[Q] Any ideas where to buy? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys! So I've had my eye on the Verizon GNex for a while now but my parents are unwilling to give up their upgrade so I can get it... Ebay is an option but also pricey for a used one ya know... Does anybody have any ideas where else i can look? besides craigslist
Again, I wanna find a verizon samsung gnex lol no GSM

Those are really your only options. I doubt you will find them online for cheaper.... Maybe amazon?

What's wrong with clist? Just make sure you meet at a Verizon store and you have the ESN checked. Make a test call, check that it powers off / on quickly. Fast GPS lock, etc etc.

Look in the XDA Market Place or Swappa.

Amazon has the device for $650. I doubt you'll find a much better price on a new device.
As stated above, check out your local forums or swappa.

That can't be right. A new one on eBay is $475-$350 and a brand new unlocked GSM version is only $350. I've seen some good Verizon ones on Clist and that'd probably be your best bet.

There's a couple for sale in the xda marketplace...

i checked out the marketplace and couldnt find the vzw one, am i just dumb and couldnt see it? lol
im checking swappa now, and ebay is good up until a few hours before the auction ends... then it jumps from reasonable to NUTS

I'm not looking to spend over $300 for this.. i really doubt i can find anything for cheaper lol so thank you for giving me some ideas.. ill still look back here to see if anybody posts so if you find a deal let me know!

Unfortunately, Verizon's business model is a dying, failing breed. They overprice the phones so they can sell them at a subsidized price to make it seem like you are getting a good sale. You are paying easily double for a phone that is worth half that price (look at the price on the Play Store). I would recommend Craig's List, or maybe keep a close eye on eBay, but you aren't going to be able to find an LTE Nexus for anywhere near $300.
Either convince your parents, or save up!

NEGRI DEAL! $685.50 For GSM Nexus!

NegriElectronics has a deal for this weekend to get the Galaxy Nexus for the lowest price I've seen so far, $685.50! Plus, it's free shipping in the US!
I thought I got a deal by ordering for 704ish from them a while back, but this deal is the lowest ever and is only for this weekend. If you were on the fence, now MIGHT be the time to act for the GSM version.
Coupon Code is: VZSucks
It knocks $45 off the price tag!
Good price and negeri, say what you will about them, are shaping up to be a good reseller.
I'm giving this serious consideration...
I'm really tempted to go through with this. I was at Best Buy yesterday talking to one of the Mobile guys. I'm really starting to think there won't be a GSM version available for retail sale in the US. Someone please talk me out of this! I'll will really hit myself if by the end of this month a GSM version is available in Best Buy less than $550. I wanted the 32GB GSM model but I feel like I've waited too long already.
Should I wait until the ides of December and see what happens or jump in on this Negri deal?

1000% agree.
Bought mine 3 weeks ago at $750 and haven't doubted it since.
No way I'm going to sit around and wait unit, what, Feb, March, May, ever for a GSM version.
No thanks.
Buy now enjoy now.
Wait and possibly never enjoy.
Easy decision, IMO.

Okay that's all I need! I went through with the order with free ship option to save as much money as possible. Hope it won't take THAT long.
I've already been alerted by my bank about the authorization. I used Amazon Payments.
If I get this phone will my ensurion insurance still protect it? I have a problem with losing phones. Thanks guys

it will not since the phone will be from another country and not incorporated into their system. even then, if they actually would allow it they wouldn't be able to replace it for the same phone.
Good deal!
So I would essentially be screwed if I lost this phone? I am an outdoors man, and somehow lose them.

They charge tax so don't forget to factor that into the equation based on where you are. I got mine from Negri for $705 but after tax it shot up to $764. I was just thankful I saved $35 from a code.
Negri is the way to go... although I've heard mixed stories about the customer service they give but I'd recommend them. I got my phone super quick.

Yeah I know I got ripped off. If negeri is selling at $685, they are still making a profit, believe you me. And to think I paid $750...Expansys must have made a TON of profit on the units they pushed out just before Thanksgiving.
Oh well. Money. It comes and goes.
Does this phone come unlocked already!? I went to pre-order my own but it says (Verizon) next to it. I just want to make sure I get the unlock version other than the wack a$$ Verizon one. Please let me know.
Thank you

What's the deal about this?

I'm in love with the Galaxy Nexus but the price is just too high! So, searching desperately for a reasonable price, I came accrross this site - Utara Electronics. Found it in Google Shopping. They're selling the phone for 500$, can you help me identify whether it's safe to order?
Here's the link - http://goo.gl/iVgIE

Its gonna be a scam. You wont find this phone anywhere for under the retail price, its too new. Remember if its too good to be true, its a scam.
i'm considering selling my nexus so i can get the rezound again, but it's the verizon lte model.

[Q] VZW Galaxy Nexus - where to buy phone only?

I won't be able to upgrade my dumb phone till early 2013 with verizon. I am interested in the galaxy nexus. Any recommendations as far as just buying the phone? Ebay? Any reputable sellers?
Obviously the fact that they have no warranty is an issue, but a square trade may be worth it at 75 dollars with all the color issues?
I'm open to thoughts and recommendations.
Swappa.com sells a lit of android phones. Check there. It's strictly for phones. They will tell u if the ESN is bad or not also. U can talk directly to the seller as well. Some take trades too.

Now where to buy galaxy nexus?

Nexus S washed by my wife. Battery is dead, phone works but wifi and bluetooth are not functioning. Was trying to get Galaxy Nexus on google play to ship to friend in US and then ship to Canada. But just found out it is banned by a fashion fruit company. The carriers are selling it for 499+ 13% tax up there, any place I can get it for a reasonable price?

I dont have a US issued credit card

about to buy a s3

I'm ready to buy a s3 for tmobile. I have a few questions:
- Any advice before buying one?
- Should I take any safety precaution before buying on the street? [I heard of people buy phones from people that cancel their plan on the carrier right after]
- Should I just save up and buy the beefed up model the i9305? [I dont really use the phone for internet that much, but I like games and apps]

I love this phone, above all other android phones which is alot.
If at all possible buy from t-mobile. In the street if you are lucky you will get one for $350 to $400. If you have an upgrade available then you will paying about that much, unless you go thru customer loyalty or retention department(really depends if you been with them 2 or more yrs for best deals, so I have read).
I have not had any stuters while playing a couple games , darkknight rises, robo defense, spades and a few others
If you are able to play with phone before buying. Press *#0*# and it will show you Lcdtest page. Which will let you test all hardware function of phone .

alright cool, i'll try it out when i get the chance
Id advise against buying "off the street". Too many have gotten screwed doing that.
But many have got great deals that way too, so its your call.
I wouldn't get the international version. You won't get as great of speed as the T999. Maybe 3g if your areas been refarmed.
LTE is too far off still to make that a buying point imo. By the time your area gets it you'll be ready to get a better phone. GS5 maybe!?
That's a great point btw about doing the hardware testing before buying off the street!
Ill add that if you can, go with the seller to a tmobile store to check the imei isn't blacklisted and get the seller to have them print something showing the phone has been 100% paid off.

I'm over on the s2. I called TMobile to see about how much it would be for me to get into the phone. The one I want is the 32g. Well I'm still under my contact. It was about 700 dollars lol. Well I can get it but I'm gonna need to sale my s2. I think I'll get more if I sale it rooted already then I would unrooted that way I wouldn't be paying so much for the phone.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Prefer the unlocked S3.
Like what people above said, call retentions. They offered me the s3 for 99 bucks. But I think I will still wait till black Friday deals. I have a galaxy nexus so I'm in no hurry.
If you're not in a hurry either wait for black Friday.

I have giant hands and I think the note 2 is too big. I don't watch enough movies on my phone to have to hold a tablet PC up to my ear. SGS3 fits perfectly... its nice and sleek... lightweight... and is a beast when it comes to performance. I love it.
