Any opinions on the Mobilicity Galaxy S III? - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Just wondering how any users of the Mobilicity Samsung Galaxy S III are finding the phone so far? Debating between this and waiting for the next Nexus to replace the ol' G2X.

If you are going to wait for the next nexus then the galaxy s4 will be on the horizon..... Get where I'm going?
This phone is killer... I am set until the galaxy s4 myself.

Get the s 3 man. It's a heavy hitter

I got my GS3( SGH-t999V) From WIND and I have not regretted it one bit. I upgraded from the nexus s and I'll tell you that it's worth every penny. Like snake said, if you want it just get it cause you will always be waiting for the next big thing

The GS3 rocks, excellent colors, light, fast. This is by far the best I have tested. I agree with the others, if you don't get it, you will always be waiting for something better.

Best alternative to the SGII?

So....I have decided to pick up another phone that has more options on it such as MIUI and CM9. What would you recommend? I love my SGII, just don't have the patients to wait for Samsung to drop the source. If it is anything like when I owned the Vibrant it is going to be a long wait.

Orginal galaxy s2, galaxy note, or galaxy nexus anything else would be a major downgrade.

Tempted on the note but just assumed it would not work on T-mobile 4G. Will have to do some reading
Thanks for the advice.
Get an Iphone 4S so you will appreciate your SII more.
My wife has the HTC amaze. Its actually a pretty badass phone. She wont let me do anything cool to it though

I would just wait but if you insist HTC Amaze or Galaxy Nexus (Has TONS of support)

Opinions..

Would you give your Galaxy Nexus away for a Galaxy S 3 if you had the chance to?
I want some honest opinions..

No.
Probably not, mainly because the European S3 won't get 3G on T-Mobile.

Nope!
Love my Pure Google Nexus...and the "possibility" of getting updates quicker than phones with carrier crap on them, I'll keep my Nexus; Thank You Very Much! LoL
Also, with the available ports of all the SGS3 apps...can't get any better than this!
Not a chance. Updates straight from Google and no capacitive / physical buttons are too good to pass up. Also, Paranoid Android isn't on the GSIII

Yes if:
-Its the version that's compatible with AWS band
-AOKP becomes available for it

If I do get it.. It would be with Vodafone Australia GSM no 4G. Although I love my Galaxy Nexus (too much) its starting to get outdated, spec wise.
Also, if I do get it.. I'll give the Nexus to my dad, so I can get it back whenever.. And I'd be able to upgrade in December just in time for the next Nexus.
I'm currently running the latest MIUI on my rooted Galaxy Nexus, so I'm not really into high levels of customization, And although I'm not a fan of the Galaxy S 3 design, I think they did a pretty good job software wise. And the fact that it's already been rooted before release gives it a bright start in the development field.
What do you guys think now?

No. I would for a CDMA/LTE Galaxy Note though. Go figure ...

Of course! I'd sell the S3, make profit, and buy a newer Nexus
Seriously, GNX is very fast, SUPER easy to flash/manage (My 9100G SGS2 is a nightmare), and STABLE!! Why switch???
I have the urge to try new phones.. In the past 6 months I've changed 5 phones.. But I loved the Galaxy Nexus the most...
I'm definitely going to get the next Nexus.. So why not try out the GS3 now?

Help me decide. Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note?

Getting a new AT&T phone on Tuesday and can't seem to pick between the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S3. I know the specs for each and will be replacing the stock firmware with AOSP, so I'm pretty indifferent about stock software features. Tell me about your experiences with these phones and what you would recommend.

I have both while i love the notes screen size my s3 is smokin fast!! But the s3 seems a little small after having the note for months...they r both great phones the s pen is nice on the g note it all comes down to what ur looking for u cant go wrong either way!

can you wait until August 29?
Samsung will be * supposedly* announcing the Galaxy Note 2.
but if you can't wait. go with the S3. the Galaxy Note is almost a year old (but not for the US).
Thanks guys. If the Note 2 is announced soon, I'll still have 15 days to return my old one .
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Just because they announce the Note 2 doesn't mean we will see it stateside for months.
I have both phones. Love them both but the SGSIII edges it out. I will probably make make the Note my phone for work to give a little more screen to read exchange mail, etc. on.

That's tough. I have both, the S3 is faster and the screen is crisper. But having that much realestate on the Note is so nice!
The S3 seems so tiny. lol
I honestly never understood the market for the Galaxy Note, I know everyone has different tastes and needs, yes it has a 5.3 inch screen and S-Pen, but seriously if screen size is such a major factor you might as well hold up a nexus 7 to your head..Least thats how I feel, the 4.8 on the S III i think is really pushing the limits when it comes to phones, beyond 5 I feel it might as well be a tablet...so personally I'd say the S III if you find that you like the note then wait for the Note 2 to come stateside.
The Note was a great phone but a tad bulky to be comfortable. I thought it was great at first but started missing the size of my skyrocket. There will be tons of accessories and development for the S3 as well.

i would still suggest to wait until August 29 to see what the Galaxy Note 2 will offer.
if it has the potential to offer a lot, i would get that phone. but if not, get the S3.
and there's also the re-stocking fee to keep in mind with if you decide to get a phone right away, then return it for a different device.
I'll be getting Gnote for now. Thank you everyone for you input.

Anyone else considering going from the s3 to the note2?

Or is it just me? Really digging that big screen...

Im definitely getting one, my poor s3's only a month old. It still seems up in the air about whether or not VZW will get it though
Had a note1 then went to oneX and skipped the s3 because of such small difference between that and the HTC. Selling the oneX for the note2 for sure. My note1 just didn't have the power needed for me to keep it and the oneX but this new note should

I can't decide if I want to sell my One X or my S3. Definitely getting a Note 2 though.
already sold s3
i generally keep changing my phones. ...already sold my s3after watching note2 specifications. ....have used49handsets till date note2gonna be 50th one....used all Samsung flagship models including note1....excited for note2to arrive India. ....i sell myphones before hand as i get good value before a better model arrives and make its value go down

That should be easy: S3. You'll find the S3 and note 2 to be too similar. Having the One X would be a better compliment to the Note 2

Note 2
There is no doubt that this will be my next phone. My contract with sprint is up in Nov. Can I say happy.... Thanksgiving to me!!!!
Let's just hope Apple's "vinegar" don't spoil things for U.S.
I already pre ordered the note II, can't wait to get my hands on it
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
both good phones, if it was me i would keep the s3 on the simple face that the notes are huge!
Just got my SIII this past week and already can't wait for the Note II, I hope the resale value doesn't tank beforehand.
I am definitely going to sell my S3 for Note II. I just miss s-pen a lot. Besides it will compliment my Note 10.1
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I'm not sure yet but I think I'm gonna get a Note 2 and if I like it more than my S3 my poor litte S3 go bye bye.

absolutely not... the big screen is horrible for using the phoen as a phone... i carry a separate tablet for all my tablet needs...
Note 2 is awesome when compared to the First Note, thinking to switch.
I sold my Galaxy Note for S3 primarily because I wanted something smaller than Galaxy Note but at the sametime wanted something bigger screen than HTC 7 Mozart (3.8") or iPhone 5 (4"). So, I will not get the Galaxy Note 2.
I've already sold my GSIII for a good two weeks now! Just patiently waiting for Note II...
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I also just got my S3 at launch and now going to jump ship to the Note II. I loooved the Note 1 but it was just a tad wide for me, but the minutely thinner N2 looks amazing.
I'm hoping my S3 will mostly fund the cost of the N2 at a non-upgrade price.
Anyone that's sold your S3, how much did you get for it? I have an AT&T version but lots of goodies with it.
note2 ftw!
besides the specs of note2 over s3, i prefer the productivity suite of apps that its offering. i won't be needing more pens and papers with this phablet.
this is just enough for me. before i was thinking of buying a table since i already have my ever loyal and still functioning s1 (gt-i9000). then again, most of the tablets with android seems to be missing the phone functionalities (text/sms, call, 3g/4g). only a few of them matches, but not like the note2.
heck, i was even torned between note2 and the superphone lg optimus g. but then again, i buy gadgets based on what i need and its usability. that is how i prefer it.
Will preorder the Note2 on tuesday, the starting price is 629 euro`s in the Netherlands atm. Will sell my S3 this weekend. Very excited about the GN2, the dualcore cpu in the GN1 was not powerfull enough to process all those pixels as it should and felt laggy at times. This should be fixed in the GN2 :victory:

[Q] New Galaxy S2 questions

Can anyone help me out here?
I am looking at getting a Galaxy S2 for my little bro with T-mobile. He is not really big on apps and doesn't care much about Specs really. Just something that has reasonably good call quality, he can text on and download apps on when needed.
It is either this Galaxy S2(which is like 2 years old) or the new Galaxy S Light that is a midrange T-mobile phone that just came out.
IS this still a good buy? It's currently going for free on T-mobile so i was just curious.
Are there any glaring issues with the Galaxy S2?
