A holster / carrying case not to buy from Amazon. - Galaxy S III Accessories

I hope this isn't against the rules but I thought I would post a word of warning to anyone looking at buying a holster for their Galaxy SIII.
I bought a Black Teramo Holster Carrying Case from Amazon which was advertised for the SIII.
It looks like a very nice holster. Unfortunately, when I received the phone, it was definitely not made the SIII. It is too small, not long enough for the flap to properly close and very tight. It does work for the SII.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link but a search for Teramo Holster Carrying Case will bring it up.
Hopefully by posting this it will avoid other wasting their money like I just did.

Thanks for the heads up. Was looking at that holster today..

My pleasure. I tried posting a review on Amazon and the review got rejected
I'll try to post another review on Amazon and hopefully this time it'll pass the censors.

Holsters Carrying Case
Just ordered my Vibrant today. Getting it on tomorrow. Wirefly currently has a deal for FREE next day shipping and you get the phone for $99.99. I bought two with no taxes. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
but to the point. I am on my journey to find accessories now. Read all the threads about all the cases, might just want to wait for some good Vibrant cases to come out instead of squeezing in i9000 cases, though in the threads, they seem to fit perfectly.
I want more protection from the war scars that happen in my pockets, so I am going to try to find a good Holster for my Vibrant.
After looking through 1200+ products. Here's what I find on eBay.
*EDIT* Since i am a new user, XDA didn't let me post outside links, thus I will give names and pics. Apologies.
1. Soft-Leather-Case-Cover-Pouch-Samsung-Vibrant-T959-
2. Black-Leather-case-car-charger-Samsung-Vibrant-T959-

Any more ideas?
This would be my first Holster/Pouch/Carrying Case for any phone.

in earlier posts on other threads, this cover case was only 'titled' for i9000. Now it is also titled for Vibrant. Will definitely order mines right now.

Holster Clip for the Aria

Does anyone know of a holster clip for the HTC Aria? I was selling a Blackberry Curve 8530 with a clip that has the front of the phone facing the clip, which ended up looking really cool, and I'd like one for the Aria. I've checked around places, and I have found no holster clips at all that aren't really just pouch cases.
Been looking for one myself for a while and finally came across this one:
http://www.wirelessemporium.com/p-56311-premium-force-holster-w-sleep-mode-function-for-htc-aria.asp
Ordered, but haven't received it yet so I can't comment on quality...
The best holster I've found is one for a "classic" ipod. Do a little cutting to open the area up for the screen. It's cheap and easy. I can use the phone either in the case, or slide it out..

Looks to be the same as one I picked up @ wirelessground.com/htc-aria-accessories.html They actually have quite a few products for the aria.
Don't know anything about them as I just ordered the holster last night.
update on the holster - although not as nice as the seidio holsters I've used with my other phones, this one does the job nicely.
Thanks for the uodate. Can you leave it face-in with this holster, and if so how easily does the Aria eject from the clip? Alternatively, can you leave it face-out and answer calls without removing it at all?
Does not fit face-out.
Face in, it's a nice tight fit. Almost too tight.
Works well once you get used to it...
So ordered sat received Friday. Seems to be a nice holster. Fit is tight, felt is a nice touch, and it has a nice low profile.
For $12 I'm certainly not going to complain, and have no problem recommending it for those looking for a holster.

Unfortunately, this clip broke last week as I was scraping ice off of my car Windows, looks like its time to look for a more sturdy one.
cheap plastic, heck all rigid plastic does not handle freezing temperatures very well.

Otterbox Defender now available.

I can't post url's but its there if you search captivate on otterbox.com
Just letting you guys know.
Personally, I think I will wait till its available on amazon for $34.99 with free shipping.

Yeah, I received the email stating it's ready... But I agree, wait till Amazon has it in stock and save 20 bucks.
Somebody should buy it at full otterbox price and review it though >.>
I am anxious to see how this one is with reviews. I really do not like the idea of the screen protector built into the case, which is not removable (though I may just take a knife to it if I buy it)
I am most interested in the belt holster though, which is pretty much my only reason to be interested in this case. I don't like how the Seido (or whatever...) belt holster case has a giant clip on the top of the phone.

Where do you get this information? The Q&A on the Otterbox site has several answers saying the screen protector is built in.
EDIT: And it also has a recent answer saying it is not built in. Eh. Looking forward to those pics guys!

Hmmmm. I ordered a Commuter on Monday and was thinking about sending it back when it gets here for the Defender but now since it lacks the built-in protector... are the Defender cases that much more better?

well now that kind of sucks. I guess we can forget about much in the way of protection from spills/liquids. Not alot to set this apart from the commuter now other than belt clip which i wouldn't be using anyway (but i guess given it can be had for the same price as the commuter on amazon one interested may as well get the defender). Pretty disappointing as i was looking forward to a case with pretty comprehensive protection.

Great deal on a really nice platinum series case - $8 shipped

Came across a deal on cases for the Evo while looking for a Dell Streak case. Thought I would come over and post it, my buddy said its a good case. Didnt do too much research but I think its like a 50 dollar case, anyways $7.95 shipped.

heres an old thread with some reviews, thanks to the fancy similar threads thingy:

nice fined mine broke and was about to go get a new one
Thanks for the find good deal I picked up one also.
that scares me a bit
I'll be the guinea pig! I just ordered 2 of them for that price. I figure if they try to screw me I will file a paypal dispute. They also have the platinum innocase with holster for the epic for like 6 bux. If the defender arrives and it's legit I'm probably gonna buy a bunch and distribute them to friends.
Great find..
was going to order one but seen no idea how long shipping is
From the reviews I read shipping doesn't take to long. They are based in California.

Oh OK I did not know that
Anyone have a video review or something of this case? I cant find some decent pics of the case to see how bulky it is. The best buy site has a front view of the case on the phone and it looks really bulky.
I believe its actually the innocase rugged, more reviews found here

There are a ton of reviews on YouTube. Here is one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgrDNmJwfHA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I got this case when they first came out and was not satisfied with it at all. The outer skeleton broke for no apparent reason and I ended up having to cut all the port covers off because the silicone was tearing. You can't really go wrong for 8 bucks though. The inner layer is the regular innocase so you can use that on it's own and Seidio's screen protector is definitely the best I have ever used.
The case is quite bulky, but all rugged cases are. I now have a Ballistic case and it adds even more bulk than the Seidio.

this is clearly a pricing error, but i ordered 10 anyways. expecting a refund any minute now...
edit: maybe not, its on their twitter feed too, and they have other seidio products at that pricing. amazing.

[Q] Kickstand cases?

I saw some decent kickstand cases for the SGS2 with AT&T, but I have not been able to find any yet with the TMO version. Please let me know if you find any out there specially made for the TMO SGS2!
I'm having major kickstand withdrawals since upgrading from my EVO 4G.
Oh and I'm looking for a landscape kickstand, not the portrait kickstand found on the Body Glove case in the TMO stores.
Same here, would love some kickstand

Thank you for the pictures. Can you post one of the front of the case? I want to see how much of the bezel it covers and if it gets close to the edges of the screen.
The only thing i dont like about it is that the top and bottom arent covered.
The inside has a felt material to protect the phone from the case.

I tried it on my phone and it felt incredibly cheap, tacky color/design, and lack of real protection. If it fits your needs then awesome. For me I am kinda rough on things and like protection all around. I can appreciate the usefulness of a kickstand.
I also would like a little more protection. It seems like most of the kickstand cases are hard plastic, but I at least want a gel/silicone insert something like the otterbox commuter often has.
Hopefully they start actually releasing some good cases for this phone soon.

Oh, the black and white ones don't look too bad at all. Price is a little high, but this is very close to what I'm looking for. I really like the grippy edges. I'm hoping that a case will make my power and volume buttons a bit harder to push on accident (which I am constantly doing).
I like the case mate one also and I found it on sale:

That is a good deal alright, but that case isn't for the T-Mobile version. Those are still listed as 'coming soon' on the Case Mate site.
lol...that i didn't know..guess can't get it for cheap yet.
Casemate is still taking forever to get their T-Mobile cases out, even after some rumors that they were coming a couple weeks ago. http://www.case-mate.com/pulse/samsung-carriers.asp . Looks like if it does come out, they will be asking $35.00 (same as Sprint and International price).
Trident said they were going to do their Kraken kickstand case for the TMO SGS2, but then when it came time to ship cases, they ended up only shipping the Aegis case (no kickstand) (http://www.tridenteer.com/categories/Samsung-Galaxy-S-II-(T%2dMobile)/ - $29.95).
But it does look like Seidio has finally shipped a kickstand case, http://www.seidioonline.com/t-mobile-samsung-galaxy-s-II-active-case-black-p/csk3ssg2tk-bk.htm . There is a review for the case here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336684 . Priced at $34.95. There is a 15% off promo code for this case, "Winter11".

I've placed my order for the Sapphire and Amethyst ACTIVE cases from Seidio. There is one review in the linked thread with pictures and then only one other user who made some general comments.
There are no reviews yet on Amazon, but the cases are listed there for the same price (no promo code). Amazon has the black in stock and the others shipping in 2-3 weeks.
I have the Seidio Active, switching from Ballistic. There is a big difference in feeling, mostly due to the Ballistic being so big and harder to press the buttons. I needed something with a belt clip, and I've gone with the Active series for my last 2 phones (HTC Sensation, LG G2x). It's a great combo all in all.
