Overclock

I am rooted on my DINC 2 running Gingersense. Can I overclock? If so is there a kernel somewhere?

Thank you. I see there are multiple threads on kernels, but I'm looking for one for Gingersense and not Cyanogen. As well, if I posted in the wrong section, why would others also post in the same section?

What he meant was the thread had info and probably a download file attached.
The dev section should only contain files and Roms. Maybe a how to...basically only things that help with development. I never start threads due to I can't develop haha

skyrocket roms

are we allowed to use skyrocket roms on our phone and instructions how because i remember reading before about it thanks in advance.

make sure its a skyrocket rom and not At&t gsII rom. use a hercules kernel after you flash it. there is more information out there I suggest you use the search feature to learn more on the differences between roms on the two phones.
we need a well written sticky about this subject

The phones are almost identical but I wouldnt just assume and trying flashing every single skyrocket roms out there. Use discretion and get a confirmation first from someone who really knows what they're talking about.

ICS update today?

Hey there guys.
Update from MobileSyrup.com says some Samsung devices will be receiving Official ICS updates today.
The Galaxy SIIX which is the Canadian version is on the list. So hopefully this applies to the T-Mobile version as well.
Hopefully the carriers don't slow down the process. It would be nice to see some custom ROMs made from our own official software instead of the Skyrocket port.
This looks like good things to come!

There's no need to port it. When you install it dwitherell put an option to apply the needed att stuff. So basically he already ported it himself.
