[Q] App for panorama in CM7.2 - Galaxy Ace S5830 Themes and Apps

I flashed official CM7(latest nightly) and I liked its performance. But I found out that the camera app was poor and it is not as good as the one in Samsung Stock firmware. Also, the panorama and smile shutter option is missing and there is no way to use flash in video mode. So I want to ask a few things...
1)Is there any good panorama apps in the market or somewhere else which is like the one in stock camera and which takes good pictures without blur? I need it very much!
2) Is there any way to enable flash in video recording?
3) Is there any app for smile shutter(I use it rarely anyway, mostly for showoff!
Thanks in advance!

MIUI Camera APK

Found a miui camera apk for the Amaze that works pretty well on our phones (no video though). Thought I would share it.
Link: Miui Camera
I find I can take better quality photos with the miui app which seems to have a better ability to handle exposure settings, and produces better quality images (especially in macro) than the stock app. I know a lot of people hate the miui camera but I'm not one of them.

Just wondering - is the Samsung camcorder disabled using this app? Is it possible to use the MIUI camera and Samsung camcorder.....
Of course It won't overwrite the stock camera app. You can still use the stock one at any time.

Lower ISO is normally better... ISO 100 would be best. Low ISO's and Low light won't work though....pictures will be blurry.

Best camera app

I have about 4 different camera apps on my phone. I would love to hey Rid of as many as I can to make space. what is your opinion on the best camera app in terms of both real time and post processing effects, quality, etc. maybe even one that can also do 720p video without stutter. I'm on mikg 3.11 ROM. Thanks...

I'm on MikG 3.11 to. The stock camera works great for me. No extra apps needed.

I like photaf, works really well.
photoaf is for panorama photos. I use that. mikg camera doesn't do realtime and post processing effects.

I would go with Camera360, Love the effects included.

Vignette is nice. It has lots of settings.

I just switched to the Nitrous ROM from mikg. I miss the mikg camera though. Is there any way to get that camera on another ROM? I had to switch because of insufficient storage issues and not being able to do a titanium backup. I tried everything suggested in the forums to no avail. Oh well. I like the Nitrous, but miss the camera.
Camera 360 is solid

i use this it has special effects with the Normal Camera, Color, Mirror, Art, Distort, and Frame effects. Adjust how much or little to apply to your pics, in the on-screen menu u download Composite yourself with a celebrity, select Shutter Skins, Buddy, Borders, fun Props, set Filters, Anti-banding, White Balance, and Night shot, toggle Auto Focus, Timer with voice activation, Stable shot and Burst modes of up to 1 minute and i also have fast burst camera which i love

I'm not that completely bothered about effects, I just want an app that is better than stock, does anyone know of one?

Ucam has lot of options, it's a really underrated app...
By the way I don't think there is an app which will give you better quality results than the stock one.
You just have to compare the image quality of the preview (i mean before taking a photo/video) of the stock camera with any other thirdy app. Except the stock one, all of them are showing some kind of granulated image

I've tried them all, but none of then have a touch-to-focus. I have seen one called Camera FV-5, which is more professional, but I'm wondering if anyone here would be so kind to test it to see if it's worth the price tag.
Thank you.

Procapture gives you the capability to shot with volume rocker (only pro version)
And another good app is fast burst camera

I'm using it right now and you get so many options! Totally worth it, i've wasted so much money trying out good camera apps and the best ones are HDR Camera+, Afterfocus and Camera FV-5 being the best one.

Try Vignette , it have few nice Features
Try LG Camera I've always found that one pretty good
JB stock camera
Question always should be:
What types of images do you want to take. For just party-shots you wont need a paid app...
Try using camera zoom FX. it has touch to focus and pinch to zoom. I am using it on my 4.1.1 ROM
Sent from my GT-I9100G using xda app-developers app
Try Camera360, it free with many effect and custom
+1 for LGCamera (lot of options, fix for bad chip recording for S2) and default JB stock camera (nice GUI and features)...
I find the Jelly Bean stock camera to be excellent, as if you fix the focus it captures pretty much instantly.

What about Fast Burst Camera Lite?
Not gonna be possible to do that on S2 like it does on S3. Different cameras and tech going on there... but you can get some camera apps that give you a small burst - **Look for HDR cam apps and maybe try Ultra Burst or Fast Burst (what daveyannihilation said)

Well thats as good as is gets until YOU port the s3 camera over to our s2.
Ive been using fast burst camera and its pretty darn impressive

Well, Fast Burst Camera application is actually useless, as it limited to very low resolution in Galaxy S2 -800x600 (i've contacted the developer and confirmed that theres nothing he can do about it)

Can anyone recommend a camera app?

Okay so I started using the stock ROM but then I moved over to cyanogen for a little while only to find out that the camera in cyanogen was really bad so I move back to stock and I'm not saying I regret the decision but I really would love to go back to cyanogen so I was wondering if anyone might know of a camera app that is comparable to the stock app for this device any help would be appreciated!

yes I was using focal but i cannot have a buggy camera. im a photographer and I use my phone a lot for scouting for shoots rather than carrying around my main gear. need something that will replace the cm10 sh*t camera with good features and functionality as the stock camera on the s4.
ProCapture!
There's an .apk for the Google Edition camera over in the Themes/Apps section. I use it alongside the stock camera and it's every bit as good I think.

I disagree with the assessment that AOSP camera is sh*t. Kudos to the developers - it's pretty fast and very, very usable, and the swipe to gallery is great (haven't seen that in any other party camera app). I'm picky about the camera.
That said, if you're set to find a 3rd party camera, then look at Camera FV-5.
Compared to all the other apps listed on this thread, it's superior with basic camera features missing in the other apps, such as focus mode, manual ISO, exposure compensation, exposure bracketing, grid layovers, etc. No gimmicky filters or effects like the others listed here. It makes a decent 'manual' camera out of the limited capability that the phone comes to begin with. It shows the 'life' shutter speed. Its auto ISO has a bias to go higher ISO than AOSP camera - up to 2000, so it may guard against shake but at the expense of grainier pics in the darker settings, but these phones aren't meant for that anyway. ProCapture is the closest to FV-5, but not as good for manual settings (i.e., after you set the exposure compensation on ProCapture, you won't see the value explicitly shown, so that could trip you). The one thing about FV-5 is it has a tad slower startup than the stock AOSP camera.
Updating my recommendation to either "A Better Camera" or Lenovo Super Camera.
