what do you guys think about the rearth ringke slim case? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

hello guys
i was thinking about getting a case for my galaxy nexus and im probably going to get the rearth ringke slim.
so i just wanted your input about how it is for the gsm version.
thanks for the help!

plenty of reviews available on youtube, also please check out the case wiki that's stickied on the first page, and search in the search box as this is a very popular case that frequently shows up on this forum.

40+ pages of reviews.

Only case I've ever kept on, and bought twice.

No one ever responded to my question in that main thread. So I guess it wont hurt to ask here.:
I know a few have tried the LTE case with a GSM Nexus, but has anyone tried a LTE case with a GSM Nexus w/ a extended battery? Does it fit better? Or was it the only way to make it fit?

The LTE case fits the GSM GNex with extended

Let us know when you get it if it fits ok with that battery.
Which color did you order?

It is a pretty snug fit with the verizon extended battery?
Thank you for a great find, I have been wanting a bumper case. Can we get a picture of the side with the volume buttons? Does it need to be modified at all for the volume buttons? I only ask because the case I have now is for the GSM version and I had to trim the inside with an emery board because it would turn down the volume by itself. But for five bucks it's not that big a deal.

You wont have anything to worry about in terms of the buttons aligning properly on your Galaxy Nexus.
So is the whole thing Tpu or is the outside hard plastic?

How is the case overall? Is it even giving any protection? It seems like it's not getting to the front at all. Does it add any bulk?
Looks like a nice case. And all for less than $5! In for the white one.
If you'd like to see it shown in a video, I believe this guy shows it at around 1:50 with I believe an extended battery. It's hard to tell since he doesn't talk and only gives thumbs up throughout the video. lol

The white portion is hard plastic.

my guess is that this case will fit for any battery since it leaves the battery cover exposed. The 3800mah battery will just stick out and not be covered. I don't know just my guess since I do not have the case. I think i will still buy one since it looks like it will fit anything.
Also the link says its for the i9250 but the op has it for the sch-i515? So I am assuming this is compatible for both cdma and gsm variants?
Great looking case,
Hopefully they ship to canada
Can the battery door be removed with the case on?

No

I hope you don't mind me posting pictures of the black one.
I have to say, I really like this case. I prefer this over my SGP Neo Hybrid case which I cut the back out of.
You can tell that this is a cheap $5 "chinese made" case because there are rough areas where you can see the injection points.
Also, right above the rear speaker, the cutout is too low exposing some of the housing of the phone itself and not just the battery door. It is very minimal and doesn't annoy me at all.
I can confirm that you CAN remove the battery door while having the bumper on for the GSM GNEX. I tested it with both the extended battery door and the original door. I guess there was a big enough difference in the Verizon one make this impossible.
CANADA
I LOVE that case! I'm looking for a case for my 3800 extended battery. I need it to ship to Canada...
Let me know guys.
At least what I could search on Ebay for it?
Thanks

Full body skins different for gsm/lte?

Seems like a stupid question, but I've been searching for a bit and cannot find a definitive answer. Does anyone know for sure if the standard galaxy nexus skins will fit the lte ones without any issue? I'd really like to run this phone without a case.
Thanks in advance.

Try this site they show some great skins; http://www.istyles.com/skins/phones/samsung/samsung-galaxy-nexus/?cPath=292_606_1061&page=1
I bought a case for the LTE version...I have a GSM...it fits just fine

Ghost armour makes skins for the LTE version, but on the GSM version the cutout for the Samsung logo is off by a little so they cut it, to make it fit.

Are you talking about skins with printed patterns? If so then I would say yes. I ordered a skin from skinit.com for my gsm Galaxy Nexus and while it did fit it just didnt fit properly and I was able to tell something was off. I then checked my receipt that came with the phone and it said SCH-I51 which after some research is the verizon model. Long story short, I told them about it but they didnt do anything for me. So I have a badass looking skin (at least i think so anyways) sitting around not being used.
And so after some MORE searching I found another site named gelaskins.com that do the GSM variants and they fit my phone perfectly, and looks badass aswell in the process.
So to sum up:
skinit.com = verizon/lte model
gelaskins.com = gsm model

Case for GSM with extended battery.

Hi guys.
Does anybody know a good case, that would fit the gsm version with extended OEM battery?
I have now the SGP Ultra hybrid, but it`s not a perfect fit. The sides are not in the right place. Maybe there`s a case that will fit perfectly.
Share your experience please.
Thanks :highfive:

Invalid link.
I've searched here, didn't find answer to my question .
So, i'm asking for personal experience. Maybe a Verizon case should fit, to a Gsm gnex with an extended battery?
I use an otter box from Verizon nexus for my gsm nexus with the extended battery. Fits perfectly with the 2000 mah battery.

which cases are known to properly fit the LTE model?

Which cases /covers are known to properly fit the 2013 LTE model?
ASUS premium case fits perfectly for me. So did the travel case. I think any of them should fit the LTE version.

The reason is : the wifi and the LTE models have different dimensions. A case or even a screen protector which fits one model will not necessarily fit the other model .

A word of warning...it turns out that the dimensions of the WiFi and LTE models are ever-so-slightly different. If you read reviews of the official OEM Asus "premium case" for the 2013 Nexus 7, you'll find page after page of people telling you it doesn't fit. I ordered one and sure enough, it didn't fit my WiFi model. However, Friday, I met up with fellow XDA member @Bob Smith42 and tried the case on his LTE model. Lo-and-behold, it fit like a glove. I have an LTE model on the way anyway, so I'm keeping the case until it shows up. But regardless I just figured I'd put the warning out there for everyone.

That is good to know, didn't realize that. Makes sense why so many were giving bad reviews of the premium case and mine fits perfectly.
