media scanner running - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Ok, I downloaded the app called "Mobile Hidden Camera"
Tried it once and got out of it
Tried to look at the pictures it took - says "media scanner running..."
Wiped app data and uninstalled
Still can't look at gallery or use native camera - I can however use the CameraFX app, but cannot view pictures afterwards
Heeeeeeelp.... (I also sent an email to the dev of the app but no response as of yet.)

Gallery help

For whatever reason pictures from picasa are showing up in my gallery and I have never used picasa and it won't let me delete them. They constantly show in my gallery and I can't get them out...
Any suggestions? Thanks

I somehow managed this one as well.
Would hope for a more useful reply.
I tried toggling sync under my google account and rebooting and such and even tried manually searching for the pictures internally in my phone.
Fortunately, I made a non-related nandroid like 40 minutes earlier before applying a framework mod.
Reverted and reapplied to get back to where I was.
All I did to get the stubborn buggars to show up in the first place was click the "refresh" option in gallery.

i think the pics come from google+ (at least in my case)
should be the same pic you see in google+ / photo
so..or u uninstall google+, or remove all the pics in google+, or you have to live with the pics in ur gallery as i do
1. Disable sync for google photos under account & sync
2. Go to apps > Gallery
3. Force stop then clear data
If you enable google photo sync accidentally, the picasa album will show up in gallery again. Just repeat the steps above to remove it.
Lastly, use search next time. This question has been asked gazillion times.

thanks it worked, even if i didn't enabled gooogle photos synch..maybe the first time i installed it, it was enabled...
anyway they disappear from the gallery after a phone reboot (maybe just sdcard rescan is enough)

If you have google+ installed and the albums are showing up again, clear data for G+ too.
They need to patch this coz it shouldn't be so troublesome.

Shell has been granted superuser permission

Sprint Samsung gs3, rooted, stock.
I'm getting a popup once in a while that says, 'Shell has been granted superuser permission.' This is often followed by the phone running hot if it doesn't crash all together and/or reboot itself.
There is no single thing that seems to trigger it. I can be surfing a browser or using a host of different apps, and I'll get the popups. One particular thing triggers it every time is the gallery, but only one particular folder (of course it's the one with the camera images in it!). Any of the other folders the gallery sees work just fine, but the camera gallery loads, freezes, prompts the shell message, then closes the gallery all together.
I updated the su binaries in superuser today from version 3.1 to 3.1.1 and it made no difference.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Shell is most likely a terminal emulator application. Check your installed apps to see what it might be, because it seems that you're either not exiting properly or its running excessively in the background
And that grayish popup, called a toast, is just the Superuser application telling you that that app is running and it has root privileges
Shell is not one of the installed apps. It doesn't show up in the list of running apps or installed apps, and doesn't show up in the list of approved apps in Superuser either.
That being said, I think I found the problem... Since it seemed to be relegated to accessing the gallery app and, specifically, the one particular folder of photos on the SD card, I unmounted the SD card, popped it into the laptop, and tried to copy over the latest batch of photos and videos (two weeks worth since the last backup). I found two corrupted files, one photo and one video, that windows was unable to access and/or copy over. Since they weren't anything too important (just a pic of my daughter and a short video of my son being goofy), I deleted them from the card, reinstalled it in the phone, and viola! Problem solved (so far). I can't say conclusively that everything that was causing it to crash was because of the corrupted photo and video file, but at least I can access the gallery again without it crashing.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

[Q] Google Camera Remote Control Issue

Apparently they added android wear support into the Google Camera (Google's own camera app). It's supposed to sort of function like the Remote Camera app from Asus, just with google's default camera program instead of Asus's own camera program.
I can't seem to get it to work though and was wondering if anyone had the same issue? Basically I updated to the newest google camera app, and supposedly when you launch the camera app on the phone, a card is supposed to show up on the watch that lets you take control. That card never shows up for me... Has anyone else tried and had it work successfully?
I don't really like the Asus camera app otherwise I'd probably default to that program.

The card shows up for me (though when I just used it to take a picture the phone rebooted :/). You might want to keep the Asus app, though, because the only thing the Google one does is let you tap to take a picture; no changing settings or anything.

Hancom office stopped working

I don't know when this started but I can't open any Hancom app except Viewer.
I tried uninstall/install but every time I open app I see white background and app minimize (no FC though).
Also tried Google and found nothing relevant.
SM-T700, stock ROM rooted.
Any thoughts?

I think my Note is possessed

About 3-4 days ago my TW launcher started randomly crashing. I ended up going to the Google Now Launcher which crashes but less than TW. I'm sure there's an app not getting along with it but there is already an ongoing post about this issue.
I have a San Disk 64gb card in and photos are saved to there. Tonight I was getting ready to upload a picture from the gallery and when I opened it there no pictures to select from. I cleared the cache and reset the app, checked the settings to make sure scan device was enabled was checked and it is. I am able to open music and video from sdcard and apps no problem. I downloaded a 3rd party gallery app and it picks the sdcard photos no problem. Something is messed up with the gallery app. It still doesn't recognize pictures.
Anyone have this issue??

Its been going on with several of us. Most likely from the latest update of apps would be my guess. Im not an expert but this is when it began for me, also my wifes Note 4

For me deleting Facebook and restoring it to the original version that came with the phone fixed this issue
Well my gallery issues are fixed and I went back to TW. I cleared several apps. I also went into gadget Disabler and enabled bloatware reset the phone and then went into gadget Disabler again. I got rid of Allshare, Shealth, Chromecast, ATT Bloatware, SGear, and a couple widgets, Music, SMilk, Flipboard viewer. Everything else I left because I think some of the things that were picked messed up my Gallery and right now I have no lag so I'm pretty satisfied for now
