Bluetooth earphones - Galaxy S II Accessories

Hey guys, I'm looking for some bluetooth headphones and hope some of you have some experience and can help me.
Basically I'm looking for something like this: (just so you get a rough idea) http://www.desinformado.com/wp-cont...lantronics-backbeat-go-wireless-earphones.jpg
They should:
- be light
- Have a runtime of >=5 hours
- be easy to use while doing sports
- Not cost more than 60€
- have a play/pause button, maybe a next/previous song button as well
If you have any experience and can help me, I'd be grateful

ditto...
I'm interested as well...

SE MW-600?
I have been looking/googling for these last week.
SE MW-600 has many purpose. can be used for sports(in ear buds but still might fall). same with Samsung HS3000(cheapest of them all). There is also the Jabra clipper and jabra Sport.
with your budget of 60 euros, you can get the sample that you gave(Plantronics/there was one online with a hook). or you can find the one from motorolla (S10HD)but the reviews were not good regarding audio quality.

Just to give you a bigger choice: You don't need pause, skip etc. buttons.
One button is enough, then you can remap them for example like this: one click: play; two clicks; pause; long click; skip one click, long press; skip backward.
And as far as I know, Android doesn't support more than one button, so this is anyway nonsensical.

Hello,
I have 2 BT headphones, Sony Ericsson MW600 and Jaybird Freedom, I just the first at work and the latter in the gym, specially to run.
Feature wise, MW600 has that beautiful oled display which not only shows the phone number for incoming calls but also the artist/song name while listening to music. It also has 5 buttons for play/pause, next, previous, power, answer/hangup. The volume is controled in a "touch strip" so you slide your finger to one side to increase the volume and to the other to decrease it. Honestly I'd like better if there where regular volume buttons, instead of this "touch strip", but it isn't really a problem for me.
This headset has the advantage of having a 3.5mm connector for the earphone so you can easily replace it in case yours break or use the one you like better.
As for the Jaybird Freedom has no display, but has 4 buttons for play/pause, volume up/next, volume down/previous and power. The main advantage of this headset IMHO is his design, meaning that the whole unit (battery, earpieces, bluetooth receiver etc) are a single unit so you won't have any gadget dangling as you run or workout, it just stays in place, sturdy in my ear. The downside of this approach are the slightly bulk earpieces, but this don't bother me at all.
Sorry if the text got a little long, but I wanted to pass along my experience with these 2.
Edit: I use both with my Galaxy S II, but I also used it with the Motorola Atrix I had.
Best regards,
Fernando Toledo

I have been using the Backbeat 903 from Plantronics for quite a while and I am very satisfied with it. It's not as tiny and the Backbeat Go but it is lightweight and got all buttons functionality. A search on ebay will land you prices less than $50.
Hope this helps

I'm using the Samsung Hs 3000 BT earphones. They cost about 30 Euro, are easy to use and perfect for sports! They can be fixed to clothes and even survived my washing mashine.

I had Plantronics Backbeat 903+ , I used them for running and biking but they aren't sweatproof and after some trainings I sent them back to the reseller because they started to work bad. I suggest H2O Audio products if you want something sweatproof and waterproof.

I found my Beats Bluetooth Headset fully functional on my Wanamlite ROM.
Inclues: Next and Previous Track, Play /Pause, Answer / Drop Calls and Volume Controls.
Makes my music life... wireless! XD

I've taken a look at all of them. H2o audio seems great, but I don't understand why they don't offer bluetooth headsets. They are making waterproof gear, but do not offer bluetooth for that???
Anyway, the jaybird freedom seems awesome, I'm going to get those, thanks man

can't wait for my MW 600 on friday. =D

Lg hbs 700
Been using the LG HBS 700 for the past year. Absolutely awesome!
Has play, pause, next, back and volume controls as well as a call buton which can allso be used for initiating a voice call via voice command.
Very light, doesn't look dorky and sweat resistant I would say,
Bought directly from LG on eBay for around £40 - seller not there anymore though.

Motorola S305
I have Motorola S305. It's good for me. I'm using for play music and runnig. Sound it's stereo. Have buttons to control next, prev, play, pause, voice call...
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-S305-Bluetooth-Headset-Microphone/dp/B002BH3I9U
Good luck

Try the Jabra Sport headset. I'm sure you can get it in your price range if you shop around (amazon, ebay, etc)
http://www.jabra.com/Products/Bluetooth/JABRA_SPORT/Jabra_SPORT

Loving my new SE-MW600

I am using Jabra Street 2 and they are perfect for me.

I use the HM3700 by Samsung. Nice earphone. Excellent sound quality with two caveats:
The bloody app doesn't work for me but it does for others and the connector on the earphone is microUSB so when your battery FINALLY depletes (lasts for a tidy minute).... you're stuck without headphones as you can't use them without the bluetooth connector (which doubles as a monoheadset too).
It's ergonomic and comfortable though.

[Q] Bluetooth STEREO Headset A2DP

Hi, I am planning to buy a bluetooth stereo headset mainly for listening to music.
Therefore, I want the headset to have A2DP and the headset button's can function properly and sync with the captivate.
My first choice is the motorokr s305... I want to verify first if the buttons (play/pause, volume up/down, and mainly NEXT/PREVIOUS button) are working properly with captivate...
By priority, I want to be able to 'next' and previous my songs, mute/volume button, and then play/pause button...
If there are any other recommendations, please let me know!
TIA
I have been using the sony ericsson hbh-ds205 for a couple years now and it works perfectly with captivate. Has all those features your looking for but the best part is you can plug in your own headphones cause it has 3.5mm jack. Which is great cause i can also hook it up to my home stereo system via rca to 3.5mm and hook it up to my car stereo. Has Mic and the play button is play/pause/and answer. With a clip too, to clip to shirt or wherever. Music quality is excellent too
Battery life is great too 8hrs continuous music playback (i think) and like 15 days of standby. Seems like more though I get two days of music listening at work on one charge.
Check it out. Might be hard to find now. I only saw em on Amazon and eBay. I recently got another one from eBay for 40 bucks cause my wife put it through the wash it still worked too just wouldn't hold a charge after that.

T-Mobile just got in some Plantronics Backbeat 903+ stereo headsets. I bought one and it works great with my Vibrant and Captivate.
Works great with Pandora, track forward play/pause and volume up/down.
Give it a look, they're $99.
just got the motorola rokr s10 today and love it, sounds great and synced right up with my captivate of cog 2.2 v6

Wow dude just saw that i think im gonna get that now for sure cause im such a fan of the old one and the new one has even better battery life full buttons instead of a rocker and caller id...sick! Im sold im convinced these are the best bluetooth devices for music listening. Thanks for the tip!

so, with the sony erricson one, you pause play volume up and down using the thing that u clipped on your clothes? i dont like the idea of touch volume control, but i almost never adjust my volume so it will not be a problem with me, lol...
im going to think about this headset, very interesting! the only down for me is, i dont like plug type headset because i dont know why my left ear cant "plug" the headset in, it always came off, even though i already put smaller rubber cap thingy so it can fit in (my left ear hole is smaller than my right one)

[Q] The best bluetooth headset for MT4G?

you could always google search "SE MW600 review" and see what people say. And if you want end users try punching in "amazon SE MW600 review" and see what they are saying.
Personally i use an older Motorola ear bud that serves the purpose.

I Work At best buy and I'm using the Plantronics 975 its a great device very comfortable with great noise cancellation
plantronics 855 is a great headset. a2dp stereo bluetooth and a removable earpiece.
I've been using mine with a Jawbone Icon (Rogue) and I haven't had any issues. It's light, stylish and very functional.
I don't know if these are the "best" but I have the Motorola behind the neck ROKRs, and like them.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875982253
imho
Plantronics Voyager Pro +
Willing to bet you one dollar paypal that it's the best bluetooth you've ever owned.
Reasons:
Gel air filled custom ear fittings *these actually screw on too , very impressive
long mic boom (so people can actually hear you)
not one person to date has said I sound like sh*t (FINALLY)
a2dp support
status updates by pressing power button (announces battery time remaining)
press and hold outer button, it calls a toll free number that you can configure on a website to hookup with your e-mail, it reads rss feeds, news.
I also work for t-mobile and I've used bluetooth headsets ranging from 29.99 to 199.99, some of them I thought were amazing (motorola backbeats) but the problem always came down to whoever I was talking on the phone saying
"dude are you on bluetoooth?"
me: yes
"you sound like sh*t"
me: YARGGGGG HOW MUCH MONEY DO I HAVE TO SPEND TO SOUND DECENT
Many beg to differ, but I've owned the same pair of rocketfish headsets for almost two years now...very good to me with many sweaty head days at the gym.

I know this is a late reply but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents on the topic.
I was looking for something to listen to music while at work (desk job), working out, etc.
I ended up buying the Motorola S305 from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BH3I9U)
I have had these now since February and I am extremely happy with them.
PROS
Comfortable to wear
Decent sound quality
Easy to use controls
Phone headset is has good call quality. Others can hear me as if i'm on the handset
Micro USB charger, same as phone
low cost
CONS
Foam earpieces soak up sweat
no noise cancellation
Overall, for $35.00, you can't go wrong!
Plantronics seems to be the winner. I have both 925 and 975. Both are optimal and work fantastically.
Now my 925 is paired with my HD2, and the 975 with MT4G.
Are any of these recommended for both phone calls and for working out (sweat resistant)? I'm just mainly looking for headphones for working out minus the dang cord. Also if I get a phone call when I'm working out or shooting basketball, I wanna be able to answer without stopping.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
bump... anyone have an opinion? Just waitin to buy one for some input from people who I actually trust lol
I've owned the Plantronics BackBeat 906 for almost a year and have had mixed results with both a G1 and a MT4G.
It can be so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it. But sometimes the earbuds are loose, mostly when worn under bicycle helmet straps. Because it's loose, I can't hear music very well.
Audio sounds great. Convenient controls. Haven't figured out how to skip a song on Pandora or a podcast on Listen though. Clicking play sometimes starts a saved voicemail rather than Google Listen or Pandora. I'm not sure how to define the "default" media app in Android.
Paring is hit-or-miss. Often it pairs with just the phone audio and not the media audio. This happened more on the T-Mobile ROM than it does on Cyanogenmod 7, but still happens. The solution is a cumbersome opening of the BT settings, long-press the device, un-check and then re-check Media Audio.
Reception is good if the phone is within 20-30 feet (the advertised range.) Reception is horrible if the phone is in a pocket. I have a backpack with a very high pocket and that usually works, unless I turn my head to the left. It is VERY annoying.
Here's what I sent to Panasonic:
I own a G1 Android-powered phone and about 50% of the time when I turn on my BackBeat 906 it syncs with the phone audio, but not the media. Is there some trick to get it to sync with both?
Also, the reception is so poor that when the phone is in my pocket the audio drops out completely. I am tall, but much less than 30' tall.

Their response:
Please try a reset...press and hold the power button on the headphones....and while you are doing that, please connect the charger to the Backbeats until you see a blue or red solid light and then release the button.....let it charge for an extra 30 seconds and then try to use them
Also, delete the headset from your cell phone's list of paired devices. Once deleted, make sure to power your phone completely off. Then power it back on. (This will reset the Bluetooth stack in the BT software on the phone). Then re-pair the headset with your phone.
If this does not fix your issue, my suggestion is to try pairing the headset to another cell phone, if possible. If the issue continues with the second phone, you will need to replace the headset. If your headset connects properly to the second phone, then the problem may be with the first phone rather than the headset.

...did not help. I still struggle with piss-poor reception when the phone is in a pocket.
well what frickin good is a bluetooth headphone set if you can't have the phone in your pocket lol
Yes Rosebud1, it is extremely frustrating! It's fine sitting on a desk, but for cycling, running, or walking I would not recommend this headset.
Thanks for the reply. What horrible customer service too!!
Yeah, it was a pretty useless response. I suspect it's just a horrid design flaw that they know they can't fix, so sending the customer on a wild goose-chase delays the inevitable.
U should check out the jabra clipper. I use it when I work out n its awesome

so basically... it seems like no one has found a really good set for a decent price

[Q]"Best" Headset for Note?

Hi all,
I'm wondering what headset (Bluetooth/Wired) you use for your Note? I'm using Marshall Minor, but I still find the volume not loud enough.
Would any of you recommend something else? I live in Hong Kong which is fairly noisy, so something that has good volume would be great.
Thanks in advance!
I haven't got a Note yet, but I use the Sony MW600 bluetooth headset with my HD2. And I'd be lost without it - best thing I've bought!
No problems syncing to the device, it has remote control (pause, next/previous), hands free talk as it has built in mic, and comes with in ear buds, which are very good indeed. They block out quite a bit of external noise too, but you can plug in any headset you want to it if you want to go to higher spec headphones. Battery lasts about 10 hours continuous use, and it will re-charge of your Note's charger.
I'm not an audiophile, but I do like music. And it does me fine.
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.ph...w600---black?gclid=CLftmIS1n6wCFYEZ4QodOzpc_Q
Edit - Just had a look at the Marshalls, and these would offer a tighter fit in the ear then the Marshalls, so would block out more external noise. I wear mine in work, even if i'm not listening to music. I work in the print industry with loud machinery, and they are better than the ear plugs we get given, which reduce external noise by 27 dB. If I'm listening to music in work while my machines are running, and you want to chat - then you ain't gonna get through unless you're in my face!

My previous headset was the Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800
Compared to the Sonys:
- They seem to fit better in my ear (they come with 3 different bud sizes)
- The earbuds are slightly larger and so I guess they do stick out a little more, though I haven't noticed any issue with it
- An extra 2 hours of call/music time
- Have FF/RW controls as well as volume adjust (The Sony's only have Play/Pause/Answer)
- I haven't had any issues with people hearing me or me hearing other people when using them, but I've yet to test them somewhere really noisy
- They come in Red (if that's your thing)

I was thinking about this but didnt bother getting one once i saw the Note, not as big as the press would have u believe!

Besides being a gadget phone nut I am also a sick buyer of headsets. I have been in search of the perfect headset forever ..
There is one by Sony that I love the way it fits. They don't make it any more and every now and then I find one on eBay ..
I have the Sennheiser bluetooth headset. If you look hard you can find one new on eBay most of the time for about $60 .. I like that one a lot because I have small ear holes and those go on the outside of your ear ..
I also have 2 Bang & Olafsen bluetooth headsets .. One left ear which I am keeping and the other right ear which I am gonna sell when I find it .. I also have the wired Bang & Olafsen head set. I read that it has a teeny tiny microphone somewhere .. I don't know if that is my model .. use it for listening to music ..
I actually have a box of discarded bluetooth headsets. I should put them all together in one lot and sell them. Maybe I will do that today. Don't know if I can find all the chargers though .. They are all discarded because I find them uncomfortable to wear.
For music or movies I use the Sennheiser M400s which have a nice balanced sound and good battery life. For calls, it's hard to go past the Plantronics Discovery 975 - small and sleek, super comfortable to wear, and really good battery life (especially with the included charging case).......
I can't wear anything that doesn't go around the ear. And if it goes in the ear, ugh. After a half hour I have to take it out because it gets painful. Maybe if I had bigger ears .. or Man Ears .. it wouldn't be so bad. They are doing hearing aid implants now, maybe they could do a little bluetooth implant ??

Any chance you can take a picture with the headset on? I want to see how it looks on and have an idea on how much it sticks out. I cannot find a pic or review anywhere for this headset.
I got these 2 days ago from Amazon:
amazon.de/Philips-SHB9001-00-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B00424O4RU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320610417&sr=8-1[/url]
the quality while talking is not the best but its enough for me.
Despite the positive comments about the quality of just listening to music, i can hear some "scratches" when a song gets "heavier". This is my first BT Headset so maybe its normal for BT headsets, or i just overlooked a setting i have to change in the Software.. Hint, anyone?

Hi, thanks for replying. I do not have a budget in mind, my usual principle is to pay what's worth its salt.
So far, everyone's recommended bluetooth wireless headsets, I'm not a big fan of charging stuff, having need to recharge my phone nightly already. But if there are no better wired devices out there, I might as well get Bluetooth because call quality is more important to me than music quality which my Marshall Minor does just fine.
I'm looking for a $100 max wired in-hear headset with mike and very complete remote too. It seems Android is not very friendly with those at all, so I'm thinking I'll have to go Bluetooth. What I found:
- http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/mc2.html, if their software works on Note (untested)
- a-JAYS One+, coming in Dec.: http://www.jays.se/products/earphones/a-jays-one-plus.html (uses software too)
- Sennheiser just confirmed they have nothing wired.
- Klipsch: Image S4A http://www.klipsch.com/image-S4A-headphones being adapted for S2, Note = S2 ?
- Samsung: told me to go f... (...ind a solution by) myself
Soft: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.kober.headset , and others, look for "headset control". This one has a trial version, yeahhhh ^^
EDIT: I'm putting everything worthwhile I find in this post, so as not to spread it all over the place.

Hi, thanks for replying. I do not have a budget in mind, my usual principle is to pay what's worth its salt.

I am very happy with my Bang and Olefsen wired headset ..
hi all... just like to pop a quick question:
does the Gnote able to accept the standard wired headphones w/mic from other brands for example: UE? i am on galaxy S and i have been searching for headphone w/mic to replace the original ones from samsung but as usual when i connect other brands of headphone w/mic to my S; all i can hear is the music.. whenever i am making calls the headphone fails me...

Any chance you can take a picture with the headset on? I want to see how it looks on and have an idea on how much it sticks out. I cannot find a pic or review anywhere for this headset.

I'll try and sort one out later today.

Bluetooth Handsfree

Hi all
I am looking to buy a good bluetooth headset (not headphones).
Criteria
1. Volume and clarity
2. Battery
3. Reliability.
Suggestions pls.
Try sony ericsson mw 600 i really love it
sent from my lovely note....
The best headset I know (and use daily) is the Plantronics Voyager PRO HD:
+ clear receiving
+ very clear voice talking, especially impressive in windy conditions (use mine in a convertable and often people don't hear whether I have the hood down or not)
+ good battery
+ comfortable fit (I can use it while wearing glasses without problems for hours)
+ reliable connection
+ nice extras like automatically answering call when you put it on your ear and app for android
- not the most stylish
In current reviews most of the time either this one or the Jawbone Era is the winner.
I love my Jawbone Icon. 3h talktime, over a week of standby, <1h full charge, good noise suppression. The only issue I've found is sometimes when I walk out of bluetooth range in need to switch it off and on (or BT in my phone).
LG Tone HBS-700
Hi, i'm new here!
The Bluetooth that I bought is the LG Tone HBS-700, the best buy ever for me.
Very Good Sound for music player
Confortable and light
The battery really good, i use two days without problem. 10 (ten) hours of talking or music player
Always my phone is in silence, but the product have a vibrator
In my work five friends have it because they asked to me, and they are very satisfied.
Browse on amazon USA
The product with 4 of 5 stars of 900 reviews

Plantronics M50
Connect 2 devices simultaneously
Very comfortable
Small and discrete
Long Battery
Noise reduction (wind, background noise, etc...)
Listen to music
best bt headset i ever had
samsung hs3000 you can charge and use it at same time ,i think its the only one
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/BHS3000NBACSTA
Thank you all..
Forgot to mention that I drive around a lot, hence good noise+wind suppression is important.
I also wear prescription glasses - so it has to be something easy to wear yet something that anchors well. Needless to say fatigue free.
Can I get all this in an unobtrusive package (am in Sales)... or is it wishful thinking!

I really like my bose, its 150 a bit expensive but its the best one i tried, I tried about five before sticking with this one.
thanks
Hi
+ 1 for the sony MW600. Sound is really good I think. I regret the problem of song title and caller name not displaying. But it is OK specially for its affordable price

I have a Nico that I'm fond of. Was fairly inexpensive, works well, has good battery life, and it's a nifty disk shape against the ear and and quite comfortable.
Sent from my BBP
I use BlueAnt Q2 - connect to 2 simultaneous devices, reads out names of callers - no issues - gr8 battery life.
+1 for SE MW600 has served me well for many years, battery life and audio quality outstanding, you get fm radio that the note already has.

[Q] Where can I get amazing headphones with track control?

I've been searching for the ideal cordless headphones for my galaxy player. I commute to the city and the cord on my Sennheiser HD448 gets annoying real fast. Especially since I have to whip my 5inch device out of my pocket to change songs. (I use PlayerPro to replace the volume key function with Next/Prev, but it's still a hassle). It would be so much easier if I could just tap a button on my headphones, but I can't find them for the life of me. If anyone can shoot me a link to somewhere (preferably amazon) that would be great.
Conditions:
- Must be over-the-ear
- Wireless (bluetooth or however those things work)
- Next/Prev track control (If it has both track AND volume control that would be amazing)
- $100-200 price range
I've been using Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth headphones for awhile now. Sound great and only cost like $40-$50 on Amazon. Additionally they give you the ability to use any headphones and make them Bluetooth. Has track controls, volume, play/pause and phone answer/hang up. Also allows you to pair to 3 devices at once. Nice if you wanna listen to music from one device and monitor calls from another ie. IPod and phone.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Looked them up. They're kinda cool since I can use it with my current headphones. I would probably tie up the cords and clip them on my pocket or something. I am mainly looking for something that doesn't have cords at all and has playback options on the headphone cans (or whatever they're called). This would actually be a pretty cheap alternative if i cannot find what I'm looking for. Thanks

phone case
If you need phone case, please search epwelt.de.
I have used these Parrot Zik headphones and they are realy amazing. Nice audio quality, very comfy, touch gestures, automatic pause on removal an very stylish. A major down is that the battery last 4-5 hours with active noise control, which is a pitty for such nice phones.
A friend bought them for 350 eur in France.
I have a pair of FSL zero headphones which would appear to fit your bill. Great sound quality and very comfortable, with track and volume controls. I use them all the time at the gym.

Comes to about $130 with shipping to the US.

Huh. Odd that they would ship to Canada and not the US. Tends to be the other way around. Must be a Commonwealth thing.
You could always use a forwarding company like Forward2me.

Unless I'm blind, I don't see Canada on the shipping list either. Maybe it was a temporary sales thing when you bought it.

Now that is weird. I just bought these in July and they had it then.
Maybe toss them an email and inquire as to why they won't ship to the USA.
According to their support guys, Canada being missing is an error on the order form.
try sending them an email via their support page and see if they'll let you place an order that way.

iheadphones also sells them on amazon, which would be better for me since i have credit. i contacted them on amazon and they later told me that i could order over the phone, which works i guess. But I then asked them, since i have an amazon credit card in the US, if the points earned would work for a UK order. Waiting to hear back.
anything but beats!
I use my own headphones via 3.5mm plug in combination with a black version of the Nokia BH-111.
Using it with PlayerPro on an LG Optimus 2X. That way you can also hook up your phone wireless to the line in of your stereo set. And still opt to use the same headphones wired whenever the battery of the BH-111 is empty. Or connect it to a device that does not support A2DP. Pretty versatile.
List for Samsung htc sony (not sony erricson) and nokika lumia headset and headphones that work all three buttons & mic
- urbeats
- htc beats solo
- Sony smart headset
- Nocs NS200H-001
Nokia purity
Update as I found some more
