find. It's out for delivery today, so I'll post a quick review within the next couple of days. I'm currently using a CruzerLite TPU case, as I'm not a big fan of dual layer (i.e., Otterbox, Ballistic, etc.) cases. The PureGear certainly seems like an interesting option.

Thank you! there are virtually no reviews out for this case which one are you getting? if it is the coconut jelly one would you be able to comment on whether the clear back leaves any marks on the back of the s3 (those big bubbles you get when plastic touches something), as postage to the UK takes 30 days your help is really appreciated
I was considering both Coconut Jelly and Black Tea, and ended up going with Black Tea. I know exactly what marks/bubbles you're referring to - my wife is using a CruzerLite translucent green TPU case on her white GS3, and the bubbles on the back are a bit unsightly. I came across a post on a different thread, where it was suggested to spread a small amount of talcum powder inside the case prior to putting it on the phone. Supposedly, it completely eliminates the bubbles.
We sell this case in store at TMobile ... they sell out fast... pretty nice case and a very functional holster
Just seeing if anyone has purchased one of these cases and how they compare to a diztronic or SGP color hybrid.
Thanks,
i wanted to buy this but kinda worry about the grippy rubber will easily get dirt and not washable. Also, how come there is no passion fruit color at all?????
Forget the case, look at the screen protector. Damn genius design...
looks real nice.
I like the Black Tea. Passion Fruit would've been soo much better had it had green trim rather then the blue.
I received my case and am definitely liking it so far, despite a couple of minor imperfections. I'll post a review this weekend, when I have the time to sit down and write one up. All in all, I give the case 8.5/10.
The rubber is hard, not the grippy kind. It doesn't trap dirt at all. The case is far superior to the CruzerLite TPU case that I've been using previously.
@Goobacks:
I agree, the design of the roll-on screen protector is absolutely genius. However, $25 is a bit too hefty.

In the event you come back to this thread, my case is holding up like a champ. They are available on Amazon for around $15 nowadays, and it's definitely worth the money. I got the orange one for my wife, who always keeps her phone in her purse, and the edges accummulated black scuff marks all around the sides of the case. I have the black tea one, and it still looks the same as it did the day I bought it. Then again, I don't have a purse!
Not a bad case not real grippy got the coconut jelly ( clear ) I don't recommend the color it looks like it has 3 cracks ( really small ones ) rite above the 3 slots for camera speaker and flash but not bad for paying 17 bucks with shipping from cell guru

Black Bumper for S3 (HQ pics) Recommend!!

Let me start this review just by saying that i love bumper cases. I
have been looking over the internet to find the best bumper case for
our Galaxy s3. I came across this case. Its a STRONG silicone bumper
that completes me in every aspect.
First of all. Its cheap. I think that everyone can try a cheap case
and if they dont like it, they throw it to their dog. (hehehe) Guys,
seriously. this is the best bumper case i have seen over the internet.
Why? It has a nice touch when you are holding your
phone. VERY nice touch. You will want to just hold your phone because
it has a nice feel Second of all: PROTECTION. And i mean it. Front,
back and sides are fully protected.
Front side (screen): the case has a slight bump on the edges so if the
phone drops the floor, its still protected (floor not the road hehe).
Back: Again, the case has a bump on the edges. So if your phone drops
on the back, protected!!! if you want to lay down your phone on a
table: PROTECTED.
Sides: Full protection, which is obvious why: its the case hehe.
Buttons: FULLy accessible button, both power and volume buttons. They
are covered by a soft silicone so there are very easy to press
(compare to the other tpu case i have reviewed)
I dont know if there are more colours available. You must check on
sellers ebay site.
Rating: If this case would be rated its a rock solid 5/5. Believe me
on this. It defenently worths every peny guys. I even compare it with
a TPU bumper case, that i have reviewed last week, amd this is by far
better.
Enjoy the pictures. I tried to take as many as possible.
I will review more bumper cases in the near future so stay tuned.
You can buy this on this link:

if you find this review helpful, hit thanks

i have two of this. It comes apart easily, especially where the micro usb hole is. Very good review though. Waiting to get the sgp one because i too love bumpers

I love the idea of this case, but had a similar one for my Galaxy Nexus which fell apart in a matter of days. Would be interested in reading an updated review of this one in a few weeks.
I have this case on my phone for a while and feels very steady guys. Note that i am snaping batteries daily, so the case comes on and off (by me i mean) and I havent got a problem so far.

Do you guys mean the material of the case degraded? This is all one-piece right? I was JUST shopping for my first bumper case and saw some aluminum ones that snap or screw together, but it seemed like the TPU ones are just a single piece of material and wrap around the edges.
Its a single piece mate. Plus you dont lose any signal plus its a snap in snap out plus its veryyy cheap
How does this fit with a zag shield?
Galaxy S3 Paranoid ROM.
I think that with the zagg shield you will be ok. The case has already a tight fit so its better not to use extra protection underneeth. I dont think you need zagf shield for the back cover because its already protected from the case.

If it is anything like the one for the Galaxy Nexus (and it appears to be the same), there is a hard plastic material used on the rear portions of the bumper, while the piece which surrounds the screen is flexible rubber. With the GN, the two materials separated.
is it easy to take it in and out of your pant pocket

i dont know for sure, but i think that it is going to work because the case is thin on the bottom. :good:
Thanks for the review, I ended up buying the same one but in white. I'm guessing they come from china because this thing isn't going to arrive for like three weeks haha. Oh well whatever.
My clear diztronic tpu case is starting to turn yellow and blue from my jeans so I really need something else. For three bucks I hope it holds up for a little while.
Do you think the the bezel or screen would get damaged if I dropped it from pocket height and it hit the corner on cement? Just wondering if I should still be extra careful when using this bumper.
