Hi, I'm new to the forum and to the wonderful world of rooting, custom roms and such so bare with me if I ask something stupid.Okay well the title basically says it all, I have 2 Samsung Galaxy note II phones which my dad bought from china. When we turned then on the OS was completely in Chinese so without even thinking about it I downloaded the official firmware for our region and started flashing it onto 1 of the phones just like I did when we received a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. But now something was different, Odin claims that the flashing failed. So I did a little further googling a found out that the Chinese note II had a custom bootloader preventing me from installing firmware from a different region (link to source below). I really don't know what to do further from this point I restored to the Chinese firmware just so that the phone would still work, but it suck not having gmail and that kind of thing so if anybody know of a way to bypass this custom boot loader or some other solution I could try it would really be appreciated!

Hi All, I'm looking for a successful way to unroot and root with a mac...
I've searched and searched but Haven't had much success..
I'm basically planning on re-rooting right away, but I want to clear all my files on the phone and start fresh.
I'm trying to do this because I flashed an AOSP 4.2 based rom and now my file system is out of wack, after flashing back to 4.1.2.
Does anyone know of a clear cut easy way to flash or unroot with a mac.
I've also tried Mobile Odin... I downloaded the kies samsung firmware but Odin is saying partition not found.
Any help or direction would be appreciate!
Thanks!
Please close. Situation is resolved.

Hi, so I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3, currently flashed to cricket. I would like to flash it back to sprint, I'm very tech savvy, but I have no experience flashing or modifying phone stuff in general. If anyone could help me step by step in flashing my phone back to sprint that would be great.
Hi,
I bought a Galaxy Note II N7105 today and I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to Samsung devices now having been a Nexus owner for a good while.
It's come installed with N7105XXUEMK9 installed and 'download mode' states that it has KNOX security so any time I try to flash a custom recovery it blocks it.
If anyone can give me any advice on how to install a custom recovery and root the device, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
