Favourite android keyboard for the HTC One X - HTC One X

Hey guys,
Just trying to get a few opinions on what you think is the best keyboard for the HTC One X. I just purchased Swift 3 keyboard and I think it's definitely worth it.
Much better than the original keyboard for sure. I really like the samsung galaxy nexus stock android keyboard that it comes with.
By the way jelly bean 4.1.1 is awesome!

SwiftKey is superb, they isn't a better keyboard out there.

Swiftkey 3 hands down :good::highfive:

Better than the stock android keyboard that is on the galaxy nexus though? With jelly bean it's pretty hard to beat I think.

I use Jelly Bean keyboards, but if I wasn't so cheap I would buy SwiftKey3, I used the beta and it was superb.

Smart Keyboard here. Bedt there is.

Happy with the HTC stock

Using SwiftKey and loving it
From my ONE X in your face!

Swiftkey 3

I used the SwiftKey Trial till it got over. Amazing keyboard, definitely worth the price.
Now I'm using Swype Beta and it kicks ass! Its so easy to type/swype words xD

Must say that after using SwiftKey 3 keyboard for only half an hour it seems like it is probably the best there is.
The predictive text is actually quite amazing if you ask me!

Another thing is, keyboard prediction RIM was showing off with its BB10 keyboard is already there on android with SwiftKey! The prediction is brilliant!

A.I. type keyboard. Brilliant! Best predictive text I've seen. A one touch £ if set to UK english, top row that can be hidden with a swipe for numbers and symbols, a drag handle to change the height at will, cut/copy/paste/select on long press of C and numerous themes. I can't fault it!

SwiftKey still the best.

I use hackers keyboard , will try swift keyboard in future

Swiftkey, ive had it since it was in beta stage and bought it immediately

Since I don't use text prediction / auto correction, I am satisfied with the stock AOSP ICS keyboard. Love the way it looks and I can type really fast on it without any prediction.

swiftkey 3 by far!

Best Keyboard: Swype vs SwiftKey vs DroidX vs other?

What's your opinion?
I was just messing around and tried Swype, SwiftKey, stock, and the DroidX Multitouch. I definitely have to say the DroidX Multitouch is the best for both prediction, correction, and UI.
The nicest thing about the DroidX keyboard is that the multitouch prediction works on the hardware keyboard as well (good or bad thing).
Easily Swype FTW
I am trying out the multitouch keyboard right now and all i have to say that on the epic its epic. Its insanely fast. I like swype for when im driving since i can use 1 finger but for pure speed the droid x keyboard wins hands down.

Where can you get the droid x keyboard?
Look in the evo forum

where can you get a working HTC evo keyboard with arrows? I can't find one.
My favorite is Smart Keyboard Pro & Droid X keyboard. Both keyboards have built in multitouch. Smart keyboard pro is more customizable and looks better in my opinion.
Texting speed record was smashed with swype. It is by far the fastest keyboard you can get on a touchscreen phone.
Droid x for me

Droid x is so amazing imho, swype's keys are too small for me

i used to use swiftkey because it had a lot of features most notably was the sms reader, it would scan your sms and "learn" commonly used words. worked witht he hw keyboard too, but i find myself using the sw one more often and im trying out thickbuttons right now
I would have said swype before i read this post.. but after reading this i downloaded the droid x keyboard and thats by far my favorite.. it actually makes me want to use teh screen instead of the physical keyboard

Another vote for Smart Keyboard Pro. Many options, languages, multitouch, several skins....
Tried it against HTC-IME v27 (nexus forum) which is also great, but SKP seemed a bit better...less errors IMO
So far I like Swiftkey. I didn't really want to learn Swype. I like the way Swiftkey learns to use autocorrect better. I was pretty impressed that I can send a lot of texts by typing ONE letter and then using the suggestions to complete the message.
I like ultra keyboard the best so far. It's well worth the dough. It's highly configurable. It has a swype method that I use in xt9 that's awesome!

Coming from the blackberry after 7 years, I was skeptical about onscreen in general. But, I was impressed with the evo after 2 weeks of predictive typing.
However, swype on epic is so effortless at times.
Overall I am more productive and efficient over the blackberry I feel.
I will try the droid x keyboard now...
epic. Where do I find it??

Which Keyboard do you use?

SwiftKey X? SlideIT Keyboard? Smart Keyboard PRO? Stock? Curious as to which one is best and what the pros and cons are.

SwiftKey X. But I liked the stock keyboard a lot too.

Stock keyboard for me as well. I had SwiftKey X previously, but just can't bring myself to replace stock at the moment on the Galaxy Nexus.
SwiftKey x until google fixes the landscape lag issue. I like stock a lot but the lagginess drives me up the wall.
Sent from my Nexus in Texas.
i'm running on stock. i do miss swype though.
Stock in landscape mode with 2 thumbs.
Stock with auto correction turned up to very aggressive.. very amazing
Swype! Love it.

Swype, and loving it, wonder when the ics version will be out

I use Swiftkey. Can't get use to stock. I think I prefer entering numbers on swift-key X a lot more.
Using slideIT although there's a little bug where the shift key is not reacting and you have to activate -> deactivate the numblock to make it react again.

Custom ROM? or.....how are you using Skype? This is the first phone I've been interested in trying it on and no ICS compatibility. Do the old .APKs work?
SlideIT. Got it for $0.10. I missed swype. It has a good keyboard whether you use the slide feature or not.
Modded Swype.

Anyone else use a non htc one x keyboard layout?

I had to change the original layout. While i do admit i like it better look-wise, i have a hard time typing fast with it. I'm using the ics keyboard. Capable of typing faster and feels more accurate. How about you guys? If yes, which one do yoy use ?
Also using the ICS keyboard. Its just better to use IMO

Yeah, Swiftkey X really is the best Been using beta 3 since the day it first came out, it rocks!
Guess im going to DL and try swiftkey now haha
Swype Beta, been using it on my DHD and now on the One X
I just can't get on with Swiftkey, I'm somehow much quicker on the ICS keyboard. Each to their own I guess
Swiftkey X, hands down the best keyboard.
Smart keyboard pro..
I have used Swype keyboard since my X10 and can't get on with any other keyboard.

I've always preferred aosp keyboards, 2.2, 2.3, 3.0 and now this one. Although it could use a calibration option like the sense keyboard offers.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
i couldn't get it to stop changing my words even after turning that stuff off in settings. i'm using AOSP keyboard now and will use swype if i want to trace.
Swift key it. Typing with my eyes closed. It learns and adapt to ur typing too. Best so far.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
The AOSP keyboard with auto correct set to "Very Agressive" is amazing. I just wish the ones on the market had the actual AOSP sounds.

The best I ever used :highfive:

I use default ics keyboard with autocorrect off. It doesn't lag like any else.
Also swype is my second keyboard.
Swiftkey is good but it annoys the hell outta me at times.

I tried it. Without predictions. Awesome stuff. Thanks a lot.
I use TouchPal Keyboard and it's all right. I've tried a bunch of different ones and i find this the best out of all.
I loved the HTC stock keyboard when i had swype (T-mo app) but since i put a custom ROM on it, that's gone... and i just can't type without swype any more...
H.
If you are using cm9 or 10 ,then go for xperia s keyboard. Nice one . Try it .

Keyboard size

Hello,
I'm using an alternative rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344) and I have a problem. The keyboard is too small. How can I resize it ?
Thank you
Why don't you try one of the keyboard replacement apps? There are a lot of good ones, but Smart Keyboard Pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro&hl=en) was my favorite on Android...
Or go keyboard that i am usi g now

Well, if you want to spend a few bucks on a nice keyboard replacement, try SwiftKey keyboard.
I'm using for almost an year and it works really fine.

...and as taste always varies I'm a big Swype fan (although the keyboard is a bit smaller if I switch to German - but it's ok for me and English is just fine).
I'm a swiftkey + 1. Although stock keyboard is fine.
MokeeOS
I tried swiftkey and this is great ! Thank's
