Stock build.prop for being apps - HTC One X

Good evening.
I've had a browser and a quick search bit not found anything specific to the One X.
I've installed a custom ROM, and more I can't install the RBS banking app from Google Play.
I have purchased For Explorer and found the correct file, but I'm not sure which variables to edit and which strings to use to allow the banking app to install.
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Edit: sorry, title should be "banking app"! Can a mod please edit?

Find this line in the build.prop and change it to the following:
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_europe/endeavoru/endeavoru:4.0.3/IML74K/62864.12:user/release-keys
You'll be able to get it (I had the same issue with the NatWest app)

Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. I'll try as soon as I get of the bus.
Many thanks!

I can confirm this works perfectly for me on ARHD, and my banking app from RBS works as expected.

Market app missing

I bought a desire hd from Dubai. There is no market app on it by default l. I had a similer problem once with Motorola xt720.
Anybody know how to get the market app on the phone by rooting? Or anything else that might be helpful? Thanks in advance

Download the market application (found here on the forums - use search )
Then use one of the methods to put the app on the phone.
1. via ADB recovery booted
2. flashable.zip
3. installable APK.
All of these can be found here.
Alright, I'll give it a shot. Thanks man

Google Ears outside the US

Google Ears (like Shazam / Soundhound) is automatically disabled for Canadian (maybe other non-US?) Nexus 7 users, I guess because we can't buy music from the Play Store. It's in system/app, but it's frozen.
Titanium Backup will not allow me to unfreeze. I moved the existing apk and odex with Root Explorer and put this in it's place, set permissions, rebooted and installed. Works fine, but it doesn't stick around after another reboot. I can restore it with Titanium and it'll work again... until the next boot.
It's so quick in identifying a song vs Shazam. Any ideas?
I'm sure there must be an easier way, but it seems that converting it to a user app with Titanium after restoring does the trick.
It's disabled in UK too. I just set permissions using root explorer (rw, r, r), put the widget on my homescreen and it's stayed there through all reboots. Didn't notice any icon appear in the app draw though.

Strangely enough, it isn't disabled on UK Nexus S's (my friend has one, unrooted stock, I saw it there after he got JB update).
All I had to do was defrost with Titanium Backup.
I can't even get it to install .Works fine on my OneX side loaded the apk to the N7 and it just goes through the motions of installing then says failed

It's a widget, shows up as Sound Search. I'm amused at the propensity for Google to always have two possible names for one service... you never know for sure where something is going to show up in the app drawer / app manager.
Anyone having trouble may want to try the version from the Google Ears/Sound Search (From Jelly Bean) thread over in dev / hacking.
For users in Canada, Google has it disabled
use tibu to defrost it,
type this in terminal emaulator:
su
pm enable com.google.android.ears
then use this link to update it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.ears
don't search, it wont work use the link. This worked for me.

Nav app HTC official car dock D110

I'm currently waiting on delivery of the D110 HTC car dock. Didn't really do my research thoroughly and only just discovered it doesn't appear possible to change the default navigation app from either HTC locations or google maps. As I have paid for sygic and rate it highly idea anyone know of a work around to have it as the default in car mode.
Thanks in advance.

It is possible to change but only with using a custom rom as far as I know. If you were to have ViperX rom installed there is a tweak which allows you to change from the default software. Other than this though I do not believe it is possible with the standard stock.

Thanks for the reply. I have a quandry now because although rooted I'm an ARHD traditionalist and looking forward to mike releasing his JB rom. Had another suggestion that Car Home Ultra from the play store could be the answer. Thanks again
I'm pretty sure that suite tools (optional addon when installing arhd) can change the default car mode navigation app

Yes recently found that out. Under "others" near the bottom is the option to change default navigation app. Thought my problem was solved but unfortunately made no difference

It's asking you to replace a system app which means that it is already installed. just check again mate..
To make sure that its installed go to Setting --> Apps --> All then search for "notes"
If you found it, try to add its widget to your homescreen. and also, make sure when you are searching for it in the "app drawer" that you are in "all" tab not in "downloads" tab because it's a system app and it is not downloaded..
If notes app didn't show up that means that there is something wrong with that notes app you have and it requires root access to remove that system app and replace it with another one but its pointless as you said that your phone is not rooted..

Wait a few weeks and you'll see blinkfeed on the app store, HTC should be putting most sense features up as individual apps soon.
