A question about the colors of accessories - Galaxy S III Accessories

Like the topic says, I have a question about the accessories colors from the s3.
Are the accessories more designed fore the blue or for the white s3?
I want to buy a s3 but I don't know which color would be better for the accessories so I hope you guys can help me!

To match the colours, it's really upto you how you think of it. I actually have the blue and i find it quite hard to find a perfect match with most lite colours cases, with blue it mostly grey, black, silver, brown, blue and similar dark colours, whiles the white S3 can match with many lite and dark colours.
I'll be getting a white S3 soon, so i'll have two.
already have about 9 cases, mostly dark and transparent colours.

As the person above stated, a white S3 will basically go with anything while certain colors look good for the blue. Don't let that be a deciding factor though since there are a lot of good looking cases that match the blue s3. I roll with a blue s3 cause it looks good.

What I do notice is that 99% of all accesoires are displayed with the white version. I have the blue one and sometimes it is hard to think if it matches the case. Nonetheless the blue color is very nice.

yeh, all adverts, photo's and reviews all use the white unit.

Simple, as stated above, white goes with everything, blue doesn't. I've had blue phones in the past and won't do it again. Regardless, the blue is still a good looking phone.

What Windows Phone 7 theme do you use?
Would be interesting to see what combination is the most popular
Mines Orange on Black
I use the standard blue,
But what I would really like to use is Black on White...

That'd be a pretty cool theme. Would probably look like the email theme.
I have not decided on one yet but its interesting to see the votes though.
I personally swap, lean abit more to orange (which is what I voted for) but would swap to blue when I'm feeling like it lol.
I'm using "HTC" on black.
I found the green HTC theme better than other green.
I'll be using Red on Black!
Just pushing this thread back up since WP7 will be coming out in the states this week, and hopefully would push the total votes up
Pushing again, same reason as my last post
orange on black atm, cant wait untill its possible to use custom colors and do black on black

agree, black&white and/or greys would be great.
on another note during day i almost always use the white design and after sunset/when its dark i switch to the dark design.
i would have never thougt i would actually take the hassle of switching back and fort but somehow the two designs are really practical in different lightning conditions. I really appreciate microsoft included both options; one of the features which tunred out to be super usefull on WP7 enabled phones
Teal on Black here
Teal is like Blue, but stylish Try it
any chance that in a future update.. i might be able to have a little bit more variety in my colors?? don't get me wrong.. the "core" colors are pretty much there...but they completely forgot about other major colors... such as yellow, grey, white, black (as a tile color not the background... in case you're completely oblivious to the obvious) etc... it doesn't seem like something that would be that hard to minclude in an update.. yet it seems very elementary that it would be forgotten at launch
I think a colour selection wheel for the tiles would be awesome.
I'm using green on black because it's the most power-saving combination for SAMOLED-screens but I'd like to try grey on black or maybe gold on black.
I thought Id like green on black, but i tried red on black (which i originally thought was too strong a color) and it works surprisingly well
Push. Incase theres more peeps who recently received their WP7 device.
Just FYI,
For the Samsung Focus and Omnia 7 or any device using Amoled screen.
Do not use:
- White background, it takes 3 times the power of normal LCD to produce white.
- Red theme, it makes characters look more pixelated and the edges of tiles grainy.
- Blue theme, blue color dies first in Amoled screens.
Do use:
- Black background, it uses the least power and much much less than a LCD.
- Green/lime would be your best bet since the fonts and tiles look much more clear and crisp because of the double pixels/saturation on green color.

[Q] White or Grey?

ordering the X, any differences between the white and grey?
never owned a white thignie in my life all black lol except the HTC Flyer! and yeah the macbook pro, rest are black thinkpads, HTCs, galaxy nexus, blackberry and the list goes on on smart phone arena (except the silver HTC Desire)
i'm this close ' ' to get the Grey, but seems the white looks neat?
Theres already a thread on this and theres no physics differences besides color.
White will get dirtier easier, grey won't. Personal preference.
Both look great

Samsung's choice of color

Anyone think there a relative decision to release the galaxy s3 line of phones in red, white, and blue? Seeing how they were all in the Olympic mix

I like the change. Blue is beautiful and black is too common. Metallic Grey would've been good, too. But nothing beats pebble blue.

I think it was a complete coincidence. I think the white and blue colors are much more aesthetically pleasing than black. They're calming colors. Black is just kind of the neutral default. As for the red one, I'd bet that was 100% AT&T's idea. It doesn't fit the calming nature of the pebble blue and marble white or the nature ideas of TouchWiz. It's kind of tacky, imo.
Also, if you're implying that those colors were chosen to represent the US or something, I'd say you're almost certainly mistaken. First, red, white, and blue are all very common flag colors. Who's to say which country they chose the colors to represent? Second, the phones are being released around the world in the same two colors, including to countries with no white or blue in their flags. Third, assuming, then, that they were chosen to represent the Olympic colors rather than a country, what about the yellow, green, and black versions they would have to release? Fourth, if they were to release phones in special colors for any country, it would have to be their home country of South Korea, which actually has the colors white, blue, and red on their flag but is not getting the red phone.
Really, I think it just came down to the most aesthetically pleasing colors: white and blue (at least the particular shade of blue they used). Almost any other color would have either destroyed the whole design language or just looked really ugly. I don't think a pebble green (or moss green or leaf green or whatever) would have gone over quite as well. Same with yellow, pink, violet, brown... I mean, if the phone isn't black, what other colors could you use that wouldn't be ugly to a large portion of the population? White and light blue, exactly what Samsung chose (Nope. Still not counting red. I think AT&T really ****ed that up).

Ha! I was just going to point out the same thing :good:
I wanted Black or a "Gunmetal" Gray personally. Don't want a purple "pebble blue", so went white. Don't hate it, but everything else I own is Gunmetal and/or Black. Electronics, most of my shirts, even my car, lol
they may, but you´ll have to pay some extra money for a fancy color. I stay with the black and keep it classic.

As an international phone that was first released in England (obviously the location of the games with the same flag color), this would fit right into the OP's theory. It's not just an American market they're selling to.

What color did you get?

What color did you get or do you plan on getting?
I ended up with the black but I was really debating on the gray. It was really hard to tell what the gray really looked like in all of the pictures. The lighting always made it look different.
I was pretty disappointed in the color options this year. How do you feel about it?
Got the grey
Got black and I am also disappointed with the color options. I even asked Samsung if I can get the bundled Buds+ in black but they only ship white, ehkem with a 1349€ phone... Nevertheless I got into some discussion with their support and they gave me two additional wireless chargers that cost 60€ each.
I never really understood why there is mostly such a trend that top phones get less color options. Note 10 was banging and S20U is like duuuuuh... Maybe they thought that everyone will use a case because of that camera bump but it is not a good argumentation though.
Grey cuz black is kinda boring. I bet they’ll come out with another color in a few months.
Cosmic Gray
I'm not going to limit the phone I wanted to get due to a cir preference so obviously I got the only color available which was black. Stupid how they do that but whatever. Provided it was an option I would've gotten gray.
Like most people have already stated, colors were boring this year. Black was unoriginal, grey seemed too basic. I chose black.
Black, because only Black was 512GB.

I went gray as well. The rep at Best buy said the ultra was the only device being ordered today.

Interesting. In Canada, only the Grey is 512GB.
In the UK only Grey is 512GB Ultra
And its exactly what I ordered ?
Black, because that was the only option for 512GB. I wanted the Grey.
Samsung, you disappoint with the color options as usual. I wanted a white Note 10+, had to get black. At least do ceramic or something like you did with the S10+ 1Tb, that was cool for the crazy price we are paying
Black 512 for me too, I always regretted not getting the s7 in the shiny silver colour, I wouldn't mind seeing that again.

I appreciate that I couldn't get grey in 512, made me realize I upgrade so much that getting the 512 in black isn't very smart since generally it will be worth about the same as the 128 when I upgrade.
I can understand why it would be less than ideal for others, but for me it worked out
Black because I haven't had it since the S2
Ordered black as it hides the camera bump best
Got Black. Thought everyone will go for grey. I might stand out. Also black is the only model with 512Gb
yeah I ordered the Black 512gb and I actually held the S20 ultra black today at best buy, and I`m glad I ordered the black one it looks lot better with the bigger camera bump, and doesn`t stand out like it does on the grey.

The S2 was awesome. Those were the days.

Need help about the color please

Hello Guys,
I know everyone should just buy the phone that he likes the most and choose whatever color he likes, but I am having a real hard time deciding between the Cosmic Black and the Cosmic Grey S20+.
The problem is I cannot go and check by myself in the store, so I can only rely on internet pictures. My sister bought me a black one this week as a gift, but I kinda like the grey color too. She still can replace it, as it is still sealed.
Actually I am using an S8+ Midnight Black and my question is : Is the S20 series Cosmic Black as deep as the S8 Midnight Black ? If it's a litte bit lighter that would be awesome, like a very dark grey. I just want to know if there is any contrast between the camera module and the rest of the phone's back ? That's actually the reason I am tempted by the grey, because of that contrast, but I find it too much in the grey version.
Anyway, could anyone post some pics of his Cosmic Black S20+ witth the most realistic color possible? The ideal is a picture of an S8+ and S20+ backs next to each other (in black). I know it's too much asked
Cosmic grey pictures will be also welcomed.
Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand my hesitation.
Thanks a lot guys,
Best regards,
Taieb
So i tried to take 2 pictures. One outside with natural light and one inside with a lamp. Honestly both looks really bad and don't capture the color but i also attached 2 photos from my carriers website. I think they are actually quite good so look at them too. Alternatively just go on YouTube and search for both phones.
S20 series Cosmic Black is the same real black like on S8+ Midnight Black. I got the Cosmic Black because it's better. I would keep the Black because of the black frame.
