Hi guys.. I bought a GNex with yakjujp ICS 4.0.2 stock ROM. Now i ugraded to 4.1 JB, but i did not take backup of my stock ROM. I need anyone who can help me in providing a link to download the yakjujp ROM or if anyone with the same ROM have taken backup, plz let me know. I want the backup of that stock ROM..

Here is a link to the original firmware of android 4.0.4 from Google https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images # yakju.
This page contains binary image files that are provided for use in restoring your Nexus device's original factory firmware. These files are for use only on your personal Nexus devices and may not be disassembled, decompiled, reverse engineered, modified or redistributed by you or used in any way except as specifically set forth in the license terms that came with your device.

I'm trying to find guys who have jakjujp ROM and asking them out.
Two things about forum :
1) when i reply to someone (that's wt i did when i saw their posts), will it create a new thread? I din't intend to create new threads, i just replied to them.
2) If you are going to start a new thread, there is no need to spam a bunch of other threads - wt do u mean by this?

Any Custom ROM to Official ICS Tutorial Needed

Hello can anyone write a tutorial that will send any T989 with custom ROM and RADIO to it's original configuration so Kias can upgrade phone to ICS ? Let's say I am on Darkside with radio from Blaze 4G and I do have my original ROM backed up with ROM Manager ....now what ? From what I understand I need 3 things to make a smooth transition.
1. Original 2.3.6
2. Original RADIO
3. No Custom Recovery (no clockwork)
I may be incorrect on clockwork but I know for sure radio and rom has to be exact. So is there anyone can write a tutorial that will put any T989 and ANY Custom ROM to it's original state ? (I hjope it's even possible)
Thank you.

I guess that link is for old stock ROM (ULKL1) . They upgrade it one more time before IcS to UVLDE. There is thread on general section.
Follow that

Is that mean I'll have to do an upgrade before I can do ICS ? Or I can just go from that straight to ICS ?
if you find the UVLDE md5.tar file in whatever thread it is in, you only need to go back to that STOCK version, there is no further update from that.
You can then do the ICS update after that.

Why not wait a few days for us to play with it first? Updating through Kies could render your device unrootable. With what I have been reading/hearing they may lock the bootloader and make it impossible to root until a security flaw is found and exploited. This could take days to even months if even possible. Like I said, my advice is to wait.

Crap ...... well I am with ICS now and hoping for ROOT ATM meanwhile I just glad whole process was painless and straight forward. One question if possible. So at this stage It'll be impossible to use same guide and return to 2.3.6 stock from before right ?
Thanks !

That video is NOT a how-to to install a stock ROM. That is a how-to to install a custom ROM. Use the link you were provided to flash the Jelly Bean stock ROM. (And it doesn't matter what carrier you bought your device from, i.e., Wind, etc.)

As efrant has said, everything you need is already here, check out efrants signature links, all are excellent guides which I personally used when I got the Gnex as my first android phone, and now have more than a pretty good understanding about how it all works.
As he also stated, posting questions in a thread is preferred to sending private messages, since everyone can benefit from the answers to the same questions they may have.
HOWEVER, if the trouble you are having is due to a language barrier, you're welcome to contact me via PM for explanations in Hebrew - rules are that all posts on the forum are to be in English only!

How to get Android 4.2.1 factory image?

Hi,
Seems that I can't install 4.2.2 because my phone has been modified (root, custom kernel).
I can't find factory image of 4.2.1 here https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images It was replaced by 4.2.2 images?
Could you post a link to a mirror with 4.2.1 image or at least boot.img file ("takju", 4.2.1).
Thanks!

Why not just backup, flash 4.2.2 and then restore?

You are right.
Changes in 4.2.2 are so minor this time (at least for me) that I want to do an upgrade first time in my life rather than full reinstall

I've never done an OTA on my Nexus, and only did it once on my One X as I was in the user trial for JB so it was the only way. I prefer to use full images, but then again I don't have a lot to back up as most data is cloud-based and I don't game on my phone so never really lose anything
