[REQUEST - SOLVED!] Off-Centre Lockscreen for Low DPIs (JB) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

PLEASE can somebody make a mod to centralize the lockscreen for DPIs lower than 320?
I believe this may be the solution, but I'm not a dev: http://localhostr.com/files/IOkAg3b/06-07-2012_114518.jpg
Its driving me (and others, apparently) INSANE

EDIT: A fix has been merged into a build of AOKP JB, available to download on post #14 :good:

I've been wondering this too. Can't seem to find any info on this issue, I thought people would use custom densities in their phones. :/ This problem is also in Dialer/Phone when someone calls you the answering ring is off-center. Also Google Now popup is affected when you press home key.

Bump this up! I've been looking everywhere for this. Haven't seen anyone with a fix. I even installed the JB lock screen app from the play store and it still isn't centered -_- lol

+1 for this, wish I had the skill to do it myself lol

Im also thinking about flashing Paranoid Android but its on Alpha stage yet right? Is it stable?

I'm running paranoid and changing the DPI of framework doesn't work, its still aligned to the right. I think the fix is what's posted above, but I tried making those changes to be centered and my phone wouldn't boot.
But to answer your question yes, its pretty stable, I haven't really had any problems. I've been running paranoid since it first released, before it was even a real rom

I've been looking into this off and on, and I just compared some JB framework files to ICS framework files. In /res/layout/keyguard_screen_lock.xml they are identical. They both seem to have things aligned to the right, so it's starting to make me wonder where the pic in the OP came from exactly (the original file, on the left)

[SOLVED]
Sethyx, one of the very awesome Team-AOKP devs very kindly merged a fix into AOKP JB Build 1  I've tested it, and it works perfectly.
For now, it is only available as part of the full ROM. Download it here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7965056/aokp_maguro_jb-build-1.zip It's not the same build that's on AOKP's site, even though it's named the same. This is basically build 1, with the lock-ring alignment fix.
This ROM, running Franco's kernel + 270 DPI, fully themed is DA SHIZNIT!

I wouldn't recommend flashing this on other roms or phones this isn't made for. This is framework which is what makes up parts of the OS. Needs to be ported for each individual rom and phone.
To the OP a more defined tutorial would be very much appreciated other than a generic approach.
For example here's a patch learn how to use it and compile isn't very informative. At least that's what I pick up from the "10 minute". Guide. Not demanding but it would alleviate the demand for Ports.

AOKP should have this as one of the lockscreen options.

For LG P500?
i confirm that in dosen't work on CM9, will stuck at boot animation.
How can i use this mod in 240 density? It seems when i use it in 240 density the lockscreen is meesed up. Running aokp b40. By the way it runs great under 320 density.

[MOD] Jellybro CM10 Navbar Mod [09/09/12]

Hi! I originally made this mod for my Galaxy Nexus however I like using as most of my screen as possible and I also prefer having a fast glow animation on the navbar as in my opinion it makes the device faster. As with the Galaxy Nexus, I made this mod for myself however I decided to share it over here but if required I should be able to do some requests

Yes the navbar is a smaller DPI (shorter) and the animation when a button from the navbar is pressed is faster which I find makes the whole device seem a bit faster.
Going to install CM10 later on and try this out - looks great!
On another, unrelated note, any chance you could share that wallpaper? Looks awesome

Yes the only thing that will be different is that the navigation bar will be smaller and the animation will be faster.

Jelly Bean 4.1.1. Lags of home screens.

Hi there. I've updated my GNex to 4.1.1 (GSM version) and at the very beginning everything was superb. But after some time, my GNex starts to lag. And under "lags" I mean home screen freezing.
When I'm using some programs and after that I pressing a home button and immediately switch to the next home screen - its freezing and switching to the next home screen like in the slideshow.
I've used CM10 jelly bro and AOKP nightlybuilds - and they doesnt solute my problems.
If someone had this problem and already got reed of it - can you say me the ways of solution? Thanks.
Btw,excuse my for my English. If I wrote something wrong - try to understand it,or ask me about it again.

No lags here...
Could be an app you have installed using a lot of memory.
Also perhaps try custom kernels, I recommend AK currently.

If anyone else is interested. ..

I wasn't doing much today, now that the semester is over. So I felt like experimenting with our great phone. I think we all notice that the international models offer MUCH more currently active support. So I wanted to find out how much some of the mods and such were compatible. I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721839, and surprisingly, so far, everything is working out ok. I would highly advise to backup a current nandroid just in case. Obviously this isnt my work, nor am I publishing this mod as in a specific ROM other than the creators. Completely on my time and my risk.
So tell me what you guys think.
